How many did you get? lol.
He betters society by forcing them to expand their vocabulary.
No one is asking you to be competitive. If you have no desire to want to 'be the best' at RP'ing, then this thread quite simply doesn't concern you. Just continue to RP the way you have, and continue doing it for the reasons you do it. Post when you feel like it, and simply RP when you feel like it. It's a completely voluntary thing to participate in CtR's idea. Just to put it into context: as much as I love writing fanfiction, I have not once submitted any of my work for the Story of the Week competitions. I'm simply writing for the enjoyment of it and for the people who like reading my work. I have no desire to butt heads with other writers to claim superiority. Given this, no one's really interfered with how I write my stories, and no one's forced me to change how I write. Despite the introduction of a 'competition' for the genre, it hasn't affected why and how I do my work. Perhaps you can look at your RP'ing in the same way. The only thing I see that has become a new requirement is posts must be a paragraph long. How to write this one paragraph is up to you.
XDD I must be an idiot. I could've sworn you had read the chapter, but when I went back and checked I realized that you didn't post anything about it. o.o And there is a mailing list.. type of thing, I think. When you subscribe to a thread, I believe there's a setting to tell the forum to email you whenever a new post is made on the thread. Of course if anyone else posts on it that isn't me, you'll get alerted but... lol, if that bothers you then fiiiine, I'll PM you when chapters come out. And thanks for liking my Kairi, :3. I'm hoping she'll be enjoyable till the very end. I'm gonna be working on Chapter 18 again today (probably will be the last time that I can work on it until Wednesday since I have a final that day), so hopefully I can at least get the majority of it done. Thanks again for the awesome support! You're all uber. :3
Lmfao. Good laugh.

Hey Kitty, Link was voted #2 on ScrewAttack's Top 10 Hoes of Video Gaming. >:| Why I thought of this: I thought you found out Link is a skank.
... Wait, what?
.wma is an audio format, silly. But yeah, be sure to check YouTube's list of acceptable formats. YouTube accepts most of the mainstream formats, but there are always some exceptions.
Committing suicide to 'scrounge up whatever honor they have left' is an individualistic idea. They do things for themselves, and committing suicide for this reason would reflect someone with an individualistic attitude. Asian countries are more a collectivist-society by culture, and is why they have high social cohesion. I think you might be confusing yourself of the definition or how it affects human behaviour, because high social cohesion would mean people would be more interconnected with the people around them, and more importantly, they better understand that other people play important roles in their lives. People with this kind of thinking would be less prone to committing suicide in this respect because they understand the role they play in other people's lives, and the roles other people play in theirs. Collectivist-societies are more attached to the ideas that promote sharing responsibilities, promoting global harmony, and one of the more questionable merits of such a social philosophy: reduce individuality for the sake of unifying oneself with the group. People like this, who understand how they affect other people's lives, and people who like to maintain global harmony would be more hesitant to commit suicide--since they would know the effects this would have on their social circle. Collectivists, I would imagine, would more readily approach people about their problems.
Working on Chapter 18 at the moment, actually. Too uncertain to make any promises, but it's being worked on. As for how far I am, basing on the statistics of how long my chapters usually are now, this one's about 18-20% finished. I have a good feeling about today, though. I might get a lot of it done.
I won't try to repeat everything White_Rook said, but you misunderstand the point of Hara Kiri--or more formally called Seppuku. This ritual--which is sourly outdated and obviously very very rarely practiced anymore--was performed only AFTER a dishonourable act was committed. Seppuku was a way for a person to reclaim his honour for committing a dishonourable deed. Honour was important enough to be equated with the value of a person's life. Killing yourself for the sake of killing yourself was never condoned as a 'high honor' in Japanese history. And you never became a 'holier' person for doing so. Seppuku, while meant to 'redeem' yourself, was looked upon more as a disappointment and an unfortunate turn of events. No one cheered when people committed seppuku, and no one who committed seppuku was praised as an honourable person after his passing or called a hero by any means. If anything, seppuku was a punishment for those who dishonoured their Samurai code, and it was the *only* way to restore one's honour. Committing seppuku was meant to deter people from acting dishonourably.
Thanks for insulting my intelligence. Saying uncouth things are unbecoming.
I'd probably wanna stay here in Canada, but maybe move to the West Coast, perhaps Vancouver. It's pretty relaxing over there. Other than that, I'd *say* Japan, but the market's tough. Awesome place for a vacation, but living there... expensive expensive.
