    Watch her forget about it tomorrow. Spur of the moment choices.

    On the other hand, my limited budget has caused me to be picky. Galaxy looks fantastic, but I've never really got into the Mario games (besides their sport spin-off titles).

    Really? The American dollar was worth more before the war started. At one point, it was worth less than the Canadian dollar.

    EDiT: As of now: $1.00CAD ~ $1.04USD.

    And I like how being the 'President of the United States' means he has the hardest job on Earth. I'm really not fond of how many Americans spout this idea that everything American-related is somehow the most pivotal situation in the world. Stop being so self-absorbed.

    ^ Wow, I'm glad I managed to scroll down before glancing at your post.

    Honestly, that spoiler tag was poorly done. Either remove it now, or change the color so it's the same as the background of the forum.

    Jesus, that was close.

    Assassin's Creed reviews are all over the board. When crap like this happens, you really gotta just try the game for yourself and formulate your own opinion.

    I don't think I'll regret having bought it (I had it preordered, but I won't be getting it until tomorrow or thursday).

    I've played FFXII, and the only reason why magic is required is because there are some enemies/bosses that can only be damaged by magic.

    Otherwise, FFXII is doable off melee alone (I certainly used that route, and struggled with magic-only monsters).

    As well, in Final Mix+ (so this doesn't pertain to "KHII" per se), some of the XIII Mushroom objectives were impossible to do (or was extremely difficult) to complete without using magic.

    But I also agree, summons would be a more accurate comparison, although they were still *required* for some objectives. You could beat the game without summons, but for some of the cups in the Coliseum, summons were a must-use.

    Magic was required in many parts of KHII. Let's not be ignorant. Cure spell? That required magic. While you could say Cure could be substituted with constantly buying recovery items, what's the point--other than to prove a point that's hardly worth the effort.

    People who are trying to crack down on illegal pornography for example, will *only be able* to retrieve 'illegal pornography' if your computer comes up in the red zone from whatever 'search' is being used--and *sanctioned* by the way--at the time.

    Information will be seen by authorities if it falls within the criteria for which they are searching; it's not like your entire computer is an open reservoir of information that will be seen by everyone (unless you're a victim of spyware/adware--which is a completely different issue). Pedophile investigators are not going to snoop into your social insurance, credit card transactions, etc without a warranted reason. Let's not forget that most legitimate websites (like online stores) encrypt and secure your credit card transactions when you're checking out your items.

    Pit looks the most interesting to me from the newcomers so far. I have a sentimental attachment to Fox since the early 64 days, so I don't plan to abandon getting him under my belt either.

    In general, I'm interested in trying out everyone, but thus far, I'm planning to possibly co-main Pit/Fox. But I'm hoping to excel more with Pit.

    Overall, there just isn't enough hype for KHIII fics in particular, even if you do see quite a few of them.

    I'm *hoping* my favourite turns out to be my best, but that's not always the case.

    Simple answer here, though:

    Tourneys --> Best player
    Casuals/Parties/Friendlies --> Favourite character

    True, although above that, I'd say choose characters you simply *like*. It's evident in Brawl that adjusting to certain players--in order to maximize their efficiency--is almost a requirement. I don't doubt that everyone has a particular 'play style' that they may naturally become more accustomed to, but to me it means nothing if that character ends up being someone you don't really like all that much. This might happen to some, and others might be lucky enough to be naturally gifted with the character(s) they like.

    I guess on the tourney scene, when your own money and such is on the line, picking 'favourites' may not be such a great incentive if you know there's a player you're genuinely much better at that might get you that win.

    Of course I'm not saying that one's favourite might/will not/never be one's best, just in many cases--depending on which character you like--excelling with a character you chose to main based on likeness will sometimes require a lot more effort. This is particularly true with Low Tier characters. Gimpyfish is a perfect example. He's absolutely entranced by Bowser. And although Bowser was one of the worst characters in terms of character potential, Gimpy managed to make him work, at least to a point where competitive smashers would wise up to not take him lightly.

    I digressed a little, but in the end, it's great to pick players you're a fan of. When there isn't anything on the line (i.e. casual friendlies), I think it's better to lose with a character you had fun playing with than to win with a character that you could care less about.

    Although, I'd be a little disappointed if I logged on Brawl only to see the servers filled with Sonic players. Lol.
