One can only wonder how the actual game will look like aesthetically.

Meh, I was hoping for at least this; jump-cancelled shines that is. Even in Melee, I've held the B button when jumping out of a shine, so I don't think I'll have a problem adjusting. While I'd like to believe when it's said 'very difficult', I'll reserve judgment until I actually try it myself.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Well, if they reduced animation lag for aerials, less to complain about with L-cancelling being gone.

Since the first gameplay vids came out, it was already noticeable how much more 'floaty'/slower the game pace was. Although I believe Sakurai mentioned early enough that he was going to 'moderate' the speed of the game (safe to say it's obvious what he meant now). More 'floaty' but less lag from attacks; quite interesting.

    Dear god, Moodkip. XD

I think I'll stick to my 52" HDTV for now. I also have a projector that ports out 100" across my basement wall. lol

I saw today's update earlier, just didn't feel compelled to post it here anymore.

I came across the discussions on smashboards about the wavedash, etc. Shame, but oh well. As far as L-cancelling goes, to me it seems 'out' because the default lag is already pretty small in itself. If it got any faster, that'd be somewhat hilarious. I'm content with the delay as it is in Brawl.

Well, now that I'm firmly convinced WD'ing is gone, I'm definitely gonna try to invest in learning the Classic Controller for its L/R appeal. XD, although naturally I'm still incredibly used to the GC controller.

    It's the TerraOnline server. :3

I'm not sure about Mupen64, but for NetPlay, you don't exactly 'double-click' the game from the list. You just highlight it, then under "File" you click "Start Netplay"

Then you browse the list from there.

    I do, and I'm interested. =o

Although I'm using PJ64. Is that a problem, or is it something directly configured in Kaillera?

How did you configure the PS3 controller? Also, are you running it wirelessly or do you run it to the PC via USB?

Yeah, I played a bunch of matches with Crono for some of the afternoon.

I ended up having to install it on my PC. I could've done it via BootCamp, but I don't wanna reformat my Macintosh HD right now. =\ I can't back it up currently. lol.

This pretty much suggests that we might possibly have online competitive play in things like Break the Targets, Race to the Finish, Board the Platforms, 100-Man Melee, etc.

Not too bad if people aren't entirely in the mood to have bouts.

Well, I'm dual-booting Mac OS X tiger and XP. I'm installing XP right now, I only partitioned 3GB HDD to it. XD

Just need XP for the emulator and ROM ;p, and possibly MSN.

    I figured as much.

Sorry for the delay, I'm not on yet because I've been meddling on my Mac for the past few hours trying to get it to work. I'll rant on for a bit about what I've been doing

    - Downloaded BootCamp
    - Tried to install it but got stopped at the Partition stage
    - Apparently my Macintosh HD needed repairing
    - Opening Disk Utility to fix it
    - Repeatedly got denied the repair
    - Got error "Illegal Name"
    - Had to delete a bunch of "Legal" folders that contained 'illegal' text characters that was messing up the verification process of the HDD.
    - Still got denied the repair
    - Had to restart Mac into single-user-mode (Mac equivalent of DOS)
    - Manually repaired it from the code line
    - Rebooted and ran BootCamp again
    - Some files couldn't be moved, thus Mac instructed me to back up my HDD then reformat the entire thing, then restore my user profile afterward and then run BootCamp again

-- Hell no, I don't have a free external HDD to back up a 55gb profile at the moment--

    - Went to redownload Parallels Desktop
    - Currently installing

All that while studying for a test I have on Wednesday. :3

We should be. As far as I know, PJ64 is the only emulator that supports NetPlay (well, I should say PJ64k).

There was a mac emulator for N64, but it doesn't support NetPlay so... I'm here sweating hours to get this to work. XD I have a PC, but it's a desktop and I'd rather not have to go to my dad's office to pay smash.

Luckily I have a Windows XP disc laying around, so I'll be using that OS for the boot-up. Then I'll see what can be done about PJ64, etc.

XD Well, we'll see how it goes. I won't be much fun to fight right now since I have no idea how to use a keyboard for the game, and might.. probably kill myself expertly.

I'll get the hang of it, I suppose, eventually.
