Couldn't you just.. come back and post whenever you feel like it/find the time?

Surely you don't have to permanently remove yourself from the community, right?

FFXII fails in the storyline and character development department.

I praise the voice-overs and the gameplay (even if all it looked like was a simple rehash of FFXI's, hell they didn't even bother to change the Mandragora sprites. I swear to god I felt like I was back in that MMORPG when I first saw them), however other than that, this game is probably one of the most overhyped RPGs I've ever seen. No idea how it got RPG of the year on gametrailers.

The game's transition felt like this to me:
Nice 5 minute cutscene >> 10 hour redundant hack and slash dungeon >> Nice minute cutscene >> 15 hour redundant hack and slash dungeon

45 hours later: Ending credits roll.

Characters were shallow, stagnant and undeveloped, poorly paced story, loads of potential were just left to crash and burn as the game went on. A huge disappointment for me. Oh, and Penelo had absolutely no purpose being there. Vaan too, quite frankly.

The last good RPG Square made for the FF series was still FFX, and that was what, 6 years ago?

FFXIII better not disappoint or I'm going to be one sad FF fan.

Actually, it's interest in how humans can make gender assumptions.

    No, I'm genuinely interested.

It's amazing how people's perspectives on gender can change because of how they talk, or *where* they post, lol.

LOL. Quite interested to see how that changed everything. .. other than a formal declaration.

Is it effeminate to type with correct spelling and grammar? ;D

    Some people might need band-aids.

Yes, but had I been a new member whom none of you had known anything about, and sported a name such as "Grotesque Lumberjack", would one hold the same opinion?

Statistically there are still far more male lumberjacks than female. D:

    FINGERNAILS! FINGERNAILS!

And I art offended at thy comment about mine alleged feminine posts.

I should just change my username to 'Butch' or something.

    Or "Grotesque Lumberjack".

It's also the name of "Rei Enna" from Pilot Candidate (a 15 year old male). ;D

I'll have you know I did. Quite frankly, I found it contradictory.

You said that you'd assume someone named "Alex" is a male because the name sounds 'male'.

My point: Soushirei doesn't sound feminine.

'Sou' is a common prefix for Japanese males: Souichi, Souchirou, etc.

Yes, you see I get that.

However, once again, I fail to see how "Soushirei" sounds feminine--which was actually what my last post was instigating as well.
