Oh what I would give for a completely dual-audio/text version of any KH game.

Nomura was so close... and now he pulls this. If he's going to go that far, he should at least go all the way. Damn him. Dual-Audio and Dual-text options for the win.

That might be fun. I used to do that all the time with my DVDs.

I'm probably just being a paranoid wreck, but that bit on the "official names of the cut-scenes" thing made me suspicious that only Roxas' story and the beginning of Sora's adventure would be available in the Theater Mode. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong though.

When DS switched servers, everything posted from 7:30 that evening onward was wiped from the database.

That might have something to do with your lost 16 posts.

    Really depends on the scene.

The scene where Roxas talks with Namine in that white room, where Roxas is looking at drawings and Namine's talking to him--Namine's german voice actress was absolutely stunning.

With the French version, I really just liked how Saix's voice actor got really into his boss battle; his screams were pretty good. XD

Wasn't all too captivated by the Spanish version to be honest.

XD Report it if you personally felt attacked by the person.

I personally found it hilarious. It was like the person struggled to make a point, and just self-destructed halfway through.

Yes, but FM+ is a completely different kind of title than KH2 in terms of what it's trying to advertise. KH2 was a completely new title that had four years to develop hype for. Everything about the game was different and could be marketed because it had absolutely everything 'new' to offer to its audience. FM+ is hardly a unique title. Many could call it more of a Director's Cut than a new title on its own. As well, KH2 came out only a year ago, the public appeal for it definitely won't have enough time to become as great as KH2's was.

Also, you have to take into account that sales reflect how many were *purchased*, and does not accurately reflect how many of those people actually *liked* the game to the point that they'll buy the same game if it had some extras. This is why so many Hollywood films seem successful in the Box Office, yet are rated poorly by the critics. People buy tickets thinking it'll be great, then come out of it pondering why it was so horrible. This doesn't change the fact that they bought the ticket, but it does mean that not everyone who bought a ticket will be willing to buy a ticket to a sequel. In the case of FM+, this isn't even a sequel, but an expanded version of a game that overall--hasn't really changed.

That being said, it's also important to note that the cost to produce one copy of FM+ is probably higher than it was for KH2. FM+ now features two discs, and if you want English voice-overs for Re:CoM, there's your second very large addition to the cost of the production.

It's not that simple, actually. If Square-Enix re-voices Re:CoM in English--they risk the chance of losing money if the sales don't match KH2's. And that in itself, is doubtful.

As for the English audio/Japanese text, it's not a big surprise. The Japanese gaming industry has a habit of releasing the NA versions of video games back in Japan. This is mostly because very often the NA versions feature many more things than the original Japanese versions did. This isn't the case with KH2, but following convention isn't anything surprising in today's society.

As for telling you to get swap magic, no, I wouldn't tell you to get it if you only planned to play one game. But choosing to only use it for one game is your choice. There are hundreds of games that have been released in Japan but have never seen a NA release, and thus many of us gamers who are aware of titles such as these take advantage of them using methods like swap magic. I personally ownboth Gundam Seed OMNI vs ZAFT and Gundam Seed Destiny Rengou vs ZAFT II PLUS, two very amazing gundam titles that have yet to see a NA release. Others include games like DDR mixes that haven't seen NA shores, lots of anime games haven't hit NA shores either (in NA, the Naruto game Clash of the Ninja is up to the 2nd one, in Japan, it's already had 4 installments + the new Shippuuden EX one for the Wii, all of which haven't seen NA release yet).

Like libregkd said, when people sell games to their friends, most of the time you don't sell the game any higher than its full price. Mostly because that's just common sense, and your friend will probably will never agree to buy a used game for a higher price than a brand new one he could buy through retail.

EB and Gamestop... don't do that. They buy your games for atrociously low prices in comparison to what they sell them back for. KH2 over at my local EB sells for 39.99CAD, the preowned ones sell for 34.99CAD. And they buy it from you for about 10-15CAD.

In the end, if the trend of used video-game sales continues to increase in popularity, the time window for game developers to actually make returns for their products will get smaller and smaller. The moment people start returning these new titles (and at my local EB, two weeks after FFXII's release, there were already 12 preowned limited edition ones in stock), the chance of a brand new manufactured title to be purchased becomes less and less of a possibility.

By English option he meant turning the audio to English or Japanese. FM+ was originally supposed to have English audio. All Nomura did now was add the original Japanese audio track to the game.

This once again baffles me that we can't do this in-game since the audio track is obviously in the disc. Not only that, he might as well should've just taken more time before release to add an english subtitle track and the choice of english/japanese text to completely maximize its international appeal. XD

*gets off his dual-audio/text activist high horse*

Swap Magic, or Modchip. Playing Japanese imports is practically the same thing as playing a backup on your PS2--thus the requirement to do so is the same.

Yes-Asia or Play-Asia are two places available.

While I was doing merely an estimate, double check your options: while it's not dead yet, the 20GB model does in fact, still exist, not just the 60GB model (which was what I was referencing from in my earlier post). Play-Asia retails these for about 500. That makes $250, not $350, a far closer truth to my -$200 estimate.

Please remind yourself that the Wii advertises for a *completely* different gamer demographic. Super Monkey Ball Blitz? Rayman? Warioware: Smooth moves? The PS series has always been a console more directed toward mature gaming. Nintendo has always, and most likely will continue being, a party/younger-gaming-directed franchise.

You also can't ignore that many consumers of the PS3 market are in it for the Blu-Ray player capability. With independent Blu-ray players costing in the thousands, the PS3 is an obvious alternative, so don't go shoveling these "PS3 is a waste of money" antics in every PS3 thread you see.

To a certain degree, the extra 150-200 dollars one has to pay to get a PS3 over a Wii is WELL worth the 1080P.
