Edward grimaced. "That's a little daunting," he spoke. "Don't worry... I will speak to Lestat once we finish this journey, I'll do whatever he wants, and then next time I rip John to shreds he will not be getting up." OOC: sleepy time... ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz.....
"What did he say?" Edward asked. "He and Lestat want you back, don't they?"
"Hannah?" Edward asked, putting a hand to her cheek. "What's the matter? He is bothering you, too?"
"I have a feeling Van Helsing will be no use against Lestat," Edward admitted. "They are too different... Lestat would best him somehow, and he said he would give me the answer for some reason."
"He knows how I can kill John and still have you for the rest of my life," Edward explained, squeezing her hands.
"We need him," Edward snapped, though not at Hannah. He forced himself to not let Lestat transfer anything to his mind. His breathing started to become regular and he tried to smile at her. "It's okay," Edward sighed. "I'm fine... well, I'd be better if you were holding me."
"It's Lestat," Edward managed, putting his head back now and gasping. "He's... he's got someone else. I can hear his thoughts... and I didn't even try! It hurts, and the b.astard is doing it to me on purpose!"
"Let's not tease him, dear," Edward smiled, and then it faded. "Wait..." he began, clutching the side of his head. He cried out suddenly, putting his head between his knees once more.
"Maybe Jinx can calm him, yes?" Edward laughed, hoping the man was listening now.
"Really?" Edward asked. "That's a good thing. Do you think Van Helsing has been listening to us or what?"
OOC: FREAK!!! :guns3: BIC: "Well, in a way, yes," Edward laughed. "But what I mean is... you can use that phrase as much as you'd like; it makes me very happy, but... I can't really say anything back right now, and I don't want you to kill me for that."
"Good," Edward replied. "Will you kill me if I tell you I can't really reply properly to that yet?"
Edward smiled, running a hand through her curls. "You were telling me how much you loved me and that you never want to go anywhere without me again," he spoke, leaving his lips half an inch from her own. Despite the carriage bumping along the badly paved path, he held himself and Hannah surprisingly steady.
"I'm so sorry, Hannah," Edward started suddenly, unable to stop himself. "I wasn't thinking and all I wanted was the information and how much I thought it could help you..." He faded off, putting his hands on either side of her face quickly and kissing her several times. "I was going to tell you, but so much else had happened with Elijah and John... and then Lestat came in, and I couldn't stop him. I'm sorry..."
"Yes," Edward confirmed. "I... well... Charlotte told me, you see..." he finished awkwardly. "And it was in one of the books in Rome's library."
Edward shook his head, rubbing her cold fingers between his palms. "No, dear, that's not what I meant. A werewolf," he whispered against her ear, not wanting Van Helsing to hear yet. "The venom is what kills him."
"Thank you," Edward smiled. "It should be better by morning. Did..." he began uncertainly, taking her hand from his face and holding it between his instead, "... did you hear what I said about Dracula? Or, did you understand?"
"Much better," Edward sighed. "Does it look bad? Lestat's stopping it from healing," he asked, gesturing to his cheekbone.
Edward grinned. "That's up to you, dear. I don't think I'd object to anything that involved you helping me."
Edward nodded. "What's worse is I can't even see it? It just feels awful."
