Brianne could have fought past the glamours, could have chased Masque down, but it was pointless. She didn't have Hendrik with her, and Masque had already slaughtered his victim; it was too late for the girl. She shut her eyes, and waited for the lights to pass before opening them, and turning on Roxanne. "Damn you." She said, whipping her stele through the air angrily as she approached the other Nephilim. "Damn you for interfering, damn you for scaring him off and gods all damn you for letting him get away." She said the words quietly, without yelling, but the anger behind them was clear. Half of her was tempted to just leave Roxanne there and go back for Hendrik, but that would just the other girl to involve herself in some later date. She sighed, putting her stele away as she rubbed her neck, the strands of her hair cascading over her fingers. "Come with me. Now. I'm going to take you back to write up a report and send it to the Clave. You can explain why Masque's blood isn't staining the cement at my feet right now." She paused as she headed back up the stairs. "And if you think of avoiding it, I'll simply report you. Then you can have every Shadowhunter in New York and beyond hunting you to bring you back to the Clave." She continued up the stairs, up to Hendrik. "He's gone." She muttered, disappointment clear on her face. "Escaped. I have to return to the Institute with Roxanne, but you can try to pick up a trail, if you want." She looked around for Ash, and resisted the urge to try to find him. "If you do, try to enlist Ash. We're going to need more help with this one." Morrigan crouched underneath the maple tree, letting the green leaves touch her finger tips, brush against her skin. The woods were still tonight, too still. She knelt down and brushed aside some of the debris to reveal a shallow puddle of water. "Why?" She asked softly, letting the very tips of her fingers touch the cold liquid, making the surface ripple. When the ripples had cleared, they revealed a most gruesome sight. Morrigan pressed a hand to her mouth to stifle a gasp, before letting the image fade. Another of her kind, gone. No wonder everything was so silent; so shocked. She should go back to the Court, report to the Seelie Queen, who undoubtedly already knew, but instead she sat down, wrapping her arms around her knees with her bare feet peeking from under her dress. No doubt the Nephilim would be involved. Downworlders killing each other wasn't all that strange, or uncommon, but a fairy being killed was. Usually it was the body of a werewolf or a vampire, from their blood feud, or that of a demon, slaughtered by its intended victim. One of the fey.....it wasn't right. Something more was amiss. But what? She dared not go to the Shadowhunters. Unless....perhaps she should, to claim the body of their brethren. Decided, Morrigan got to her feet, pressing her fingers to her lips before touching them to the space above her heart. "Blessed peace, sister." She murmured, before setting off, towards the place where she had seen the remains of the body.
You both already know, but accepted. Interesting........it'll be fun to have you along, I think.
Kara yelled with triumph, the yell turning into a yelp as the poison burned into her leg. Something Doe Eyes had done was making her feel better though, the flower that seemed to radiate with a glow. A healthy glow. She struck again with her swords at Giant Spider #3, followed up with an Arcane Bolt to really make it hurt, happy now that she felt she had gotten some of her vengeance. Laurentius had joined her side in the battle, surprisingly. She didn't know that Hawk felt that way. Or at least, a way about her. She thought about commenting on this, but decided to keep the good will between them a little while longer. It was then that Conrad took a beast of an attack from the spiders. Kara hesitated, unsure. She wasn't the type who should go running into danger, and rather skirt it from behind. But she couldn't do that, could she? Shortsword strike: 4 AP Arcane Bolt: 5 AP Total: 9 AP "Conrad!" Tessa called out next. Her concern for Kara was alleviated, momentarily. The girl seemed to be surviving, attacking the spider with vengeance in her eyes. But Conrad had been left undefended, and had paid the price. Tessa stood, the wind tugging on her hair as she cast Stoneskin on Conrad, giving him a little extra armor until he could back up to the radius of her flower. Hopefully her cry would alert others to his peril. Stoneskin: 5 AP Total: 5 AP
"Good luck, Carrak." Bryce nodded to Alanna, before pulling up his hood and striding off down the street. His birds had told him of a very interesting person, but the time to get to his person was limited. Similar to the one he wished to capture near the fountain. Well, that's why he was going after a second one. Well, this mage had been the first target, and the woman had just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. It didn't have to mean misfortune for her, but that would be her choice. The streets were nearly empty this time of night as he made his way towards the intended target. It made it easier to navigate, and hopefully easier to catch. He heard the sounds of battle long before he reached the site of his intended plan. The mage was not alone. Two of them were doing battle. One raised skeletons from the ground, while another fought them. Bryce turned and leapt onto a nearby roof, clambering up until he could peer over the edge, and watch without getting in the way. There was a time and a place to strike, and Bryce was not desperate enough to get in the middle of a magic battle. Teliana looked up at the girl. "Ah, it's not my first time. Just been many years. I'm far more used to Novigrad then I am to Oxenfurt." She looked back down at the fountain. "It is rather pretty, isn't it? I was just marveling at the plumbing. Living in a small town for so long makes you forget such things like this exist. But they do. The world goes on even as we fade from existence." She hesitated. It wasn't a particularly good idea to mention Vyle, but he was bound to come back at some point. And startling people was no way to get about this city safely. They needed to keep a low profile, look for Solomon. "Um, I think my companion is more familiar with this place then I am. I'm simply waiting for him to return from his business." Another pause. "Do you live here?" She withdrew her hands and folded them in her lap, more of an effort to warm herself in the cold night air then to appear demure. Veera nodded to herself. "I didn't expect to meet the leader of the dopplers himself, but here he was. I think he was on his way to meet someone. He's already gathering support, stirring up people, getting them weapons. He wouldn't have proposed such a plan if he wasn't ready. So we need to be too." She sighed. "We have another day. We should both meditate, regain some of our strength. Then we can go find out if the others have come to aid us." If Veceslav has come to aid us. "We will do the best we can, but our hands are in the fates of the gods now." Tessa nodded, and offered Seth a smile. "I'm getting better." She spoke slowly, carefully moving her lips in order to keep from chattering. "It was a stupid idea. But I wanted to survive. I wanted to show that I could keep myself alive too. And find Bryce without being babysat. I can take care of myself too." She said before finishing the rest of the juice before setting the cup down. "He can't be a bad witcher if he saved me. He could have left me to drown. And he didn't. We should be nice to him too."
Zack smiled down at her. "That's not all bad then, is it?" He sat up to grab the until now forgotten wine, when the hairs on the back of his neck stood up. And his instincts hadn't been wrong yet. He sat up straight, looking around. Nothing in the air....and he couldn't see anything in the surrounding area either. Perhaps it was just the drink. Perhaps he was just jumpy. Then a twig snapped. "Stay here." Zack whispered, untangling himself and getting to his feet. He was drunk, yes, but his abilities were still there. He crept to the edge, and looked down. And his jaw dropped. It seemed something else had been busy while him and Adelina focused on each other. Or rather, several somethings. "Gods protect us." he whispered before backing away from the edge, rubbing his jaw with his hand. They were safe up here, but they had to leave, eventually. And four titans were not just going to disappear. Kala gasped with delight as Galadorn galloped off. This was everything she could have dreamed for, and more. Much more. Then, as his 3D maneuvering gear began to whir, she squeezed around his middle tighter with her legs, while keeping her arms wrapped around his waist as he further proved his godliness by landing on the titan, skidding on its shoulder after landing several blows. The creature grabbed for him, and he leapt off again, landing another blow. "Let's kill this thing." She couldn't agree more. And she didn't think she couldn't have found a better battle mate. "I agree" she whispered before letting go, soaring through the air and dodging past the titan's hand before pulling out her blades, landing on its arm and running up the side. It swiped at her, and she let herself run off the side of its bicep, her maneuvering gear attacking to its back as she swung around, using gravity and physic's force to cut deeply into the thing's back, hoping to at least paralyze it momentarily.
Bryce smiled. "It's Bryce. Just Bryce. And the mage you're looking for.....I don't know her name. But she's wearing simple clothes, with long hair, and she's currently sitting in the town center, by the fountain. A hard woman to miss. But if you catch her, then we shall both get the pleasure of learning her name." Bryce bowed to both of them, trying to put a little grateful tone in the gesture. "I appreciate this greatly, and it won't be soon forgotten. Shall we meet back here say, before dawn? I have another that I must go find. They are valuable in a different way but...." here the grin widened. "Gold is gold."
Kai's House Tessa remained in the corner of the elevator, her eyes wide as she struggled to take in all the information. And the people. There a lot of people. Better to stay apart and analyze everyone. With her still high brain.....yeah maybe not the best plan. But what with her recent transformation, she felt the need to find someplace secret to hide, and figure out her new...talents. And maybe meet the other side of her soul. She had to have another one, right? It seemed like that's what happened with the other girl. Hm...all this thought was making her head hurt. And so she went back to people watching, and waiting.
Veera sighed and sat down on the empty chair. "We're meeting them in battle. Two days." She said to Aaron, her heart heavy. "We're going to need more allies. Tomorrow, we'll scout the city and see if anyone answered my call. I'm sure Veceslav will be here. I'd prefer not to meet with him, but..." She resisted the urge to bang her head against the door. "But we're going to need his help." She finished through gritted teeth. If he didn't execute her on sight for disobeying him. Ah, let him try. She put her fate in the hands of the gods now. "I'm sorry to impose on you, Master Raymond.' She told the human. "It seems we may have brought trouble to your doorstep." Teliana turned to yell at Vyle, but he was gone. Can't stop him from eating, I suppose. It is in his nature. That didn't stop her from hoping his victim died quickly, and without pain. Whoever they were. She brushed the hair from her face and sat down on the rim of a nearby fountain to wait, dragging her fingers through the cold water. It wasn't her favorite element, but she became fascinated by the way the water continually moved through the pipes, keeping it from freezing, even in the cold. We must have entered in the town center. She mused to herself, her breath coming out in small puffs of white clouds. Hopefully Vyle wouldn't be too much longer, or she would find somewhere warmer, and preferably next to a fire. Tessa grabbed the offered drink from Veceslav and slowly sipped, her clenched hands cramping around the cup. She surreptitiously glanced at Seth, wondering how he would answer the man's questions. It had taken her this long to realize her rescuer was a witcher, a fact that made Seth very nervous. Did he know this one? Or had he heard of him? He couldn't be a bad man if he had saved her. Nevertheless, she would wait one more post before trying to speak again. Zack wandered the streets, providing a filler post. He wished to find Bryce soon, or Tessa, but was having no luck. Luckily, the cold of the evening seemed to have driven most of the humans inside, leaving very little people to avoid outside. He would head towards the town center soon, and try to regroup his thoughts. Bryce had turned to respond to the woman and man, and halted momentarily in his stride. The man disappeared, in front of his eyes. Bryce turned and quickened his step, mind whirling. Who could disappear but a mage? But why would a mage leave a girl like that? But the girl had been the first through the portal. So two mages? No, they wouldn't have needed to portal together. So a mage and....vampire? No, they didn't look so human. Unless, the mage was a friend, and had fashioned a glamour. A woman after his own heart, it seemed. Someone spoke out to him, and Bryce lowered his hood, turning slightly to look at the man who called him out. He narrowed his eyes at the man, then the woman, trying to gauge who they were. More importantly, who they thought he was. "Indeed." was his only reply, though he walked closer. "You're a mage." He addressed the girl. He had seen enough of them, he could tell by the...scent, was probably the closest word. Or a sense, really. Some of them, the magic just rolled off. "And you.." at this, Bryce met the man's eyes, and grinned. The gods are fortuitous indeed. "It seems we have both been touched with luck and fortune." Bryce smiled. "Would it be too much of an assumption, upon meeting a brother such as yourself, to ask a favor?" He looked over his shoulder, and stepped slightly closer still, to avoid being heard. "I have a mage. Unfortunately, she is not my friend. Not even an acquaintance, really. But I have need of...well, I need her for information. And I need her quickly. Since you have such a devoted..." Bryce glanced at Alanna, "friend, I would be considered the luckiest man," here he smiled at the inside joke, "alive." "I would need her as quickly as possible, you see. I have a deadline for how much value she will have to me. And well....she has made friends with a powerful being. I can't tell you what the being is, exactly, but I would be wary. It is for this reason I need help. Are you willing?" Just in case there was any doubt, he decided to sweeten the pot. "The gold I get for her information can be split between us. I'm not so foolish as to think any help comes for free."
Brianne opened her mouth to reply to Ash, something witty on the tip of her tongue, when the atmosphere was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Ash reacted almost instantly, pushing past her and towards an exist. She desperately hoped he meant to watch, and not escape himself, before turning and pushing through the throng of frightened people herself, towards Hendrik. "This makes it difficult!" She yelled over the sound of screaming Downworlders. "I think we should split up! You take the exit on the right side, I'll head for the back!" She didn't wait for him to respond before darting towards the back stairwell that led to a somewhat basement-like room with a door. A door that would take him outside without anyone the wiser. Brianne liked Hendrik, really. He had taught her useful things, and was helping her now. But liking him wasn't enough to overcome the difference that lay between them. While he was her senior, she surpassed it by holding more authority. It wasn't fair, and she knew it. Hendrik should have become head of the Institute in her place. But it wasn't her place to question the Clave, or the assignments they gave. She jumped past the stairs, landing solidly on her feet before turning the corner..and freezing in her tracks. Was it him? Who else would be carrying...the body of a fairy? Brianne had a tough stomach, and such things didn't cause her nausea like they used to...but that didn't curb the disgust. Fairies were beautiful, and far beyond a cunning that could be dealt with, but that girl, she hadn't deserved this. And because Brianne had been too slow, someone else had paid the price. "Masque!" She yelled, drawing her stele and sweeping one foot behind her, face determined. "Stand and pay for your crimes!" ****, should have not split up. She had confidence, but she wasn't stupid. If Masque did decide to find courage, and fight her, it would be tough. And she could only Mark one more rune.
Veera hugged Flame back, touched by the gesture. She hadn't really realized that anyone would be glad she wasn't dead. Generals didn't care about their soldiers, they only sent more to die in their place. Replaceable, that was the word. Veera had always thought she was replaceable. But here was Flame, telling her she was glad she was okay, telling her to rest more. I can rest when I'm dead. Veera thought to herself, though she didn't dare say it to Flame, since that had been so very nearly the case. Instead, she nodded, and waited until the others left before going down an alleyway. She was going to find herself some gear, and if she had to take it off the bodies, so be it. It wasn't like they needed it anymore. He blinked. "You're not supposed to cry, you know.' He said in a teasing tone, though part of him was actually worried if he was messing up somehow, and she was too nice to say so. "Tears always seem to happen around good and bad things, so you never know what's good or what's bad." He himself had only cried once, when his father had gone. He supposed, if Tessa or Adelina died, he could cry then too. But he really didn't want to think about something like that, especially now. "Don't cry." He murmured, gently brushing the tears from her face. Tessa looked up at Gale, and felt a smile spread across her face. "Yeah, but I'm gonna stick close to you, if that's okay. I don't want this mission to be my first and last." She tried to joke, wiping the remaining tears away. Okay, so that was a little macabre, but under the circumstances, it was probably hopefully appropriate. She took a deep breath to steady herself, and shut her eyes. Focus. Just like Zack taught you. Focus. Her brain was still a little shaken from Changing, from finding the king, and from hugging a legend, but Zack's trick worked every time. She opened her eyes, her face set into a determined expression. "Let's go." She told Gale, before jumping into the air, and sending her maneuvering gear into action. Time to earn her swords. Kala had stepped back, bowing her head deferentially at Flame's words. However, when the centaur, Galadorn, spoke, it wasn't rejecting her proposal...he was...accepting it? Kala's eyes light up as she looked up at the centaur, for all the world looking like a star struck five year old girl. Holy ****ing shitballs of ****ing hell. The swearing was so extreme even her mind blanked it out for her. She carefully hoisted herself onto the centaur's back, wrapping her arms tentatively around his waist. Wait, Kala didn't do anything tentative. But here she was, being shy. Shit. "You. Are. A god." She whispered deferentially, pressing her face into his back, where the mixture of horse hair and human skin was a little mind blowing. Best. Day. Ever.
Veera snarled at the girl and yanked her arm free. The music was calming, yes, but she had two minds to calm. "Get your hands off me." she growled, clenching her hands before narrowing her eyes at Ashleigh. "Fall back? This girl killed someone with her touch. We need to take her back and study her. Figure her out!" Just not retreat like so many dogs with their tails tucked between their legs. She might lose the physical desire to fight, but the psychological will would never leave her. It made her who she was. "Uh, he's not dead." Kala interjected, swaying back in forth in time to the tranquil spell. It had been so long since she had heard music. She giggled as Timothy dumped the snobby girl off her horse, then reached out to take his hand. She should be scared, and running by now, but she felt so calm. It was kind of nice. But her mind whispered that it could be dangerous too. Especially since the scary girl started talking about studying her. That was a big no no. "Let's go....this way!" Kala exclaimed, and turned around, bolting in an easterly direction. She, or her creator, had no idea what lay here. But it seemed like a good way to go.
Kara was fully prepared to throw out a witty line when the spiders had finally been seen. She was opening her mouth, in fact, when Shyra started exclaiming. Well, okay, let the woman have her moment, she was their leader after all. Or...maybe troop leader was a better description. Like the band of little girls that went door to door, selling their cookies in order to use the money for all manner of dogoodery. It was unfortunate that at this moment, Kara decided to imagine everyone, including Conrad and Ren, in the little dresses the girls wore. This distracted her enough that when the spiders attack, she was far from ready. A gasp passed her lips as the spider's mandibles bit down on her leg. She managed to shake it off, but by the hellish burning that stemmed from the wound, she was in big trouble. Kara's mind immediately went blank, her eyes narrowed, and her hands went to the hilts of her seraph blades. She drew them in a criss cross fashion, hissing with anger and pain as the burning began to crawl up her leg. "Suck on this." She growled, slashing at the spider who had attacked her before following it up with an Arcane Bolt, because she was pisssed. And might die, given that she wasn't sure anyone was carrying antivenom on their person. Tessa stepped back from the spiders, her heart in her mouth as Conrad was attacked. The amount of relief that she felt was both wonderful and a little bit alarming when he parried the attack. But her alarm turned to a tangled mixture of fear and horror as Kara didn't manage to do the same. Tessa had seen the poison, and she knew that Kara wouldn't have much time. "Kara!" She called out, kneeling to the ground and pressing her palms against the earth. "Help me." She whispered, casting Vitality Tulip. Despite the strangeness of the girl, dying by poison was a slow one, and awful to watch. At the very least, she could keep her alive until they found an antidote. Hopefully. Wow, this girl was really into the sun. Bryce nodded along with her in an enthusiastic manner, happy that he had managed to strike up a conversation with someone who wasn't a murderer or insane lunatic, or who didn't exist. Well, happy until she asked him where he was from. "Oh. uh. I was stationed at a garrison for a while. Fighting. Being a soldier. Using this.' He hefted his weapon (which had been strangely omitted from the Character Sheet), in response to Iris. "Being a man kind of takes it out of you, after a while, you know? Well, I mean, you wouldn't know, because you're beautiful and a girl, but it must be hard to do that too, right?" He was stumbling again. Couldn't the monsters just come and give him something to murder?
I mean, I am quite godly....but hell yeah I still want to do this.
Brianne took the offered seat, crossing her arms over her chest. Her eyes flicked to the shadow that left, but that was the only indication she had seen anything at all. Well, until she decided to comment. "I see you've made good use of your friend's gratitude." She said, her tone blank. In truth, she didn't approve. But she was Nephilim, and Ash....Ash was a Downworlder. Something he didn't fail to remind her of now. "Trust me, if I was interested in your affairs, I would have asked. The only reason I'm here is that it's your duty to report any information on this Masque. He is one of your own, and he needs to be apprehended. He is killing humans, do you understand what this means? If the Council has sanctioned his capture, surely that can tell you how badly he needs to be stopped." She wished badly she could make Ash feel strongly about something, anything. But it was hard to make someone who had seen empires rise and fall feel anything then meager interest in the doings of mortals. "The only lead I have is what the Council gave me. A fairy reported seeing Masque enter here, not two hours ago. I can only assume he's picking out his next victim." She stood, restless. "Have your....friend, join me, then, once he returns. I see no point in becoming your entertainment until your important meeting." She turned to exit the private area, her hands on the silken red curtains once more. "It's a shame, you know. I expected more from you."
Spoiler Canary was glad, so very glad to be off the motorcycle she couldn't control. "Hi." She said, putting more strength into her voice in order to keep him from worrying. Like mentor, like student. "Oh...thank you!" She said, wrapping the kid in a one armed hug and wincing as the movement strained her injuries. "I didn't honestly think I'd see it again." She clenched her fingers around it tightly, before following Arsenal's gaze. There appeared to be a figure, a woman going by that outfit, fighting the Blue Beetle. Sara squared her shoulders, before rolling her eyes. "I can't imagine why you would want to help her-" She began to retort, just as a distressed sound came from the fight. Okay, maybe the woman did need help. Sara's injuries would need attention, in due time, but they could wait. And the pain? Well she had handled worse before. "Let's go." She told Arsenal, before running towards the fight. Catwoman's eyes widened as the creature somehow sensed her plans, and intercepted them. She hurtled towards the enemy, before it fired a laser. Which would impale her. Well this was not working out to her best interest. Selina grabbed her grappling hook and anchored it to the nearest item, a light pole. She twisted through the air, the laser cutting her side just before she smacked into the concrete ground, eliciting a cry as her body tried to adjust to the sudden trauma. "That hurt." She complained as she picked herself up, pressing a hand to the burning injury on her side. "Didn't your mother ever teach you it's rude to hit a lady?" The grappling hook wound itself back, and she curled her whip up for a moment, before attacking Blue Beetle again, this time running forward and sliding in from the ground, using her whip to pull her in closer at a faster rate with a kick aimed for his....male parts. Good thing she hadn't been raised as a lady. "That will be satisfactory." Talia replied to the man in clipped tones. "But I think it is the coward's way to let soldiers fight without their leader at their side." She tapped her hands on her hip, the other resting just above her ever present sword. "Perhaps I will join them. When the time is right. You are not the only one who doesn't want my father to be displeased." She stared just over Ward's shoulder, considering her options. "I would assume the X-Men are going to try to sway your successful imitation of the Wolverine to their side. Is this a concern?" She hoped she didn't have to spell out what she really wanted to know. If X-23 was a risk. She was too valuable a subject to just let go, and as her father's right hand, Talia knew how to deal with risks. "It is imperative that both sides of the bargain are held. For your sake, and for other's." She didn't elaborate. It was above this man's importance, he had no need to know. There were many who had no need to know. And she would send herself to hell before she allowed her father's secret, her secret by inheritance, to escape. It had happened once, only once. But love was a weakness she would not be able to afford. Not anymore.
All for you Gabi "Show me how much you love me." Any other man who would have heard those words might have taken things way too far, way too fast. And Zack might have been one of those men, except he had been raised with Tessa. But that didn't mean he could completely resist, either. Gently wrapping his fingers in her silky hair, he pulled her closer and crushed his lips against hers, using the other arm to wrap around her waist and press her against him. She was soft, much softer then he was, and she smelled good. His other hand lowered to press against her waist, keeping her held against him as his kiss turned from passionate to just a little more tender. He didn't want to push things too far. Well, that was a lie, he really did, but not like this. Not when they were both drunk and broken hearted over loss. That didn't stop him from pushing her onto her back and following her down, never once breaking the kiss until he was hovering above her and could stare down at her face, caressing her cheek with the tips of his fingers. "Does that work?" He asked softly, his voice cracking a little.
Veera used her time outside to come up with a plan. She had called whatever witchers wanted to come. Now she had met exactly who she needed to kill. Her gut told her it was him. She would need more support, if she was to have any chance to get close to him in the coming battle. He wouldn't have proposed such a course of action if he wouldn't have been prepared. What distracted her, no, distressed, her the most, was that he carried a silver sword. A witcher sword. There was only two ways to get one. Be a witcher, or kill a witcher. For a moment, she felt true fear. Witchers could be killed, of course they had been. The life was never a long one, with an ending that most could die in their beds. No, it was a short and violent life. But to see a mere doppler with one of their weapons, to suspect what he was capable of...it was frightening. Aaron. He needs to know. And she would keep him as far from the man as possible. It had occured to her this could have been the doppler who hurt Tatiana, but she shrugged the thought away. He didn't have the same feel. He was bad, worse, perhaps, but it wasn't the same. With that, she started walking back to the hut. "S-s-s-s-Seth..." Tessa tried to speak between the chattering of her teeth, her hands shaking so violently she could have been mistaking for being the victim of seizures. "H-h.....s-s-saved..." She stopped trying after nearly biting her tongue off, and hoped he would get the message. It had been such a stupid idea, jumping into a river in the middle of winter. But she would gladly take her fate now, over that if she had stayed on that far bank. "t-t-thank." She whispered to the man, pressing her frozen face against her knees. It was only a small amount of relief, but it was something.
If you can find absolutely nothing, then I would give it up. Most scholarships have at least an announcement page where they showcase the students who have won for the semester, or the year. You could always ask your financial aid office if you really want to put effort in, they should keep tabs on scholarships that are inside and outside of the school.
Could be that their island is protected by a magical man known by only his first name who makes said island travel hundreds of miles every time unwanted intruders want to try to invade. That would make you stumble a little too.
Google it, and select the News tab. See what comes up. That helped me figure out my last university is getting sued for fraud.
