Sorry, I don't think that I have it for final mix.
I think it's a really cool theory, and it coincides with some of the art we've seen of Sora sitting on a thrown, and all the crown imagery across the games. I'm not sure if I'm outright ready to support it though. It's quite possible that Sora has the Kingdom Key because it is the broken half of the X-Blade that Ven was once a part of. If that's the case, I don't think Sora was chosen by anything divine, but just by circumstance: being a kind and powerful enough heart to accept Ven into himself. Being in possession of half of the X-Blade could explain why he was capable of closing the door along with Mickey in KH1. Though two things still bother me about it. One, Xehanort said that his previous method of creating the X-Blade was hasty, and thus it may not have ever had the power to unlock Kingdom Hearts in the first place. Two, the Kingdom Key's keychain is Mickey's logo, tying it to Disney Castle more than Kingdom Hearts. Mind you, we're going back more than ten years when it was first designed, and they couldn't necessarily account for the direction the series would take seven installments later. I don't really agree with your point on the lesser Nobodies. They absolutely do follow the Organization's orders, or at least there is no recorded instance where they disobey. It's the Heartless that are more finicky about who they go with. The dusks were sent in to retrieve Roxas because the Organization told them to (which is why they stole photographs: not being able to tell the difference between them and the real Roxas). The plan was to retrieve Roxas, but after they saw they weren't making any progress, they ordered Axel to kill him on the sixth day ("I've been given these icky orders to destroy you, if you refuse to come back with me"), preferring that over having Sora return and oppose them. So yes, they definitely wanted him back, and that's more than likely why the Dusks spoke to him. I'm not saying you're definitely wrong, but in this case, the simplest answer is probably the right one. Having Sora ascend to a godlike status is a pretty cool idea, and would be a totally unexpected direction for the series. But by the same token I don't think it would happen exactly that way. I don't think Kingdom Hearts necessarily chose him; his past simply qualified him for the position, having accepted half of the X-Blade (fake or otherwise) into his heart. It goes a little against the games' motif if he was chosen arbitrarily by a divine power, instead of actually having earned it by proving the strength of his heart, and shaped his own fate.
I'm not saying that he's extremely-powerful, just good at creating illusions. We already saw him demonstrate his ability to have the appearance and voice of Xehanort's Heartless inside Castle Oblivion. In the Kingdom Hearts universe, the distinction between the data world and real world is essentially nonexistent. In KH2, DiZ tells Riku to delete the money pouch because it should be kept out of the real world. Mickey brings it to Sora, along with the blue orb from the struggle trophy, causing there to be two of those existing simultaneously in the real Twilight Town. Point is, he could probably create Xehanort's Guardian (whether it's a powerful version or a cheap imitation is unclear) should the need arise. But we're kind of getting off topic. I don't actually think he did this (for reasons I explained earlier). I just don't think it's a stretch to say that he could.
It's never stated outright, but I'm pretty sure that the real Ansem is the one following him through out the castle. It wouldn't make sense for Ansem the Wise to go that far to push him towards darkness, when he later asks him to choose. At one point (right after the fight with Lexaeus), Riku says "a darkness this foul could only be [Ansem]". But then when DiZ appears disguised as Ansem, he sees through it; saying that his scent is different. "It's not darkness: it's something else. I finally understand. You're the one who guided me when it started. You came to me pretending to be Ansem. You gave me the card, to make me face the darkness". He only mentions that first encounter in the void (ignoring all the other encounters, which were with Xehanort's Heartless), and says he wanted him to "face the darkness": not give in to it. So DiZ only appears those two times, while Xehanort's Heartless was there every other time including the final battle. Like I said, there's no confirmation on this that I know of, but it makes sense. Regardless, when DiZ comes to Riku as Ansem, it's an illusion. In Kingdom Hearts 2, he made a replica of an entire town out of data, including all of its inhabitants. Who's to say he couldn't copy Xehanort's Guardian too?
I don't think Riku ever fought with Ansem the Wise. He appeared in the beginning to wake Riku up, and then in Twilight Town, where Riku noticed right away that his smell was different. I don't think the real Ansem would try to coax Riku into using the darkness: he's all about choices. The only one who uses the guardian outside of Xehanort and his Heartless form is Riku, and Xehanort's Heartless is still living on inside him, so he can call forth his power after he submits to it.
Ah, that's probably it. I rarely to never used that move, so I didn't make the connection. Though I thought it just made enemies too afraid to attack you: not make them turn on each other. It's possible that Terra's name was already thought up at that time, since he was in the secret ending, albeit in full armor, but I'd say you got it. Thanks, that's been bugging me for quite a while, haha!
I just found what I must have seen back then. http://asoue.proboards.com/thread/18792 I also remember seeing and being excited about those other moves listed, including Quake, which isn't there for some reason. Odd, it says that the "Terra" move was already in chain of memories, but I'm almost 100% certain that it never was. It's interesting seeing these rumors/unconfirmed information, though I'm still a little curious how it started.
I'm not 100% sure the move was called Terra: I could have misread it. But that's what I remember, and I probably read it multiple times, since I was so excited about any new information on Kingdom Hearts 2. It didn't make any sense back then, but now it kind of does. Maybe Terra was floated as a potential party member back then, and you could do a team attack where you take control of Heartless? And then it was misinterpreted or mistranslated as a move name, instead of a character name?
*Spoilers for all games below* I've seen this before, and I do actually agree with it. Not that it's Terra, but his darkness. There were multiple battles with Xehanort before the one with Aqua, and yet you don't see that Guardian Heartless until Xehanort takes over Terra's body, which leads me to believe it's connected to his "new vessel". Master Xehanort gained control over Terra's body by feeding his darkness. He controls Terra's body via his darkness (MX: "Darkness rules your heart. It gives me control."), and as a result, Terra's darkness became like a slave to him (protecting him and helping him in battle), even though his individual will remained. At the beginning of Birth by Sleep, Eraqus warns Aqua that Terra's darkness "...runs very deep". I think the Guardian is the embodiment of his darkness. When Xehanort became a heartless, Terra's darkness went along with it, and since they shared a body, there was only one nobody produced. I noticed something in that scene that wasn't mentioned in the video. Ansem's Guardian reaches out as if he's summoning a keyblade, and then Riku holds up his in the same way. It's reminiscent of the "passing of the power" ceremony. If you remember, the reason Terra passed the keyblade down to Riku was because he said he wanted to become strong "to protect the things that matter. You know, like my friends." In this moment, when Ansem and his Guardian fade away, he remembers his answer, which is why he says "strength to protect what matters." It's not entirely clear if Riku made the connection that this could be Terra (in some form), but it's quite possible, since right before the fight, he mentions how Ansem reminds him of Terra (not by name, of course). That, combined with how sad he looks after defeating Ansem, I'd say it's likely. It is just a theory, but it's pretty air-tight. Until it's proven wrong, I'll stick with it. I think it's a really cool idea, and adds a chilling narrative layer over the whole series; thinking back to the original fight with him in Kingdom Hearts 1. I always wondered why Ansem had that Guardian, if he was so strong on his own. This explanation is much better than just because he controls the heartless.
So this is going back quite a ways (as many as 10 years), but I was recently recalling some of the old rumors I heard about Kingdom Hearts 2 before its release. Back when there was little to no beta-footage of the game. I think I saw it on ansemreport(.com/net?), which has mostly ceased to exist, except for an old forum, which may or may not be related to the original site (http://ansemreport.proboards.com/index.cgi). Anyway, I remember a rumor about a gameplay mechanic, or special move called "Terra", where you press triangle and would gain control of a Heartless that was attacking you, and use it in battle. I distinctly remember this because it sounded really cool, though I thought it was a weird name for a move that controlled Heartless. This could have been an early stage of the Anti-Form drive ability, but of course I can't help but think of Birth by Sleep, where Terra is a character who struggles with and controls darkness. It seems like too much of a coincidence to just be fan rumor. So does anyone remember this too, or have any idea where this "rumor" came from? Is it possible this "Terra" (either a move, or a character) was originally going to be a part of KH2, but they decided to use it in Birth by Sleep instead?
I would love to see commands integrated into KH3 in some way. I definitely prefer it over the basic magic system. Maybe instead of having the shortcut menu, holding L1 would let you scroll through your command deck. Shotlock is also one of my favorite features, though having a bar exclusively for that seems like a waste of screen space, so it could also be used for something else. I also dig BBS's combo/finisher system and command styles (BBS definitely has my favorite combat system out of any game in the series). The only thing I would tweak is making it optional to switch into a command style instead of being automatic, which can mess you up for certain fights. Having a triangle prompt could easily solve that. I also want to see some form of flowmotion in the game, but not how it was used in 3D. While it thankfully wasn't overpowered in combat, it did make platforming pretty trivial. To counteract this, they made areas super big, but that made it easier to get lost (especially since flowmotion moves so fast and the camera can freak out at times), and made it more difficult to admire the scenery; the game was beautiful, but some of it was overwhelming so I couldn't soak it all in. I want parkour elements that make movement more fun, but not in a way that feels like you're cheating by just hammering against a wall to jump to the top of an area. Some advanced wall-running and jumping stuff could be cool. Sucker Punch makes games with great parkour elements (Sly Cooper and inFamous). I'd like to see that level of control (of course modified so it fits in with KH's style and feel) in a Kingdom Hearts game. I would want a linear storyline for KH3, so not have multiple characters in the way that BBS or CoM did. I did not like the 3D's drop system either (made me feel rushed), but maybe be able to switch between playable characters in your party, or play different segments with different characters. Reaction commands, command slots, drive forms/command styles, limits, shotlock, flowmotion (I could honestly do without summoning since I rarely use it, but that's fine too) are all great features. Adding a new feature is also important though. Not sure what it would be exactly, but you've got a lot of keyblade wielders to work with now. Having special team-up attacks, or keyblade armor or glider powers would be pretty rad. I hope they don't just revert back to the basic KH 1 and 2 four menu system, but try to incorporate other things with it. They came up with a lot of great battle systems over the past 7 games (the CoM card system wasn't perfect but I still enjoyed it, and it was the precursor to command slots, so a necessary step). Now I think it's time to take the best of everything and perfect it.
You're saying those two meshes aren't attached? I found a video that tells you how to do what I said in 3DS Max:...
I've never heard of a model being split between front and back. If the front and back seem to match up, you should be able to combine the two...
? Not sure what you mean.
Hey man, just draw up some of your own. They don't have to be detailed; just a guideline to help you out. The real magic happens in 3D.
lololol hey how's it going?
Hey! Just really busy. My semester ends next week, and I have to finish up a bunch of work. What's up with you?
Well yes, but I'm really way too busy. I need to finish four of my own characters for school in the next few weeks. Just follow my advice that I...
Would he have any reason to brush you off? Did you get into any fight? It's better not to assume the worst in people if not.
Why do you need, or want to contact them?
