The groups continued on their way to... well... essentially the same place. But because of the distance between the two groups, one was going to be there before the other no matter what happened. As a result, it may seem rather arbitrary that when the gold team (graveyard group) ended up getting to the town, a line of heartless (mostly shadows) appeared, blocking the way halfway down the path inside the town. The darkness was still looming over the town like nothing was necessarily fixed here like the graveyard seemed to have been. After a moment of pause as the heartless swayed, a portal appeared from the middle of the group before it disappeared, showing a robed Ria appear, who gave a small salute as they said, "There's the rest of ya. I was wondering when you'd show up." Ria walked only a bit forward before putting their hands on their hips as they said, "Honestly I felt like the rest of your group seemed to be a little lacking but you guys sure made some progress... unfortunately the other.... three, are falling behind." Ria was silent for a moment before saying, "Aw man, did I spoil the surprise. You guys are probably wondering "three? five people went this way"... well." Ria held their hands out for a moment before two keyblades appeared. One was Xen's, and one was Chloe's. He held them out for a moment, waiting for a reaction from the group. Then she realized they probably didn't recognize it so they sighed and explained further lifting their right hand, "Xen." then they lifted their right hand, "Chloe." and then they let the keyblades disappear before making a motion with their hands and made a noise, similar to that of slicing off a head. Trying to say they were dead without saying it exactly. Ria sighed and said, "I could spare you guys and you could all be off on your merry way. I'll give all of you back your memories, and you can leave this world... but you guys have something of mine. I want it. If you give me that, I'll let you go..." there was a pause as Ria waited for the answer, but soon Ria was shaking a little and suddenly blurted out, in a very familiar voice, it was Chloe's, screaming, "Don't listen to him!" before Ria blocked their mouth in panic. ---- The silver team (town group) followed Mora. Mora looked very worried as they approached, and as they reached the path, there was a trap door at the side of one of the mountains. It wasn't exactly hidden, it was purposefully made so people could spot it. When Mora lifted it, there was a ladder that went down into the dark. First, Mora had motioned in a sort of "after you" motion, but after there was no response. Mora took a breath and went down first. It was relatively hard to see at first, but the deeper down the shaft they went, soon light began to appear. And once they touched the ground, Mora motioned for them to look. The sanctuary was like an underground village on its own. Houses were made of stone, there were gardens that grew in the dark corners of the sanctuary, but... it was very quiet. Mora took a step forward towards the village and nervously said, "Hello? Anyone?!" her voice echoed throughout and she immediately looked worried she was too loud.
Take had never seen anything like this before. It was actually rather terrifying, seeing the fissures appear in the earth while he followed Choma... well... more out of panic than duty. He was trying to wrap his head around the environmental changes. And when Choma told him and Mika to keep their keyblades at the ready, Take summoned it out pretty much immediately. Keeping himself in a position where he could attack an opponent at any point. He followed Choma's patterns mainly because he assumed a fissure would not suddenly appear there right after Choma stepped. He was wrong a few times though, and tripped up to get to a safe space of land before he was able to hold his ground and take a deep breath before whispering, "This is a nightmare..." It reminded him of when the dragons could not be held back, and his home would fall apart. This only happened once or twice in his lifetime but every time it happened it was just as scarring. After all the time rebuilding, becoming comfortable... you never really could. And Takehiko had taken this whole experience as comfort so far. He wasn't worried his home would burn to the ground and the ground would shake as if the very world was screaming for help. Take would never make that mistake of becoming too comfortable again. As he continued following Choma, he kept occasionally looking back to make sure nothing happened to Mika and her cat. If anything happened he was ready to leap back, even if he was ill prepared to face what was attacking. That's just how he was, and probably how he'd always be. He just hoped everyone else was okay... if he believed in prayer, this would be a time he'd use it.
Kaida used Cure on Hikaru while I play unfitting music (will edit later, in class)
Kaida quickly looked over at how the other group was fairing and noticed the increasing in microbots and she shouted, "It's not too much, is it Kel?!" She was worried the poor guy was getting overworked. But before he could give his answer, Kaida decided to motion on towards Ignis with her keyblade as she stated, "Ignis!" before showering her with the cure spell and saluting, "Hopefully that's uh... makes up for the unexpected launch." Kaida used Cure on Ignis
Kaida decided that once it was known that blizzard was the weakness since she didn't have any blizzard abilities it was probably better than she threw in some support. She figured it would probably end up moot anyway, as was her luck with these things, but she went on and pointed her keyblade at Glen and simply stated, "Glen!" before casting a heal spell on him to help. No one seemed more damaged than him, so she hoped that was her best decision. Kaida used Cure on Glen
The girl looked at Alder when he addressed her and she took a moment to think before responding, "Well, my name is Mora... and... well, there's a chance you're talking about the old sanctuary? I was pretty sure it was unsafe for stay after... something happened. But that's the only thing that would be down that road..." Mora pondered for a bit and said, "Aevum... Aevum... it doesn't... sound familiar to me. I'm sorry. But maybe the answers you guys are looking for might be in the sanctuary? Maybe even my parents are there." Mora suddenly realized that would help out her dilemma. She looked at the group of three and said, "I can lead the way, if you'd like. I just don't know how much more dangerous the heartless may get."
Understanding her need to attack in this situation, Kaida couldn't exactly think of a decent strategy to go with. So she ran herself on over to Ignis and said, "Brace yourself." before she launched Ignis at the assault dragon. She knew Ignis would probably be fine.... everyone else she had launched at enemies before ended up just dandy. Kaida used Launch (with Ignis)
Aelis was super excited to finally be on the grounds of Beacon. After all the work it took her to get in here, she was finally reaping the fruits of her hard labor. Everything was so clean and... open. Compared to the forestry by her hometown which had a large wall around it anyway to keep anything from getting inside everything didn't feel as claustrophobic and it felt freer than anything. Aelis had originally been wandering around the campus aimlessly, interested in seeing what was around more than getting to her destination. She was curious. Very curious. And as long as she had that, she wasn't particularly worried about an agenda. But she still ended up leaving her papers in an inaccessible area of her bags for her liking right then. This was rather fortunate, as she just happened to walk on by two people, where one was asking about the location of the room. Aelis scooted on over towards the two, mainly because she didn't know if they actually would head that way. When she heard the wolfman say something about having graduated a few years ago, she slipped on closer and giggled saying, "You know, you look like a little baby if you're actually as old as you say you are. Such poofy non-defined cheeks. Now if you were our age you would be pretty good looking but now.... eh... have you tried contour?"
Reva was outside skinning one of her hunts when she noticed the group enter the town. This was not exactly a normal occurrence to have travelers unless they worked as merchants or suppliers, and the others in the village noticed. Staying away and side-eying them to make sure they were not up to trouble. But the village, the energy was just abysmal. Everyone looked just depressed or just distant from everyone. And not interested in figuring out who these new arrivals were. Reva was one of those not interested in exploring who these people could possibly be. She just continued to sit in front of her house working on the skinning. She only had until sundown to finish with this and she was not going to let a bunch of random travelers with minimal knowledge of the state of this village interrupt that. As she finished up with a large batch of meat, she began moving it over towards the lady across the way, avoiding giving the larger group of outsiders any form of eye contact.
Melus was not necessarily ignoring anyone. She was just up to a rather usual shtick of her's. The brunette almost always had her harp out, whether it was needed or not. And she gently strummed out chords and repeated patterns for the sake of having a comforting and familiar noise going. This dark realm... she was not exactly new to it, but that did not mean she was used to it. And she did her best to do so, but the anxieties of what could be there. Melus liked to keep positive, and it was a simple way to do just that. So when a new arrival-- well, not that much newer, the group itself was only recently assembled so no one was new meat-- made their way to the place. Melus continued on with her strumming, playing a little tune as she looked over and said, "Hello new person, a lot of us kind of introduced ourselves in the basic sense before you arrived. My name is Melus, what's yours?" She felt no reason to pry any more than that. This girl had an energy that she would rather be left alone and Melus was not going to start that fire herself when she would rather things be calm right then. But a name was rather helpful for if someone needed to be waved down. Melus looked over at the others, wondering if they were just ignoring the new girl outright, or if they were looking more forward to getting work done. Melus just thought it was an essential first step to know who you worked with.

The stranger was already gone before he could even ask questions that may come up. Especially over Thalassa. And when he had left by pointing the keyblade towards them, only to bait and switch afterwards. He was pretty much ready for a fight. Upon hearing this information, a part of him wanted to challenge this guy and take on the fight. But, he figured this information was too important and they should relay it back to the masters. Taking a moment to process the fact that there was a freeze mid-conversation with this girl, Take nodded and said, "I see, thank you for your time." he looked at Mika and walked a little past her as if towards the entrance and said, "We should quickly find Master Atmos and Choma. Or one if we can't find both. But with those clouds coming in, it looks like someone decided to bring a storm along, and I'd rather everyone be prepared for heartless, since I don't exactly think he's lying about that." Take had considered trying to tell the woman at the booth about it, but he didn't exactly have any authority and she probably wouldn't believe what he said anyway. He also didn't exactly know where they could hide. So as much as it hurt to leave civilians in the dark, finding his master and peers were a top priority to him. He just had no idea where to look. He ended his thoughts to Mika with, "I don't want any of us getting surprised and hurt when we can help it." and he began to ran out of the train station, hoping maybe he'd be able to run across his master, or Choma, in time.
this but swap charisma and wisdom
Take was listening intently, and noticed almost immediately something was wrong at the second time froze. Immediately sensing the potential danger that could be brought on by this, Take summoned out his keyblade and looked around for the source, but the source made themselves known fairly quick. Mika had come back with the cat and demanded questions, questions that Take was not sure they would exactly get answers to. The guardian shifted so he was a little in front of Mika and Nini, and gave the newcomer a look and said, "We are looking for someone who was looking for the Light Chaser. Regardless of whether or not they want to be found, we are looking for that master. That means if they found him, we're gonna find him. But I appreciate the warning if he isn't fond of visitors, I don't appreciate the freezing of time though. Makes it seem like you want to start trouble."
Gnome
As the heartless were finally defeated, the whispering became much more silent and as things settled down, memories began to slowly return to many of the players. Some people's were sharper than others. Some of the whispers manifested themselves in the memories. There was a moment of silence that lasted no time at all as the darkness seemed to move in reaction to someone, like a jolt of pain, before violently moving away. You're going to ruin everything. The darkness clears up relatively quickly after that, disappearing from the graveyard. Clearing it up so the sky could be seen, and the light could shine down. The fog was still there. But it was not as horribly dark as it was before. --- The girl was still there, she held her hands together and asked, "Are you three the only ones left? Maybe we should look for your... group... before that person does anything to them... I don't want to see your friends go missing too..."
The meeting was tonight, and it went very well! Thank you to everyone who could make it! I will be making a theme suggestion thread/box soon. But there is a voting here for the distance between community meetings. Responses would be great in terms of the poll. Thank you! -cstar
