I'm in the UK, GMT 0, and I stay up way to early in summer for my own good ... Another thing you mught be able to see in my screenshot is the fact that the left hand side of the active module as a bit of a dark line which only seems to be a few pixels wide :v.
While people are suggesting things ... I suggest Sabriel by Garth Nix. It's a really imaginative fantasy book which is the first in a series but can also be a stand-alone. It also links music with magic very creatively which I can relate to..
