Important powers,don't mean he has an important role.He isn't an important character since: 1)He is a summon,he is only useful for the gameplay NOT the plot. and 2)Such important information will only be told by a character that's REALLY close to sora.(mickey,goofy etc.) So even IF genie knew these information,it wouldn't be something important.
