Okay, these are listed in no particular order. 1- The Walking Dead - This game was just really amazing. JUST REALLY AMAZING. I mean, the combat scenes were, um, obnoxious. I get that it's a zombie game and you have to kill zombies, but it reminded me of how much of a game it was when you would die during those scenes and then, restart it. It really broke the flow of the narrative. But that is really it's only issue, because it really comes down to the choices you make, from dialogue to items, everything had a weight to it. And it was just emotionally draining with certain choices. It especially sucked though, when you misinterpret a dialogue choice, and it does the exact opposite of what you wanted to happen. It's a shame the 500 Days DLC didn't really have as much meat to it as it just focused on small scenes of different characters, but I'm curious to see where it takes me with Season 2. Really looking forward to it. But speaking of choices... 2- The Stanley Parable - I played the original mod and then I played the "HD" release, and holy moly, it is something. It satirizes choice in games, but also really brings to light the choices we make in every day life. Even the choices in the game all came out to scripted, limited endings, and it made me question if life is like that. Is it really just so limited? Limited by our decisions. Limited by our abilities. Is life part of a bigger picture or is it just a personal experience? The narrator is perfection and the whole game is just really well done. I really can't wait to see if Galactic Cafe makes more games. 3 - Borderlands 2 - I really really liked the humor in this game. It was definitely a step up from the original Borderlands, so much so, it made the original seem better than it actually was. The guns, the co-op, the story, the dialogue. I just really like this game. It's fun to use all the different abilities and having different classes keeps it fresh and exciting. Although I do miss having alien guns like in the first one. damn those were interesting. 4 - Journey - Not really sure what to say about this game that hasn't already been said. It's beautiful from start to finish.
