Okay so like I said, I've only read the first book and like a smidgen of the second one, but they are the furthest thing from Twilight. They're closer to Harry Potter styles of YA than any paranormal romance. That said, it's not much like Harry Potter. And it's got Greek Mythology which is great. <3

Also Percy is a sarcastic little sh*t and it's great. The books are all first person, so you get a lot of what's in his head. And chapter titles that are things like "We Hail The Taxi Of Eternal Torment" and "Clarisse Blows Up Everything" and "I Fight My Jerk Relative".

As for the movies, I've seen the first one. If you ignore the book canon, it is a good movie in it's own right. Just don't compare it to the book.

I'm wearing a skirt right now. I only have one pair of work pants so I wear them regularly.
