OH MY GOD. I was talking to Gabi about K the other day actually!

K is probably one of my favorite animes. In fact, it was one of the few animes I owned (I lost it. Rather someone borrowed it and I forgot who...).

I actually own some of the Japanese manga (because it never got translated into English for some ungodly reason that is beyond me). I actually encourage anyone who liked this series to read the various manga series. There is... five? I want to say? Memory of Red, (which is a prequel with HOMRA and focuses on those guys. Bet you $50 you'll adore them more then you did in the show and it WILL make you cry.) Stray Dog Story, (which follows Kuroh before the start of the series. I wanna say right after his master passes on), Days of Blue (which is another prequel that follows Scepter 4 and their crew (although I STILL can't remember all those dudes names even after reading it)), Countdown, (which takes place after the movie and before the second season), and Lost Small World, (which is ANOTHER prequel that's about Yata and Fushimi).

There's also like a **** ton of light novels but those never got translated into English either. Some I don't think even got fully fan translated. I've read excerpts from some of them, mostly the HOMRA kids because they're my favorites (Especially Mikoto and Tatara. They were married and you can fight me.).

Mika froze as everything around her.... basically started to go to ****. Making sure Nini was safe in her bag on her back, Mika breathed deeply and forced herself to move. In a clean strike of her blade, the young woman took down three of the Shadow Heartless as if they were nothing. However, after this move, Mika was left breathless, a bit in awe of the fact that she'd actually been able to destroy them (and she wasn't going to lie. She was rather proud of herself as well). "Hey Take, you doing okay?" the young woman asked her partner, a tad amazed at his ability to defeat the heartless as well.

Mika shivered as cracks began to appear all over the ground. The world seemed to shake and Mika was honestly quite terrified, not that she would admit it and was trying her hardest not to show it. Feeling Nini, shake in her arms, she held the cat tighter, petting the cat in an attempt to calm them both down. So when her master told them to take out their keyblades, Mika knew things would probably only get worse. Pausing quickly, the young woman knelt down, taking her backpack off her back and carefully putting her cat back into the bag. "Don't argue," Mika said, scolding the cat, fear seemingly evident in both their eyes.

After the bag was safely on her back, the young woman jumped up, summoning her keyblade in her hands. The keyblade seemed to glow in her hands and Mika couldn't help but smile and felt a little better about the situation. She sighed deeply, wiling away her aniexty, and followed Choma and Take. She was grateful when she noticed Take looking back at her and sent the boy a small smile, jumping away from the fissures that appeared in the ground (and being quite relieved that none of the cracks had been able to catch up to her). She just hoped the others had been as lucky as she, Take, and Master Choma.

Mika flipped her hair over her shoulder and nodded at her companion, holding Nini tight in her arms. "As much I wish we could do more, you're right," the young woman said, a slight bit of fear evident in her voice. "We need to get out of here--and fast."

As Mika ran after her companion, she realized how dark it had gotten. Could it be so late already? Shaking her head, she turned to Take and asked "Do you remember where they said they were going to be? Did they say where they were going to be?" Mika looked at the boy and smiled, looking a tad guilty. Her memory was kind of terrible. She blamed that fact that she'd lost it a few months, although she knew that her partner didn't know that. ​
