Tomorrow I'm going down to Ottawa (Illinois, not Canada >.<) to visit some relatives. I don't get to see them that often (in the last ten years, this is the fourth time I can spend time with them), so I'm gonna try to be off-line as much as possible, meaning limited KHV and no Voxli. Most likely I'm gonna be back around 4th of July, maybe a bit after. I might answer PM's and VM's though, if you wanna contact me, and I might be on earlier tomorrow (before 3pm GMT-6). Even though this is a fairly short leave, I just wanted to say that during the last month or so, I've been feeling a lot more welcome here, and have felt a lot more motivated to spend time here, so I'd like to thank practically everyone I've talked with recently (and apologize to the endless lyric spamming, but honestly? Avvy: 6/10 I love Saix, but that's not the best possible avatar in my opinion. The background is too bright for my liking... Sig: 9.5/10 This on the other hand is near perfection. The blues work together very nicely, the background is fairly detailed but still simple enough, and the picture and text are placed in great places. Kudos to Wolfie for it.

If I were you, I'd wait till I was 18, possibly even 21 before coming here, it would make things a lot easier from a legal point of view (it would be easier to purchase things, possibly even get loans, you wouldn't get in trouble for drinking if you wait for the latter, etc). Do you have to live in the US a certain time before you can get a Green Card or does it just take time to get it? Could you perhaps get a working visa or something? I agree that it's a pretty bad idea to go live with someone you only know on-line. Do you have any friends who would be interested in moving and living with you? I'm actually in a fairly similar position than you, I'm currently staying the summer in Illinois, and I'm considering moving here permanently after that period. I do have the advantage of being able to live with relatives, and I'm a US citizen (plus I'm over 18...) I'd put some more thought to it, maybe get a job back home to raise some money before coming. And seriously reconsider the living possibilities, first of all. I hope that was of any help ^.^
I'd offer to deal with the Finnish section, but I think there's only two or three semi-active Finns on the forum xDx I speak very rusty French and Swedish, so I could be of little help in those sections too... It's a good idea, but possibly a bit hard to get in order.
