I'm very much the same way. I got a DS because of Days, a PSP for BBS, and I got a 3DS for Christmas solely because of the upcoming KH3D. I have genuinely enjoyed playing every KH yet and I highly doubt I'll be disappointed by KH3D or KH3. My sole concern for the series is...What comes after that? Noruma has stated that will be the end of the Xehanort saga, and that he plans to retire the current cast so where will they go from there. Squeenix isn't one to drop a popular series so what will they do after 3?
