Higashi no Eden (Eden of the East). It was actually a really well done story. I felt they gave just enough plot away in each episode to keep you interested, without being swamped by it. I also watched the two films which help to conclude the storyline. I don't want to say too mich because I might spoil the plot, but you should watch it if you like mysteries. It's kinda like a drama show we'd et in the west imho.

When I revise ('cause that's what we call it in Scotland) I have a playlist on Spotify which I turn on and listen to wile i study. All of the songs on there are either Classical, Folk or Gypsy type music (random), and none of them have words, mainly because it distracts you if you do have words because you end up singing along.

I revise a little bit every week-end, going over what we've done during the week, and taking breaks to either play piano/violin, watch videos on youtube or play a game (FFIX is a big favourite at the moment). I never revise for more than 30 minutes without taking a break, studies have proven that if you study for more, then retention levels drop. I also use sites online to give myself pop quizes if I'm feeling especially massochistic.

I really enjoy comedy films, but i don't like films that try too hard to be funny, like American Pie or Meet the Fockers. I dunno, I prefer more satirical or Romantic comedies because there's more depth to them. I also really like fantasy films, jst because it's me personal genre of choice. <3.

The thing about abstract and modern art is this: to me, it's not about the art, it's about what th artist gets payed for it.

For example, in the Tate Modern Gallery in London, there are two pieces whihc particularly got me riled when I visited them a few years back. Firstly, as you walk in, there are three, square, blank canvases on the wall. Te artist was payed £2 million for tis piece of work. You have to think, I could have done that. The other is a famous one: a pile of bricks. That one also was bought for a lot of money. Really, it's insane. However, some abstract work can work very well, and if you look at an abstrack artist going work, there can sometimes be a lot of complex brushwork and a lot of flair in it. Swishes of colour and vibrancy which light up the painting. However, sometimes it's just stupid, and especially when they get payed loads of money for it, it's angering.

I feel your pain. I (voluntarily, admittedly) attended a Catholic school for 4 years. While the people there were quite nice, the whole God talk got me down quitle a lot.

If it were me, I would put something like: It's not about liking being a Catholic, it's being closer to God and such ... but I always take an objective and somewhat backwards approach to things like that, so taking my advice doesn' really help.

On the subject of your parents, people can be like that. They expect you to beleive what they believe and be like them. You kust have to remember that, at the end of the day, it's not about what they believe or what they want you to believe, it's about what you believe. That's your choice and it's none of their concern.

Just one final point on the "Animals do it" argument. Humans are as much animals as any other species. That is all.

I'm going to Scotland's only Anime convention in two weeks. I'm so excited. I'm also cosplaying as Undertaker from Kuroshitsuji (the guy in my avi). It's also pretty cheap for a convention, £45 for 3 days.

I'm really looking forward to it, but I've been warned that PCD is really annoying so I'll watch out for that.

    The Hobbit

I agree with most other people. I enjoy The Hobbit a lot more than LotR, mainly because I didn't like the whole doom and gloom atmosphere in LotR (and concerning ... which just turned me off the story before I even got to "A Long Expected Party".

The Hobbit is a lot more upbeat, and also, it is a lot more mysterious, like in certain parts in the middle that I won't spoil. Also, "Riddles in the Dark" has to be one of my favorite chapters in any book, it's right up there with "King's Cross" from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I love it so much.

No need for the backlash, I was simply stating that it happened. And I know very well that only dolphins and humans have sex for pleasure, quite strange actually consiering that they are the two most intelligent animals that we know of.

OMG YAY!!! I've been saying it for years!

Listening now. Will expand on comments later.

    EDIT:

Comments: Some really funny moments. It started out kind of rocky, but once you started talking about your favorite games and stuff, you really loosened up quite a lot "It's gonna be on your epitaph dude!" -silence.

Definitely needs to be longer, about an hour is a good length for a podcast, I know that this was only a pilot, but yeah, in future, definitely needs to be longer.

The segmenting was a bit liquid. I dunno if that makes much sense! Basically, you had four main segments: Intro, KH News, Forum Stuff and wrap-up and extra, off topic stuff. You seemed to shift a bit between them very suddenly, there was no real definite end to a certain segments and start of a new one. Intro and out-tro music would help this greatly, or even fade the voices out and fade up the music and then switch to a new track for the new segment.

On another note, I think that the music was very appropriate, and I really liked it. It wasn't too obtrusive, and it didn't overpower the hosts, but it was still there and you could still hear it, so kudos to whoever did the mixing on that one.

I think, personally that you need more sort of "segments to the show". Possibly a theorizing section where you try to tease out what is happening in the series which, I suppose could be called "Unlocking Kingdom Hearts". I have listened to many podcasts, particularly those to do with Harry Potter which really sort of started the fan-podcast genre, and a lot of those were very successful due to their theorizing bits.

Also, allowing for fan/listener contribution is always a good thing to do, as it makes the listener feel as though their voice can be heard by more people which, in the long run makes more people tune in to the show. I know you are having the listener question section (like a mail-bag I guess) in the next show, but also allowing people to record themselves asking the question instead of reading it out would be a good thing to do, also even allowing guest member hosts on to the show can also work very well, especially when you have a larger listener base.

As I said before, it started off a bit awkwardly, just with the introduction and everything. I know it was a pilot, and once you've done a few podcasts you'll feel a lot more familiar with each other which will make things easier. Try to avoid the "And you Mike"s etc, you can always cut them out when you're editing, and it helps a lot with the flow of the dialogue and discussion between you. However, only being used to doing the podcasts will help you with this, so it's all about practicing.

Don't be frightened to be a little bit opinionated. A good group dynamic and clashes of opinions are what makes listening to podcasts so enjoyable. One example from your pilot was when Mike said "I like the storyline in Days" and Sabby and Wolfie immediately were like "You like the storyline?". That's the sort of thing that's enjoyable to listen to, it's that sort of exchange of opinions that makes a podcast fun and interesting to the listeners. Remember, fans care about other fans opinions, so show them (but don't go too ott ^_^).

Finally, allow yourselves to have a bit of a laugh! If you sound like you are enjoying yourselves, then the listeners will also enjoy themselves. Allow for in-jokes and banter to appear as the show goes on, as this will make listeners think "Hey, they're talking about that thing from a few episodes back, I remember that , it was hilar!" You know? It always helps to build up this sort of rapor with your audience, because it keeps them interested and will want them to listen more.

All in all though, I can see this going in a good direction, and especially when you know each other a bit better from talking to each other vocally. It doesn't matter how long you've been talking to each other on here, because talking on Skype (which I assume is how you recorded it) is a totally different ball game.

Finally, I would like to say that I am really looking forward to the next episode, and this was a really nice surprise. Also, my questions for next episode are:

1.) If you could add one thing to the Kingdom Hearts games, what would it be and why?
2.) If you could take out anything from the games, then what would it be and why?
3.) What do you really want to happen in the next games, be it story-wise, character-wise, gameplay wise etc.

Thanks for reading this WALL O' TEXT!!! and I looks forward to the next episode.

tl;dr: You go right back up there and read it all NOW!

    And also first ... *shot*.

    Homophobia

I feel that sexuality is just like any other part of a person, like what kind of music they like, or what colour their eyes are. That's why I don't understand how people can be homophobic. I can understand people not being very supportive or not liking gay people on religious guys or whatever, but a fear is different, it's an inate, irrational fight-or-flight response. But you never see people trying to ban people who have red hair or people from listening to heavy metal music, do you (or at least very infrequently). In addition, it is observed in many other species, not just apes, but girraffes (90% of Girrafe intercourse is homosexual, 1% of that being F/F, the rest being M/M), and also Lions. How can we say that it's unnatural if it occurs naturally. If people don't like it anyway, there's such a thing as ignoring it. For example, I don't particularly like spiders or dogs, so I just ignore them and i feel better. Sexuality is no different.

On the subject of gay pride, all I can say is that I have never witnessed a gay pride parade, and, knowing a fair few gay people, I don't know any people who have been to one. However, I can tell you that they are some of the nicest, and most genuine people you will ever meet, and it may just be co-incidence, but I have never fallen out with someone who is.
