"Only with you June...." Kelveras smiled touching her cheek, "I know that you know your mother will not approve of this at all....but what ever happens I'll be right here with you dear...." he said, "try to be ready to leave at sunrise....in a few minutes....." he said gently kissing her cheek. Lanern fixed his equipment and supplies for the journey, "this will be a hard journey....but I will come back Natsuki.....I will..." he said walking into the knights quarters, "all soldiers going to the front are to be ready in no more than half a hour.....be ready......"
"Only if we are together....if we are with each other..." Kelveras said with a small smile, "whatever happens from here on out....we are together....in everything we do...." he said leaning forward and gently kissing her, "I love you June....." Lanern turned around to wave and saw Natsuki's expression, "I'm sorry....but I need to help our kingdom....I wish you could come....but I would never want you where I am about to go...." he sighed, "take care of her Tadami...I know you will......"
Kelveras was shocked at the request, "no June...." he said taking her hands, "I could never put you in that kind of situation....didn't you hear me....I love you dear....." he said, "I don't ever want to put you in a risk like that......" Lanern sighed, "well....I was about to get ready to leave to bring reinforcements to our soldiers on the front prince Tadami.....I'm sure you will have things handled here....." he nodded, "with that I'll leave you two...." he said bowing and heading to the knight quarters.
"I've dreamed of being by your side forever June...." Kelveras said hugging her close, "aways being with my princess....whom I love...." he said gently kissing her once, "I promise I will be back to you June....I promise you.....until I return....you have my heart....and it shall be yours forever...." he said gently standing up with her. Lanern sighed and laughed, "I don't know what we will have to do with her your highness..." he said standing up, "perhaps make her a little dungeon cell of her own.....have her tickled three times a day.....sounds good to me...."
Kelveras continued to hold June close to him, "I know dear....I know....." he said thinking and gently rubbing her back, "June...." he said leaning back so he could look into her eyes, "I don't know if you ever knew this....but I love you...." he said with a soft smile, "I love you princess....." Lanern became somewhat nervous, "well....to be truthfully so.....its because they don't want it...and not saying its bad....but I don't think too many people here want it...." he sighed, "its the fact that no one knows who really started the fighting long ago but they are willing to blame each other before anyone else....." he noticed Tadami, "good afternoon prince Tadami....I take it theres a good chance your looking for this princess right here..." he grinned tickling Natsuki.
Kelveras pulled back a little and gently wiped June's tears, "June....I want to see you smile dear...." he said taking her hands, "just like when we used to play when we were little....just like when we first kissed.....I want my princess to be happy....." he said with a soft smile. Lanern sighed, "wouldn't we all Natsuki...." he said looking over at her, "if only things were that simple....a deep rooted hatred and sense of greed corrupts the mind of some people...." he said starting to get up, "perhaps you could tell your father and mother how you feel about this war....they are the ones if anyone who can stop it with your help...."
"June...." Kelveras said gently turning around, he looked into her eyes and slowly leaned forward lightly kissing her once, then embraced her, "its my duty princess.....I owe my life to you and my kingdom...." "No I suppose it wouldn't be...." Lanern grinned and laughed a little, "but...I am the head knight...what would I look like if I said I didn't want to go?" he said reaching out and poking Natsuki, "then I would be pretty funny looking...."
Kelveras noticed her expression and backed off a little, "actually....I should probably be heading down to the knights quarters.....after all....what kind of role model am I if I let a wound like this stop me...." he sighed forcing himself up, "please take care June...." he said giving her hand one more gentle squeeze and headed out the door slowly. Lanern smiled and sat up, "why would I be needed here?" he asked curious to hear her reply, "I know you don't want me to go Natsuki...and trust me I would rather be here with you, your mother, the king, your sister and brother......but I am needed there as well....."
Kelveras noticed June's mood had changed, "I miss my princess's smile....a true joy that used to show itself...." he said turning to her and looking her in the eyes, "June....may I help remove some of your sadness my princess......." he said leaning a little bit closer. Lanern sighed. "I wish I could be happy like you princess...." he said looking into the sky, "but I don't think its possible for me to be.....the frontlines near the heart require more soldiers....which means I'll be heading down there soon....."
Kelveras leaned up the best he could and sat next to June, "I will always worry about you princess...as I've said its my duty..." he said with a gentle smile and lightly kissed her cheek before returning to staring out the window, "this war....the stories....I've heard have gone on for ages....all because of this heart....the power it holds....and the greed in mens hearts that lead them to it....." Lanern sat up quickly and opened his eyes looking around before spotting Natsuki, he sighed and smiled, "So its you princess.....just relaxing....." he said, "if you would like...I would be overjoyed to have your company...."
"I could never let you take my place princess....I would never wish anything bad upon you June...." Kelveras said heading back into his room with her, he slowly got back on the bed and laid down, "I'm the head knight captain of Oblivion....I can't just lie around though....." he said giving her hand a gentle squeeze. Lanern left the tavern and headed once again back to the castle garden to relax, "it seems like this is the only place I can come to for solitude...." he sighed closing his eyes and lying down in the grass, "the birds....the gentle breeze.....the rustle of the grass...."
"Thats something I can't do though...." Kelveras said looking up and into her eyes, "I have a duty to this kingdom and you...." he said gently touching her cheek, "I felt happiness when you smiled June....its given me hope that perhaps days could return to the old ways...." he said gently taking her hand. Lanern and his soldiers entered the courtyard, "alright soldiers....put your horses away....rest of the day is yours to relax..." he sighed getting off his horse and tieing it up, he walked into a small tavern and sat down at the bar, "small glass of rum please...." he said resting his face in his hands.
"You exhaust my patience.....I am merely trying to protect my country and you sit here running your mouth...." Lanern said hand on the hilt of his sword, "your right.....you don't need to explain yourself.....until you set foot in my court......" he said starting to ride off again. Kelveras managed to open his door and lean on the doorframe, "That definately could have gone better...." he sighed, "now lets see if I could go down leaning against the wall...."
Lanern started to become annoyed, "your here on the Oblivion side....it is illegal and punishable for a kingdom to have its enemies in its kingdom....." he said eyeing her, "so for your sake I hope you are an Oblivion...." he turned back to his men, "lets go home....." he said riding off. Kelveras slightly leaned up and winced, "well....theres one move...." he said turning sideways, "now for this one...." he said attempting to set his feet on the floor and stand up, "looks like its going well so far..." he said slumping to the floor and grabbing his side.
OOC: Think she meant that to Japanime's post...and as far as a recap. After the meeting Destiny returned to their select kingdoms and things were peaceful. Your character (Lloyd) killed a shop keeper in Destiny kingdom, Li and Vaj decided to go to the city in Oblivion, and surprisingly Tadami and Natsuki wanted to seek out and see the Oblivion city as well. Lanern received the news of the murder and immediately took a group of soldiers to confront the Oblivion kingdom. He was confronted by Kelveras who was not confessing to a Oblivion committing the crime and therefore a fight broke out. During the fight June entered and was almost attacked if not for Kelveras, Lanern left not having enough proof to back up that it was in fact a Oblivion and started to leave until where we are now. BIC: Kelveras laid on his bed looking out the window, he winced a little, "that fool got a good hit in on me...." he said looking down at the bandaged wound, "but I can't be here lying around either...." he said trying to get up. Lanern looked down from his horse at the masked girl, "yes little Oblivion....a shopkeeper of ours was murdered...." he said not really interested in the conversation, "and we are fairly sure it was an Oblivion....but as no one will fess up to the crime....justice can not be served...." he said starting to ride off.
"I can't think of better company than my princess...." Kelveras said with a small smile, he walked with June inside the castle, he stopped a servant, "see if you can get a doctor down here..." he said wrapping his cloak around his wound and lying down on a bench.
"Its ok June...." Kelveras said slowly getting up and holding his side, "I'd do it a million times to save my princess...." he said reaching up and touching her cheek, "I should probably have the doctors take care of this....so long as they have one free that isn't on the plague...."
"Get out of our kingdom now....before I give my guards the order to attack....." Kelveras said trying to stand up, "or your punishment will be next...." Lanern closed his eyes and sheathed his sword, "forgive me princess....that attack was not meant for you..." he said to June before turning back to his men, "we are heading back to Destiny...lets go...." he said as they all left.
Lanern was distracted by the voice and without realizing swung his sword around with him as he turned around. Lanern's sword made contact with Kelveras's side as he got infront of June, "so this is the punishment you want..." he said wincing, "trying to kill my princess....." he said gritting his teeth.
"Our side...." Kelveras said somewhat annoyed, "so just because we are enemies....crime only comes from the other side....." he said shaking his head, "well your wrong Lanern....we do have justice....and if we knew who did it we would want it upon them as well...." Lanern gritted his teeth, "I'm tired of your lies...." he said drawing his sword and swinging at Kelveras, "we know your hatred....your tricks....." he said fighting with Kelveras.
