Melissa steadied her emotions, then trusted herself to speak. "I'll tell you, but you have to promise that if i start crying too hard, to let me do whatever i need to do. It was way back before i got turned. The boy I liked-" she paused, "- Zachary, we were due to be married. And then i got turned. He found out somehow, and still loved me enough not to tell anyone, but refused to actually love me. I told him i could change, but he didn't listen. So i tried to force him into thinking he still really loved me, erasing the memory that i had been changed. It only messed up my brain, erasing nearly everything we did up to when i tried messing with him. All i have now is that one memory, of him crying out while i went through his brain... replaying...over and over..." Tears were flowing openly now, streaming down her cheeks with no breaks. A sob escaped her throat. She gulped and looked at them both with bloodshot eyes. "I'm fine, really," she said, although her voice broke on the last word as she tried to stifle another sob. "Just...not a pleasant memory."
Melissa giggled. "Told you there were advantages. I can get away with practically anything. But there are limits, as you can imagine." She closed her eyes, and a small tear cut through her mascara. It found its way down her cheek, where she rubbed it off. The smear was still there. "I can't-" Her voice broke. "I can't make people love eachother."
"Aw, man, that would be funny..." She laughed and caught Rella's eye again. Search for it, search for it.... ah, there it is. SHe broke it down, along with any other fake memories and feelings that had, unavoidably, come with it. "How'ya feeling there, hot shot?" She grinned at Rella.
When snow melts, it becomes liquid disappointment that the snow is gone. But then we jump in the puddles and scream with glee, because melting snow means blooming flowers- spring is on the way. ^^

Melissa turned to Athena. "Hahaha. I made her afraid of water. I just want to see what'll happen after awhile; oh, don't look like that, i can fix it,you know."

Melissa nodded sadly. "But there is one advantage to this..." She held Rella's gaze for a moment. This'll only take a second..., she thought to Rella. She put in a small, fake memory of Rella being hydraphobic, then left her mind.
