Roxas pushed himself up from his chair after seeing Sora do it, knowing that there was a challenge coming. "Yes. Really," he confirmed with a nod, one hand on the back of his chair. If Sora made any move for those brownies... Kairi looked between both of the boys, already aware of exactly what was happening here. They were challenging each other, which never ended well.
Soo... What are we gonna do now? xD
Roxas took one last bite before setting his fork down, looking up from his plate and staring at Sora. "Nuh uh, you had enough earlier. Those brownies are mine," he declared, remembering how much of them Sora had eaten earlier. It was Roxas's turn to have more than two, when Sora had about six.
xDD Yes, you are.
Kairi tried to hide her amusement with the conversation, focusing on eating her dinner. Her friends... One way or another, all of them were goofballs, and it was most noticeable with they were all together. She didn't mind, though; times like these were worthwhile. She missed the boys' bickering while they were gone, so she welcomed it, even if she was being quiet.
It stinks. x3
Roxas turned his eyes to Sora then, smirking. "Told you so," he said before returning to his food. Good, so he hadn't been fooled into thinking his cooking was edible; it was the truth.
This Afternoon - Nickelback
Eh. My parents don't get anything good to eat, so I have to resort to that. xD
Kairi continued chewing on her spaghetti, not speaking because she didn't want to get in the middle of the boys' conversation. However, she could feel the tension, which had grown with Sora's last comment. She glanced up at the two blondes, feeling a little bad for Namine; Roxas was staring at her for obvious proof of what Sora said, which meant the blonde girl was being brought into this directly.
Nice. xD Actually, mine's more like a snack: bologna sandwich. :3
Roxas turned his head to Namine after a minute, his eyes holding one question: Did you really pretend it was good? The boy wanted to ask, but he wasn't sure if he could form the question. If he asked, and she said yes, he would be disappointed; he thought he did a pretty good job, and it didn't taste that bad to him.
Not much. Just having a late lunch. You?
Roxas's grasp on his fork tightened at Sora's words, the boy glaring at his best friend across the table. Namine did like the meal, and ate all of it after complimenting on the first bite. She wouldn't lie about something like that...would she?
Well hello there! =)
Roxas's lips formed a firm line, the boy's eyebrows furrowing even more. "Okay, fine. You got me," he admitted. "But did you know that I cooked a dinner like this all by myself for Namine? No help other than Kairi's recipe, and by myself." He motioned to the girl sitting beside him. "And she loved it," he said. Roxas then gave Sora a look as if to say, So what now?
"Ham is more difficult to cook than garlic bread, Sora," Roxas said, not knowing what else to use as a comeback. "Gimme a break." And did Sora know that Roxas cooked a dinner like this all on his own a while ago? Probably not, but if Roxas mentioned it, then perhaps he could prove a point.
"Maybe, but I would have at least checked them after a few minutes," Roxas retorted, his food no longer within interest. He was focused on his conversation with Sora right now. The ham incident hit a nerve, but he tried to forget about it.
Roxas looked up at Sora, furrowing his eyebrows. He swallowed his food and then spoke. "I asked you to watch bread," he pointed out, again. "That's completely different than ham." Ham took forever to cook, and was more difficult in his opinion. Bread took eight minutes, and Sora couldn't pay attention long enough to realize it was done.
"Hey, it wasn't the whole house," Roxas countered, pointing his fork at Sora as he spoke. "Just a tiny bit of the kitchen." And nothing had been that damaged from the small accident. He looked down at his food and started eating again, knowing that was another thing Sora wasn't going to let him live down.
