Eva could only stare at him in horror. He must have the gift of reading minds. She covered her ears with her hands, making her thoughts go crazy. Even if she paid for it later, the least she could do was give him a headache. Her mind jolted from animal to human, from prey to predator and back again, switching species faster then her body could ever have kept up. One of the small things Larz had allowed her to do.
I've been okay. How have you been? I miss you on msn 8D8
She smiled a little, nodding to show she had the coat held around her. That way if she lost control on this form, she wouldn't be too cold. "I don't think he means any harm, Victor." she murmured, holding the coat tighter. "I think he's okay."
do I annoy you. do you annoy me. would you consider eating clay. would you consider changing sexes for a day. can you rhyme. can I rhyme. do you even care if someone's female or not. is there a point to asking these. would you dance with timexhasxgone. how's the weather. first impression. impression nao.
"Don't shoot him." she murmured, her voice half a purr. "I um...." how could she tell him that Elevir had contacted her? She had promised not to tell..."I just felt funny, seeing Ren again after all this time. And then this." she gestured, her fur ruffling slightly. "Are you okay?"
So....The Organization was involved now...Cloud's friends...Tifa rubbed her forehead, thinking. Politics weren't really her forte, she would rather just go in and plan a strategy to fight. So...if they weren't Cloud's friends, but his friends were on the same side as nonfriends....then maybe they could negotiate. Something had to be done, though. She didn't trust those Nobodies anymore, not even as far as she could throw them, and she most certainly didn't trust Gex.
Getting that creepy feeling, like someone was staring at her, Eva raised her head. What..it was that guy. He was still there? She stared right back, her green gold eyes giving him stare for stare. If he wanted to see a freak, then he would see one. She didn't want to be lying in the street naked anyway.
Eva prompty sat down, and shifted to her half human form, staying in the shadows as she leaned her head against the alley wall. She didn't want anyone to see her, like this. She sighed, then closed her eyes, resting for a second. Why did life have to be so hard?
I don't think we ever talked, maybe once. It's hard to keep up, but I'm sure you'll do well in school, and good luck with it! If we dont' see you back, good luck with life, and if we do, then...we saw it comin. Besides, you were a big scary member when I was just a noob, so there was something lost >|
Seems like almost everyone here either has your number or you have theirs, but i'll just add myself  Seriously, play it safe, luffie. You're too important to be stupid, and you're too smart to be dumb, so keep quiet, and we'll see you soon.
But truuuuuuuue. I'm otay. Joo is betters?
I was under the impression there was snow year round in the forests :/gasp: But I could be off target. Snow White was a pansy, I figured it was...
Walking around, trying to keep warm, Alianne cursed to herself, and didn't stop till she was breathless. There was no money, so no place to stay, unless she offered herself up as a ticket, and she wouldn't do that. Hearing someone, or something yell, she looked up, and smacked into a wall. Cursing even more, now dizzy, she stumbled back, trying to find a place to at least sit down where it was dry.
Avril Lavigne (I've seen her in one movie and she was cool.) Jennifer Love Hewitt (She's pretty cool too) Mainstream up there would be interesting. Julia Roberts (She's cool. Duplicity was ****ing awesome.) Justin Timberlake (I'd lol)
Well What? would know how to wash his donkey in an river, while fighting off angry beavers with syrup bombs.
Back to Basics The wall of fur around her was warm, but it smelled funny. Like dirt and smoke and wet. The girl pushed her head away, mumbling, then opened her eyes. Two yellow orbs stared right back at her. She didn’t make a noise, but stared right back. They wouldn’t hurt her. There was something similar in them that she knew…but then why was the hair rising on her back. A low growling sound filled the cave, and it surprised her even more when she realized it was her. The gray fur settled back, watching her, then opened it’s mouth. “You can‘t help but hate me.” It answered, sounding….rough, deep. “Hopefully you‘ll curb your hate and learn to alliance yourself with us, so we may defeat our enemies. My name is Harrow.” The girl nodded, then slowly came forward, shifting back to the form with two legs, but keeping her fur and claws. “I‘m….Ra…..Ra….Rach..” she couldn’t finish it, couldn’t remember how hard she tried. “Rachel.” The deep voice spoke again, then a long nose came into her vision and licked her, smoothing her fur. “Your name will be Rachel.” Rachel punched wildly into the air, her eyes opening with a jolt. A hand caught her fist. She registered that it was Jason before relaxing, letting her arm go limp. “I‘m sorry.” she whispered, sitting up. Looking around, she realized where she was, that there was no danger, and let her eyes close. “I‘m sorry.” she whispered again. She felt his eyes appraising her, and opened her own, staring at his. “I heard you weren’t eating.” He said finally, holding out a plate to her. She realized it was brownies, and smiled a little. “Shia found the kitchen.” “Yeah. She‘s the one who mentioned.” There was silence, this time it was awkward. He wanted answers, and the ones she gave weren’t comforting or ones that would make him happy. Finally, “You gonna tell me what‘s wrong?” More silence. She wanted to, he deserved more then this, but….this was something she had to do alone, right? “I…..I keep having these dreams.” The words left her mouth unwillingly, quietly. “I don‘t know whether they‘re real memories, or just things my mind strings together to fill the whole.” She rubbed her eyes, leaning forward. “They‘re so violent, I don‘t want them to be true, the things I do, the people who have done things to me. I don‘t want it to be true, but if it is, I regain my past. So what has the more sacrifices?” Trying not to cry, Rachel looked away, hiding her emotions the only way she could. She took a deep shaky breath, trying to calm herself, when a hand guided her face to something warm and solid, Jason’s shoulder. She took another breath, closing her eyes, letting him hold her there. They stayed that way for a second longer, then his hand slowly dropped. She looked up, her eyes meeting his lighter ones for a second, then looked away. “I‘m sorry. I‘m probably going insane.” she murmured, rubbing her neck. “Thanks for the food, I‘m just not hungry…” They stayed there for a bit more, him looking at her, her looking at the floor. What could they say that wouldn’t tear them apart, push each other away? More awkward then it had ever been, she supposed. “Rachel…Why exactly is Michael helping us?” Jason finally asked, his voice quiet, but even she could detect the hidden menace. “What did you promise him?” She looked down at the bed, smoothing it with her fingers as she thought how to answer. “He changed our original deal….so he could help Tanya. I won‘t hurt him, and I‘ll listen to him. In exchange, he would take care of us, when we needed it. He even took care of our families. They think the school trip is delayed because of a storm.” She smiled a little, folding her hands in her lap. “He‘s obviously interested.” Those three words made her shiver, but she hide it. “I know. I‘m prepared to decline his….affections.” They both knew what would happen to her if they got together. “Rachel….I have to go home.” This made her look up, not bothering to hide the curiosity. “There‘s a complication..I didn‘t expect any of this to happen and…” he was avoiding her gaze this time. She watched him, waiting. He would talk when he was ready. “I‘m going to have a little sister.” He finally said, meeting her eyes. She knew the shock showed, and quickly hid it. “That‘s wonderful.” she murmured, keeping her eyes lowered. That meant he wouldn’t be coming back for…. “I‘ll be gone for a few months.” he replied, finishing her thought. Rachel smiled, knowing the tears showed, though they weren’t sadness. He and her had been apart, just not that long since they had met. She was going to be alone, throughout all this. He reached out to her, almost instinctively, but she backed away. “Sorry….You better go say goodbye to everyone.” she kept up the smile, knowing he couldn’t say anything about it, but knowing that he was worried. Saying nothing, he finally got up, still watching her. “I‘ll give you a call when I get home.” he murmured, then turned and left. “Goodbye, Rachel.” Those two words sounded like a gong through her heart, and like knife into her heart. It’s not goodbye….She told herself. She kept repeating that it wasn’t goodbye to herself. But why did it feel like a last goodbye?
But I'm still a broken mirror. :glomp: Hi der Kreeeeeeee.
Chapter 3 I wake up, my hands covering my mouth, a scream silenced from between them. My room is undisturbed, nothing amiss. I lay back, a hand passing over my eyes, licking up the blood that's dripping from my cut finger. Three nights a week, this happens. Sleeping is getting rougher, harder to catch. Getting up, I open the window, letting the cooler air flow over me. The nightgown I'm wearing, a light green, flows gently, the soft fabric touching my skin like a gentle kiss. I want to see Zero again, no matter the cost. I know I want to, from the bottom of my heart. Hearing a gentle noise behind me, I close my eyes. “I want to see him again, Kaname-sama.” The words come out as a whisper, but I know he can hear me. “I just want to see him one more time.” There's a gentle sigh, then I can almost feel him smile, even if it's sad. This small motion pulls me back to one of my final memories as a human. “Kaname....why do you always look so sad when you're with me?” Shaking my head slightly to clear it, I look back, pleading with my eyes. “Neutral ground?” I finally murmur, watching. Slowly, he nods, the smile still in place. There's a tinge of sadness, he realizes I'm not a little girl anymore. “I'll arrange something.” He murmured, coming to stand next to me. “If that's what would make you happy.” * * * * * * * * * * Zero stared out the window, his arm leaning against the woodwork frame. The room was empty now, Yori having moved in with another room mate. She didn't want to be alone, in the same room where Yuki used to be. There were two beds, empty mattresses. The walls were bare except for the monotonous wallpaper. No curtains, no paintings, no clothing on the floor or dressers. Closing his eyes, Zero could almost see her standing in front of him, the way she had been. He couldn't accept that she was a vampire, even though her fangs had pierced him, at his own request. He had tried to use that as proof, and he still didn't believe it. Opening his eyes, silver hair gleaming gently in the fading sunlight, Zero Kiryu touched the tatto at the side of his neck gently, the memories passing in front of his eyes. Yuki smiling at her sixteenth birthday, Yuki curled up, frightened on the bed, Yuki hiding a secret, blushing. Quiet footsteps behind him jolted him out of his revere, but didn't startle him. His other senses, his vampire senses, had known it. “Headmaster.” Kaien Cross looked out the window along with him, hands behind his back. He was wearing his customary green scarf, along with a yellow jacket. The glasses perched on his nose were present, as when he wasn't hunting. “Kiryu. I have a letter, from some important people.” “So reply to it. Why involve me?” Zero turned away, bored, heading toward the door, his hands in his pockets. “You'll want to see who sent it.” The headmaster held out a folded piece of paper. Taking it, Zero relized it was more formal then he thought, heavy, and with the gilded feel that more expensive paper usually had. “Is it from the Society?” he asked, opening it and scanning it. Freezing, his eyes locked onto the paper, Zero felt his heart stop in shock. The headmaster watched with an understanding look in his eyes. “Are you going to go?” He asked softly, his hands coming to rest at his side. Zero didn't know how to reply. Why did this happen now, after all this time? He looked wordlessly up at the headmaster, not knowing how to respond. Kaien nodded slowly. “I'm going to go. I owe it.” He left the room, turning back one more time. “I leave at dawn, Kiryu. Yagari Toga is also coming along.” He left Zero alone, to hold the letter and watch the fading sun set out that window. The ending of another day.
