    Gameplay: 10/10
Gameplay was awesome. I really enjoyed it. It actually gives me a challenge and the enemies aren't no pushover either! I was playing as Marluxia and the yellow heartless beat the living crap out of me! I also like how you can practically play as everyone. It's really fun. And my favorite part is that the party members do decent damage. Its makes fights much easier.

    Graphics: 10/10
Square-Enix REALLY pushed these graphics do to their limits, or over there limits. The minute I saw the intro, I practically grinned until my face hurt! To me, its like playing it on a PSP. So I congrats Square-Enix COMPLETELY! They rock!

    Voicing: 8/10
I was little disappointed when I heard the voices. I just miss those classical voices...

    Storyline: 10/10
Best. Storyline. Ever. Despite the fact I haven't gone far into the game, I still like it. Its always on track and never goes "off-topic."

    Overall
    :
    9/10
Alright, this game is WORTH IT! I recommend this game to anyone.

Will - my goodness, its incredibly hard where to begin. this game. was. EVERYTHING!. i'm gonna sum it up as best i can. the game, it met ALL expectations. and was above and BEYOND. i should warn you, before you continue. SPOILERS MAY BE POSSIBLE so you may wanna stop here. as for the KH lovers who wanna know what our thoughts are, keep on reading

    *REVIEW*
    -Graphics-
KH358/2DAYS Pushed the DS as far as it could ever achieve, no other DS game... not in our library anyway, had anything worthy of touching this. of course the simple cutscenes were pixelated, i expected as much. the scenes were ps2 compatible. and the FMV scenes left us speechless. an unstoppable amount of EYE candy flourished. over all, Graphics. 5 of 5

    -Gameplay-
for a DS styled Kingdom Hearts, this was a treat. unfortunatly the DS couldnt fully imitate the gameplay KH2 had to offer, but thats OK because apparently Square thought ahead and gave you knew moves and a similar but new type of combat system to still be very enjoyable and almost exactly identical to its ps2 counterpart, the common kh players wont think it any different and thats a good thing. the new moves and new aerodynamic type of battle system the DS had to offer DID NOT FAIL TO PLEASE.
    3.5 of 5

    -Music-
many of the classic KH1/KHCoM/KH2 music was re-used as well as Utada Hikaru's "My Sanctuary/Passion" was used for the Opening and Ending, but if you look carefully you may find a new track in there too. nothing was wrong with this music in kh2 or in kh1. its still good, and still pleasing to the ear. 4 of 5

    -Story-
woah, just when you thought you had the story well put together in your mind and in your facts. this game probably shattered half of them. but in a good way that it may go into a new area we may have thought to never be able to happen. seeing as Ven makes an appearance. the death of Xion and the explanation of how Roxas obtained 2 keyblades was a very well written script. this could not have been done better.
    over all 5 of 5

    -Difficulty-
DAMN!!!, and i thought Chain of Memories/Re:chain of memories had me pissed off. this game's difficulty does NOT SCREW AROUND. unlike in kh1/khCoM/kh2, when you attack an enemy, they stutter and or get knocked back from heavy damage. IT DOES NOT APPLY HERE. i mean it, Almost Literally every fight you come up against in this game, is a sheer utter struggle for SURVIVAL, the odds are against you the entire time. ill give you a little run down of how things work. You just cant rush the enemy and start attacking like crazy or getting attack friendly like we all were in previous titles. almost every single fight takes timing and concentration, YOU as Roxas HAVE ABSOLUTLEY NO RECOVERY TIME. most of these heartless can literally drain all your HP in a second. the leveling up process is pretty slow. Moogle is by god your best friend in this game. once you play, you'll know why. it seems that once you get the option to see Moogle, your all set... over all, the difficulty. not unbeatable. BUT GOD DAMN IS IT HARD.
    4.5 of 5

    -Lasting Appeal-
the story of any Kingdom Hearts game had all the players replay the story and begging for more. and so does this one. the mission mode, where you have the option of playing as the entire Organization 14, including others such as Sora, MickeyMouse, Donald, Goofy, and Riku.
replaying the game to collect what you missed, forge what you didnt, and mission complete those you skipped is another reason for another go at it. although, aside from the pointed out. the lack of fully free roaming like in the other games before it, was kind of dissapointing.
    3.5 of 5

    -Personal Knit Picking-
well the game did meet my expectations, but i cant really feel the need to replay the story again. the whole mission's thing was fine, but the lack of a greater combo system and the mission's all seem like a chore. i cant say this will be the same for the english release because ill actually understand how things go. i mean i did beat this game on jap with my DS but i still didnt understand some of the content. THE STORY I UNDERSTOOD PERFECTLY, it was things like. i have well over one hundred thousand munny. and i have no idea how to spend it. sigh, in short. is Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days worth it? well yeah, its a great game, coming from a point of view of just the japanese version. its good, but i dont find and or want to play through it again, or really do i even care to unlock anything i didnt. because, knowing im gonna get it in english. im just gonna end up doing it again. i love the kh franchise. but its all busy work.

overall, the Brotherhood of Gaming give Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days their Final Verdict... and it is 4 of 5.

When I got hands on the game, I knew that this game was going to be the most awesome game I've ever played so far. The number of keyblades you can equip and the unique combos that come with it adds a lot of variety to it and each has an advantage on air or ground enemies. The story (even though I understand some japanese) is fantastic and the relationship between Roxas, Xion and Axel is just as strong as Sora, Riku and Kairi's.

The missions were great from defeating heartless to searching the worlds. The toughness of the heartless was really a challenge and sometimes I died because of the amount of damage they can deal. But with the new limit break being added, it provided me a great advantage when I was in peril. The mission mode was probably one of the best things in the KH series as you can play as all of the XIII characters, however I was expecting a wi-fi mode so I could play with people in Japan which would've been epic.

Lastly, the game focusing on Roxas' time in the Organization and dealing with all this drama later really made him my absolute favourite character of all. I hope Roxas will be seen in future games. Peace.

A very good spin-off. Roxas fans will love it for Roxas, Roxas haters will love it for the mission mode, and all others will adore it for the unique equipment/item system, graphics, and the return of old favorite worlds.

    STORY
Not very good in the beginning, but picks up quickly in Days 250 through 300 (haven't gotten much farther.) It is also relatively easy to understand, despite the "japaneseness." I give it a 5/10, but only because I can't understand most of it, and the fact that most cutscenes are word bubble based.

    GAMEPLAY
Overall, good gameplay, but Halloweentown has the same camera problems as KH1. The command menu gets a bit annoying though, because unlike the other games, you have to use a single separate button (X) to scroll. The panel system is also fun, combining the tedious strategy of the COM/Re: COM system (which I am a big fan of), the nonstop action packed menu system of KH1/KH2 (which I am also a big fan of), and the fitting together of pieces that we have come to know and love from games like Tetris, 99 Blocks, etc. I give it a 10/10

    GRAPHICS
VERY good graphics for a DS, especially the few FMV cutscenes. 9/10

    OVERALL
Overall, I enjoy playing the game and will continue playing after beating it. 10/10

The press kit that was shown at E3 has leaked online with images from Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, which includes logos, screenshots and renders. A very short trailer that was shown at E3, has also been shown, but this particular video doesn't contain voices.

Hey everyone, the E3 2009 event is just about wrapping up now in California. We were able to see one trailer that lasted for two minutes, but nothing else appeared to be shown at the event for Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days. It was said that demos were playable at the event, but nothing was shown online. Below are two images from the booth and a hands-on review from IGN.

    Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (Hands-On)
    Written by: Mark Bozon
June 3, 2009 - After a short hiatus the Kingdom Hearts franchise is back on a Nintendo portable, this time heading to DS with Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days. Teaming the same Square Enix/Disney mash-up RPG design as its predecessors, the latest action RPG is teaming with beautiful character design, some impressive CG, enchanting music, and some tried and true gameplay. I may have only had about 20 minutes with the game thus far, but it's obviously a force to be reckoned with on DS.

For the demo today I had a chance to try the game's main single player mode, following Roxas to Agrabah where Princess Jasmine and Aladdin are attempting to find the source for some mysterious sandstorms, which eerily follow with attacks from the "heartless." In an attempt to set things right in the Disney oasis, the young boy walks the streets with key in hand attempting to take out monsters as they spawn. For this introduction mission it's focused mainly on a group of fire flowers, though supporting "barrier masters" – spell casters with plenty of action magic – keep the other baddies in the fight.

The mission was entirely solo, though it still gave a nice opening experience as far as combat and basic mobility goes. For those that don't know Kingdom Hearts is a mash-up action RPG experience that blends classic hack-n-slash gameplay with members from both the Square and Disney side of things. The DS version blends the two very well, having an in-depth lock-on system, plenty of ground and air combos via A spamming, magic, and items. Since I was jumping in at a random point in the story there isn't much to say about the actual plot, but the combat itself was very snappy, the animation is fluid and well done, and every enemy trounced sprouts out a few coins and items.

Unfortunately that's about the most I could get out of the single player portion, as no spells were included in the build (or at least this mission). In one specific area outside of the main Agrabah zone Axel joins the fight as well via an AI-controlled assist player. He helps out on kills, mills about the area on his own, but you've also got info on his health and status at all times, so while the demo didn't require me to heal or manage him at all I'd assume that develops later on in the mission.

As the other core offering in the demo, a showcase of the game's multiplayer was also on display, letting four players hack it out in arena-style combat. I was automatically brought in as Roxas, but other players looked to be running around with Axel and a few other characters, donning character-specific weapons. This mode was pretty entertaining for what little time I had, but it also inevitably ended with a huge hack-n-slash pile all centered in the middle of the room. It'd take more than a quick E3 showing to really put multiplayer to the test, but the game itself held up extremely well as far as framerate and control goes.

I know, that's a short hands-on, and what I had the chance to play today was really just a taste of what's to come with Kingdom Hearts on DS. Even with it being such a quick demo though I can tell you I was blown away by the game's production values, and that includes the strong voice work, beautiful music, fluid 3D presentation, and snappy animation. This is going to be a great game for DS fans that are waiting for yet another RPG on Nintendo's handheld. And hey, even if you're struggling to keep up with the seemingly never-ending amount of content on the system, you'll be happy to know Nintendo fans just got two definitive RPGs this E3 with both Golden Sun and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Square-Enix knows what it's doing on this platform, and it shows.

Hey everyone, before I continue this update, I just wanted to let you guys know that another two updates were made right before this current update. In the previous updates, we've added the twelve scans from Nintendo Power and updated on some screenshots and information on Kingdom Hearts: Coded.

E3 2009 will be running till late tomorrow. Let's hope that we'll receive more information. In the mean time, there is a photo that was taken at the E3 2009 event. If you look closely, you may notice that the Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days booth doesn't have much going on over there.

The new scans from Nintendo Power have surfaced online thanks to Aluminumticket from HeartStation. This issue contains screenshots and a lot of in-depth information. The issue also features a interview with Nomura. The best part about this these scans is that everything is written in English for Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days.

I'll admit that it's still awhile until Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days is released in North America, but the good news is that we'll be receiving a lot of English news on the title. During this time period, I'm sure content for Birth by Sleep will be shown in the new couple of weeks or months. We have a lot to look forward for.

    Leaving Soon

I don't want to alarm you guys, but I thought I should let you all know. I'm leaving in one more week to move back to New York. I won't have connection starting the 8th and this may last till the 15th of June. This could be less, depending on the situation. It's really not that long, but I just wanted to let everyone know due to the major updates that are coming in. I'm sure I won't miss much and I'll be able to access the website at times with other computers around to update any thing that is missed.

By the way, I'm sorry about being a couple hours late with the trailer for North America. I was so determined to be here when this video leaked. Anyway, I will be here to inform you guys on E3 news before I leave, so it shouldn't be a problem. That's really it. I'm here to stay and I won't be leaving for that long.
