As the story progresses the main characters begin to dislike each other more and more, eventually leading to Vincent being murdered by the gang shoving him in a coffin, Yuffie is abandoned in a Forest, Tifa quitting to become a barmaid, Barret going to his hometown and regrowing a hand, Cid going back to a crap life in a random town, Red XIII and Cloud getting kidnapped and becoming test subjects, and Aeris joins a church to help her get over it all.
