No, it's not called something else. The first book is called The Golden Compass, the second is The Subtle Knife, and the third is The Amber Spyglass. Together they make up His Dark Materials, a trilogy made of pure awesome. Definitely one of my favorite trilogies of all time, second only to the A Great and Terrible Beauty trilogy.

And yeah, the movie was suuuuper disappointing. They had all the makings of something epic: great cast, awesome effects, amazing book to base it on. But then they went and cut all the actual important/interesting parts out and screwed the whole thing up. The movie didn't even end at where book one ends, they cut it short so it could be a happy-happy-la-la-la-everything's-wonderful-now ending, which it totally is NOT. Gah it could have been sooooo good... damn them >_<

Exactly. The media hypes it up because people eat up this kind of thing. We are all fascinated by the macabre; we just can't get enough of it. So they make it seem bigger than it really is, which then causes everyone to freak out about something they later realize was never that big of a deal (Ex: The Bird Flu).

Yes, people have died. But there really haven't been that many deaths, and I don't think anyone has died in the US. Like Pezz said, the chance of death is extremely low.

But of course, don't ignore symptoms if you get them. That would be stupid.

If you're feeling sick, and you live that close to Juarez, then you need to go to the doctor. I mean, this is nothing to freak out about, but it's nothing to take lightly either. As long as you take care of yourself and get the proper treatment, you should be fine.

Sigh, obviously people are choosing to ignore me, and would rather freak out instead.

Well, if you all wanna stress yourselves out, then go right ahead. But I'm telling you guys, this is seriously NOTHING to panic about right now. Please don't freak out. Read my previous posts.

    Everyone just stay caaaaaalm~

    Come dance under the moonlight
‘Till you lose all sense of time--
    ‘Till you’ve lost yourself completely
    To the music so sublime

    Always continue turning
    With the never ending beat--
    Come dance under the moonlight--
Please come and dance with me

LittleKuriboh's Yugioh Abridged, of course. I have loved that one for a looooooooong time. The others I've seen are... okay.

I think Avatar Abridged is kind of funny too...

All right, but what are you all willing to give up in exchange for my power??

    Yes. Yes I am.

Fullmetal's got nothing on me. Bring it on, shorty.

That's still pretty sudden. Will you see your aunt tomorrow? You seriously need to be careful, especially with this new flu thing.

Hmmm that's odd that it's on and off... is it only when you're like running or something? Or is it when you're around something you're allergic to?

Hm, well I've had asthma all my life. I've mostly outgrown it now, thankfully, but I obviously still know how it feels. Can you describe more what it feels like? For me, when my asthma was acting up, it felt like I was trying to breathe through a Caprisun straw. Also, obviously you would be wheezing A LOT, like really loudly, and coughing.

If it feels like that, then you really need to go see a doctor. Like, now. Asthma can be really serious if you don't treat it (I've even ended up in the hospital because of it).

However, it may be something else. It seems kind of strange for you to get asthma all of a sudden like that... but, it could happen. Going to the doctor is the only way you'll know for sure.

Also, okay, I know that this will sound silly, but one of the symptoms of the Swine Flu is respiratory problems... I don't want to scare you or anything, but that is the main symptom.

Bottom line: Go see the doctor asap. Seriously, don't wait around and think that this will go away. Sure, it may just go away on its own, but you can never be too careful, right?

So right before I left for math class, I thought "Man, I really don't wanna go to this class... I wish it was cancelled. But there's no way, she doesn't cancel class... still, maybe if I wish reeeeeeeeeeeally hard..."

So I walk all the way over there, and there's a piece of paper on the door saying "MAT 214-08: CANCELLED April 27, 2009."

OH YEAH!! TAKE THAT HARRY POTTER!!

Unfortunately, apparently my shoes decided to punish me for not wanting to learn and cut into my heels, so not only did I walk the 20 minutes there and back for nothing, but now I am injured.

...Maybe I'm not magical. I'm an alchemist. Equivalent exchange, man. Equivalent exchange.
