Paramore is just another throw away generic pop-punk band whose only difference to garbage like Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco is the female vocalist.
Totally different sounds here. Of course an acoustic is going to sound more natural, it relies entirely on the hollow body to resonate the strings' vibrations. The vibrations on an electric goes through pickups, which are generally electro-magnets. The two versions of the instrument do completely different things. The acoustic sounds cleaner and more natural while the electric is more versatile. Just don't tell me to play an acoustic bass. Unless you're playing country, that is an entirely useless instrument.

They aren't that great, but then, since when are all the big metalcore acts any good? Compared to most of the garbage out there, they aren't bad, though. I'd listen to them, they just aren't a band I'll go out of my way to hear. I just wish some metalcore band would go with a name that DOESN'T sound emo.
On the flip side, I have a habit of being reluctant to check out a popular band because almost all the huge acts are no talent sell outs. Its because lesser known bands don't let the record companies make all the decisions.

Demon Hunter is one of the few metalcore bands really worth anything. As for Pillar, well, I used to listen to them casually when I was into the Christian scene.
