Random question: Can Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 really be called an exclusive when its just a port of Ninja Gaiden 2 with new features?

Motorstorm and Infinite Undiscovery are debatable on notability, I didn't know about Heavy Rain and Tales of Vesperia may be currently exclusive, but the upcoming PS3 version will say otherwise.

Of just the notable ones? Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, Blue Dragon, Chromehounds, Crackdown, Dead of Alive 4, Fable II, Forza Motorsport 2, Forza Motorsport 3, Gears of War 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Chronicals, Halo Wars, Lost Odyssey, Lost Planet 2, Magna Carta II, Project Gotham Racing 3, Project Gotham Racing 4, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, plus many XBox Live Arcade games.

On the other hand, the PS3 has Disgaea 3, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, God of War III, Gran Turismo 5, Heavenly Sword, inFamous, Katamari Forever, Metal Gear Solid 4, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, Uncharted, Uncharted 2, Valkyria Chronicals, Warhawk, White Knight Chronicals, plus a smaller selection of Playstation Network exclusives.

In total, there are 19 notable retail XBox 360 exlusives, 11 of which interest me and 17 notable retail PS3 exlusives, 10 of which interest me. Not that big of a difference, is there? And for people like me who can't play games like Left 4 Dead and Mass Effect on PC, the 360 versions of these games are available.

Incidentally, Satriani has been nominated for best rock instrumental performance almost every year since 1989 (the only three years since then he hasn't been nominated were 92, 96 and 07.) He hasn't won one yet, but generally the people that win instead deserve it just as much as he does.

Anyway, whether you hear it or not, the point is that the section Satriani is sueing for IS basically identical to his song (which was released 3 years before Coldplay's song) as proven by music theory, not just by ear. By ear, I could understand not understanding the similarities.

Also, by the way, don't try to argue sales/hits/whatever, as they don't prove anything more than how much mainstream appeal the artist has. Satriani is by and far a better and more influencial musician than the should-be nobodies in Coldplay.

Did you look at any of the links I presented? One in particular actually took a music theory analysis and got results that agreed with Satriani's claims. Same tempo, same structure and same melody.

Although I was wrong about who won (while it is quite obvious Satriani is going to win, it hasn't gone to court yet) Satriani did in fact press charges on Coldplay for copyright infringement/plagiarism of his song "If I Could Fly."

Are you seriously complaining about a game coming out a week before scheduled?

Tell that to the people who work at my local Gamestop. Though I'm not a big fan of shopping there. Even if the local staff isn't a bunch of idiots and jackasses.

Of course they don't know, not even the developer knows. Its called a tentative release date and its subject to change no matter who you ask. Until the official release is announced, it is subject to change on a whim.

How many times do I have to bring this up? Viva La Vida got Coldplay sued by Joe Satriani (a far more influential and far better musician than any of the should-be nobodies in Coldplay) for plagiarism and guess what? Satriani won. If that is considered the greatest song of the 2000s, then VH1 has NOT A CLUE what they are talking about.

It was a 6 year old PS1 game when it was remade and many people who played MGS2 never had a chance to try MGS1. Hell, I was 9 when the PS1 version was released and never had a chance to play it until Twin Snakes and even then, I didn't play it until 2006. And really, the only reason it was made was because Miyamoto thought Metal Gear on the GameCube was a good idea and Kojima agreed, thus the reason Silicon Knights (then a Nintendo second party) was teamed with Kojima's staff.

While it might not have NEEDED a remake (hell, techinally, no game "needs" a remake), Kojima did it anyway.

Oh. See I figured you were one of those idiots who say the whole game is ruined by the team taking Kojima approved liberties with the cutscenes.

Incidentally, I actually like the Twin Snakes Grey Fox more than the original Grey Fox. Hell, Twin Snakes felt better polished in the acting department all around. Better? Not necessarily. More polished and professional? Definitely.

Now that's something we should all be able to agree on.

While I do see your point, you are aware that the script for that scene is identical to the original, right? You are also aware that a few rather silly liberties taken doesn't ruin the game? Twin Snakes is almost a 1:1 recreation of the original. It is VERY rare when a remake that's that faithful is made. So it isn't 100% identical? Big deal. The fact that the storyline and majority of the scenes are completely identical, you should be rejoicing as most developers don't know how to make a truly great remake.

Seriously, this is like the anime purists who despise English acting simply because its English.

Technically, by whether or not you take Twin Snake's changes as canon or not, they never had them to begin with. Considering that, 1), their accents were gone in MGS4, 2) the lack of accents in the flashback clips in MGS4 and 3) the fact that it makes more sense for them to NOT have thick non-American accents when they are Americans, I'd say its a safe bet that the actors, Konami and Kojima himself agree.

Pokerus is extremely rare, by the way. Did not know the exact speed of training, though. Still doesn't change the unnecessity of hatching 5 eggs at a time to have THE ideal stats, nature and ability for anything outside hard core tournament play.

Isn't that what the end game legendaries are for?

Because I see the games as fun, simple RPGs? I don't care about multiplayer aside from aquiring eggs for Pokemon I want in my party.

Actually, he's wrong. While natures and abilities were introduced in Gen 3, Effort Values have been there since day 1.

Well, that's actually what I meant, after all, you can't play greats like Ratchet and Clank Future, Metal Gear Solid 4 and inFamous on 360. Really the quality of exclusives is generally equal, but the 360 actually does have more exclusives than the PS3. Granted, I could be wrong, I don't have an exact count and am playing it by eye, but still, its a small difference, either way.

Well thank you captain obvious and it remains a complete waste of time since generation 1.

Doing it right involves hours upon hours of grinding to get a hatched pokemon with ideal stats, an ideal ability and an ideal nature and fighting super low level pokemon to maximize the amount of EV points your pokemon receive until you reach level 100. Doing it the "proper" way is a collossal waste of time.

If you're playing single player, rare candy leveled pokemon can one hit literally anything outside the battle tower/frontier, if you're playing casual multiplayer, "proper" EV training doesn't come in handy as, chances are, the people you're playing with aren't going to waste their time with it. It is only useful to "properly" EV train when playing hard core tournament level.

Actually, if you think about it in terms of storyline, the names make far more sense than the official titles. In the Gold/Silver lore, the Tin Tower is the home of Ho-Oh and is said to be where dead Pokemon spirits go to rest (thus, Dusk) while the Brass (Burned) Tower was the home of Lugia and is said to be where Pokemon spirits go to be reincarnated (thus, Dawn).

Again, unless you do hard core tournament play, no you don't. Granted, it doesn't mean you should be lazy about how you raise your Pokemon, but raising 5 eggs at a time to get a specific ability/nature and only fighting super low level pokemon that gives a specific type of EV points is a collossal waste of time.
