10 seconds into the first song and I hate them.
If its such a terrible game, how did you sit through 500 matches?
And not to mention the Ostrich Hammer!
DragonForce only has speed and even then, its mostly three chord nonsense. Hermann Li and Sam Totman are very talented, but they waste it by playing the same basic stuff in every song. Their bassist may as not even be there and their vocalist is terrible live. Its been known through out the history of rock that people will play fast because they can't play well. If you want speed that takes skill, look up Yngwei Malmsteen's Rising Force and Galneryus. Patrick Stump sounds exactly like any other modern pop-punk singer. Seriously, compare Fall Out Boy to Panic at the Disco, Rufio and All Time Low. They all sound the same. Add to it the totally useless "bassist" who uses less than half of his instrument in any given song and nothing special guitarist and drummer. Their real problem is that not only do they do nothing special, what they do is the same as half of the other bands out there. Like them all you want, but at least acknowledge that they don't do anything special. Again, I reinforce my opinion that if skill and talent is ALL that is taken into account: Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains.
Actually, 80 points is a dollar.
You sound like a toruneyfag...
What he said. Though I have heard opinions that the Wii versions of Call of Duty 3 and CoD: World at War are better than their better looking PS3/360/PC counterparts.
"666, The number of the beast! 666, Hell and fire are going to be released!" Anywho, enough Iron Maiden quoting for now.
You could say that about the majority of Year Zero, as its a concept album based on a dystopic American future in which the government became oppressive, pushed patriotic propoganda and censored anything that went against ultra conservative values. The only song that doesn't fit the concept 100% is "The Warning," which is about aliens coming to Earth to punish humans for their selfishness by exterminating them.
And that is a score I agree with. As a fan of the original PS1 games, Enter the Dragonfly was the first one I didn't enjoy. Seriously, I think Enter the Dragonfly was a piece of ****.
Read the manga, its far better.
They're linked to your account. Ordinarily, the account's presence on the harddrive is enough to make it useable, but you apparently have a licencing issue that requires you to be logged in to use the content. There is a way to fix it, but I don't remember what it is.
Epics based on particular works generally tell that work's story pretty accurately (such as "The Odyssey" by Symphony X, a 24 minute epic based on Homer's "The Odyssey"), if not, it will contain elements from the story and still convey its themes, but length will prevent it from telling the whole tale (such as "Time, What is Time" by Blind Guardian, based on the film Bladerunner.) Other examples: Kamelot's albums Epica and The Black Halo, based on the story of Faust, plus the song "The Shadow of Uther" is based on the legend of King Arthur. Multiple Blind Guardian songs, such as "Traveler in Time," based on "Dune," "Fly" based on Peter Pan and the entire album "Nightfall in Middle Earth," based on "The Silmarillion." "The Poet and the Pendulum" by Nightwish, based on Edgar Allen Poe's "The Pit and the Pendulum." Many songs from a band related to Blind Guardian, Demons & Wizards, are based on Stephen King's "The Dark Tower." Coheed & Cambria's albums are all related to Claudio Sanchez's comic, "The Armory Wars." Claudio also happens to be Coheed & Cambria's vocalist. The albums and the comic share the same storyline and are part of a larger project including the comic, Coheed & Cambria and Claudio's solo project, The Prize Fighter Inferno.
Tarot was formed in 85, nine years before Nightwish and 17 years before Marco joined Nightwish.
Considering that "Planet Hell" is very reminiscent of Tarot's work...
Galneryus, abingdon boys school and X Japan for Japanese stuff.
Actually, Soundwave IS in the movie, but not as a boombox. Instead he's a communications satellite.
If they do a fourth Back to the Future, all I have to say is this: Marty's story is over, the DeLorian is in pieces, start fresh with new characters.
Even though its entirely subjective, I opt to say that it is impossible to decide on the "best" band of this decade, or any decade for that matter. There are far too many bands out there, both good and bad. Great bands like Machinae Supremacy, Galneryus and Derdian are horribly offset by garbage like DragonForce, Fall Out Boy and damn near every POS metalcore and pop-punk band that started to jump on the emo bandwagon. Too many people will argue in favor of the garbage, but even if there was no such thing as "bad," there are far too many choices to determine a "best" band. However, if technical skill is all that is taken into account, my vote goes to Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains. Buckethead has near perfect mastery of the guitar and Les Claypool has near perfect mastery of the bass, plus an insanely skilled keyboardist and an insanely skilled drummer...
Tarot is a heavy metal band led by Marco Hietala, better known as Nightwish's bassist and backup vocalist. I found out about them when I was wondering what a band with Marco on lead vocals would sound like. Turns out Tarot is actually an older band than Nightwish.
