"Death Dealer" by Yngwei Malmsteen's Rising Force
...
I probably should have commented on this with my last post, but I didn't think to. Anyway, the only reason Crash 1-3 and CTR were Playstation exclusive is because Naughty Dog is owned by Sony. Making the series multiplatform was simply a business decision and the huge quality drop has more to do with the fact that Sierra is a terrible developer.
FFVII was NOT the best and I'll tell you why. There was really nothing special about any of it. Cloud was the weakest main character in all the PS1 era games (Very much aware of the irony here, thank you). Compared to Zidane, he was an emotionless doll and compared to Squall, he as very poorly developed. In fact, the only character that was exceptionally well developed in the entire game was Red XIII, even AFTER Cloud got his own personality back (incidentally, I can't even tell the difference between when he was emulating Zack and not emulating Zack). Other games in the series, such as FFIX, X and IV, have at least most of the party showing development as the story goes on. Sephiroth is a mediocre villain (very much prepared for the flaming here, thank you) even compared to other mediocre villains such as Seymour. All he did was kill a relatively small amount of people and summon a big rock. Don't even try to argue "but he killed Aeris!" as if you paid attention to the storyline, you would that she would have died anyway. She was going to kill herself as part of the ritual to summon Holy. She left the party because she didn't want the rest of them to know what she was planning. Kuja, on the other hand, slaughtered entire cities and toppled kingdoms at an attempt at absolute power. Seymour was a madman who wished to become Sin to cause total genocide in the name of peace. Kefka manipulated a nation during the first half of FFVI and succeeded in becoming a god and destroying the world in the second half. Yes, FFVII is good, but it is by far not the best. If its you're favorite, awesome, good for you, but it is not undeniably the best.
You're missing Rush, AKA, one of the most important bands in progressive rock and heavy metal.
Love the game, hate the tourneyfagotry. "Hey, lets take this silly game that was always meant to be a lighthearted bit of fun and make it into a game that can only be enjoyed by people who memorize ever minor nuance and minute detail, as well as master glitches that completely break the game for anyone unwilling to conform to how we play the game and then ban any level that isn't either a stage with three basic platforms in a triangular format or a large flat plane with no other features, then ban one of the most distinguishing features of the game, then tell people what characters work and which ones suck based entirely on subtle nuances and minute details as if we the made the game ourselves. And lets do it all in the name of 'balance.'" Honestly, I think they should put out a "tournament edition" for these idiots that takes out items, every stage except Final Destination and Battlefield and every character except Marth, Metaknight, Fox, Shiek and Snake just to shut these idiots up. Anywho, my best character is Ike (who, ironically, is hated by tourney**** as a "weak" character based on his ability to get back on the stage if he falls off), with Pikachu as my secondary main (who, also ironically, is considered "middle tier," which is where tourney**** generally start ridiculing and ignoring characters.) I also like playing Snake, who, still ironically, is considered top tier, but I suck with.
For the record, Christian isn't a form of rock. Its simply rock that using uplifting and (sometimes) biblical themes to spread joy, happiness, goodwill and whatever other virtues Christians are pushing for at the moment. A sweeping generality, probably based on the garbage pop rap on the radio. No offense intended, but this is about as valid as a rap fan coming in and saying "rock sucks." However, if this actually ISN'T a sweeping generality and you actually do know what you're talking about, disregard this. Anywho, according to my Zune, my favorite artists would be Rush, Jethro Tull and Coheed & Cambria as those bands have the most listens (with Coheed and Tull, it was because I ended up binging on them when I added them to my library, Rush is because they actually are close to my favorite band). However, as I generally don't like to sort out my preferences by how much I like them, this is invalid seeing as I hold bands like Blind Guardian, Dream Theater and Kamelot in equal regard to Rush, Jethro Tull and Coheed & Cambria. WRONG! They do NOT have the same members, otherwise all Stone Sour's releases would use the Slipknot name as they are the more popular band. The only common member the two bands have is Corey Taylor, AKA, the only member of Slipknot worth anything. In the same vein as my comment on Christian rock, j-rock, j-pop, j-metal, j-rap, ect., are not separate genres of music and should not be treated as such. I'm sure it has something to do with people seeming to have the idea that since its from Japan, it HAS to be different. Well if that were the case, Blind Guardian, a German band, would be g-metal, Nightwish, a Finnish band, would be f-metal, Megadeth, an American band, would be a-metal and so on and so forth. In fact, two of the bands I have, X-Japan and Galneryus happen to be Japanese bands and both of them have far more western influences such as, in the case of X, various western progressive rock, traditional metal and hair metal bands and in the case of Galneryus, we have various neo-classical metal acts such as Yngwei Malmsteen and Stratovarius. Damn. Just damn. We've got numerous pop punk and nu-metal acts, at least one grunge band, some classic rock, then this. Damn, what a contrast.
It is impossible to be a metal head without liking Sabbath. I do, however, prefer their work with Dio than with Ozzy. Long Live Dio.
It doesn't stop the fanboys from whining.
That's actually a recurring joke in the series. One particular one has him cleaning, then assembling the gun before he shoots the guy standing behind him charging his power Dragon Ball Z style.
Cue Microsoft fanboys hypocritically whining about being excluded from new content.
I have a similar problem that makes it impossible to play Cave Story. My stick has a tendency to make things drift down.
My handheld game collection: DS: Advance Wars: Dual Strike Advance Wars: Days of Ruin Final Fantasy III (remake of a game never before released outside Japan) Sonic Rush Megaman ZX Megaman ZX Advent Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia New Super Mario Bros Pokemon Diamond The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Chrono Trigger (Re-translated port) Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (Remake of a game that was never before released outside Japan) Mario Kart DS GBA: Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls (Remakes) Final Fantasy IV Advance (Retranslated port) Final Fantasy V Advance (Retranslated port) Final Fantasy VI Advance (Retranslated port) Golden Sun Super Mario Advance (Port of Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario 2) Super Mario World (Port) Yoshi's Island (Port) Super Mario Bros 3 (Port of All-Stars version of Super Mario 3) Pokemon FireRed (Remake) Pokemon Emerald Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords (Port of A Link to the Past, plus new multiplayer game) The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap The Legend of Zelda Classic NES Series (Port) Megaman Zero Megaman Zero 3 Megaman Zero 4 Megaman: Battle Network 3 Megaman: Battle Network 4 Megaman: Battle Network 6 Sword of Mana PSP: Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (Port) Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness (Port) Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters Burnout Legends That's a total of 41 games. Give them a few years and the strategy will probably end up being disastorous for them. There's a reason EA learned their lesson about doing the same exact thing.
Yes, lets ignore No More Heroes, Metroid Prime 3, Super Smash Bros, Fire Emblem, Zelda, etc. and make the horribly incorrect claim that there is nothing worth playing on the Wii... Or the developers are realizing that exclusives limit their audience and potential sales? I don't know about you, but out of the 12 games I own for my 360, only 2 of them are shooters. Another horribly incorrect stereotype. The only remakes/ports I own on my DS or PSP are Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Chrono Trigger and Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness. Chrono Trigger is the only one I played heavily before getting the handheld version, FFT is because I wanted to give the game a second shot and found that I STILL don't care for it, Fire Emblem is a remake of a game that was never released outside of Japan before and the only reason I have the PSP version of Disgaea is because, until two weeks ago, I didn't have a working PS2 and I missed the PS2 version of it. Remakes and ports aren't the only things worth playing on the DS or PSP. I have just as many games for Gameboy, DS and PSP as I do for my Wii, PS2, XBox, Gamecube and 360. Handhelds and consoles are two different beasts. Both have plenty of games worth playing. Consoles have power and capabilities handhelds won't be capable of until YEARS after the console with same capability was released. At the same time, despite being less powerful, handhelds can be taken pretty much anywhere. Basically, you shouldn't ignore handhelds or consoles based on bias or popular claims.
One of my most recent additions to my collection is Jethro Tull.
A better title would be Fanservice: The Anime/Manga. The manga is ongoing and I've read the first 12 volumes. I'm a fan of Kentaro Yabuki's work and my curiosty got the better of me with this one.
I can't even begin to tell you how wrong you are.
First, space bar is your friend. Second, the DSi is a new version of the DS. Third, there hasn't been a notable GBA release since the Final Fantasy ports. Fourth, if by "back-up" you mean using the R4, that was illegal in the first place. Fifth, the Japanese price is the equivelent of US$20 more than the DS Lite and not only have they not announced pricing in other regions, it's highly doubtful that it will be much more than the current US$130. Sixth, it also has better and bigger screens. Seventh, it has downloadable software that is only playable on it. Eigth, how about you get your hands on the thing before you declare it a "piece of crap?"
