I tend towards close-range characters with a solid mix of mobile, tough, and powerful, maybe they have some crippling weakness as a check or they're just very specialized. If I had to sacrifice one of those it'd be toughness.

I know what you mean. The wonky hitboxes, the mediocre tracking, the way he zips around while localized to a single target... It all adds up to "That was cool but it didn't do s██t." Plus it doesn't have much in the way of techniques or abilities, so even the spectacle wears off after a while.
