...Point granted Guess a lil courtesy wouldn't kill me
Spoiler Yeah no Tidus is not dead, he's just manufactured by Yevon. Yevon controls the Fayth. Though they are made of dreams, so you never know - An ordinary human could harness that power as well. Come to think of it, I wonder if Yevon was ever human.
sighhhh I was trying to say you were being a dick to me but without being so blunt Thank you though glad it's out in the open air
THESE VOTALS HAVE BEEN PASSED DOWN THE ARMSTRONG FAMILY LINE FOR GENERATIONS . : tale_wind - 3 (DigitalAtlas, Hyumongasaur, soma) Cstar - 1 (Marushi) Jiku Neon - 1 (burnitup) Senpai - 1 (skull joke) Spike - 1 (Jiku Neon) TwilightBlader - 2 (TwilightBlader, Judge Sunrose) No Lynch - 3 (Cstar, Bite the Dust, Krowley) Remember, if you want to withdraw your vote you have to say Unvote in bold ;o Went ahead and took it off this time but don't forget!
I mean I just don't appreciate being contradicted and unduly criticized when I'm trying to help especially on a subject I actually study regularly
...I almost said that word for word like... can you read
No, because that implies pure frailty, while what I'm thinking of is more like a mana tank. I... didn't say blind?
Ok, so this is just off the top of my head, feel free to sample from it at your leisure. Think of it like a brainstorm buffet :L First off, I have suggestions for alternative names. Psychic and Reaper are nice but I feel like you could get away with spicing them up a lil bit. For psychics I was always partial to Esper, and as for reaper figures I'm rather fond of the Ankou lore - Check out those links at your leisure, but they pretty much mean what you'd think they mean. Mechanically... I'd see a psychic as a mana-heavy class: many abilities to take damage and dish it out magnificently, until they run out of steam - maybe things like huge telekinetic blasts, psychic barriers that absorb damage but drain MP, so on and so forth. So with Jiku's archetypes that'd probably be a striker, good damage but needs backup. I see a reaper as being a class that spreads status and debuffs, then when the enemy is crippled takes them all out in one fell swoop - things like curses, poisons, zombification, lowering attack/defense etc., and then maybe skills that hit for bonus damage on ailing foes. So I guess that's a mix of striker and controller? Idk I study a different set of archetypes :v I imagine both classes would be frail, with the psychic's only defense being her skills, so they'd want to stay on the offensive and end fights as quickly as possible. They'd likely have trouble against tanky foes or in battles of attrition, unless they get backup from other players. Hope that helps :L
Ok first off. You say this is for a story. I assume it involves game mechanics? Are these classes going to be named out loud, or are you using them in your head for convenience? And how specific do you wanna get? As in what details specifically are you looking for or what would you like to incorporate.
Fuck that last time I tried I got eviscerated
That was the magical solution. They denied it because they realized it couldn't be that easy. What they chose instead was to fight Yunalesca, to fight Sin, with their own strength - something that in and of itself seemed impossible, reinforced by Sin's destructive power and the revelation that the legendary Auron died at Yunalesca's hands. The twist was that there was nothing impossible about it; it's just that everyone was so demoralized and bitter by the end of their journey, and the teachings held such sway over them, that they didn't have the werewithal to say no and choose a life of struggle over a noble death. Yu Yevon cursed itself in the end by setting up a cycle of death that the people could not bear. In all likelihood, the Fayth would have risen up time and time again, until one of their chosen found the strength to stop the cycle. And the longer the people of Spira endured that suffering, the more they stirred with unrest - as evidenced by the Al Bhed, the Crusaders' cooperation with them, Auron's changing worldviews, etc. I found it very poetic in that way, as if Yevon collapsed under the weight of its own system. It tried so hard to enforce this idea of inevitability that, ultimately, its own death was likewise inevitable.
aw shucks u wu Real talk I saw this in my alerts and I was like WHO DID THE THING WHY WAS I NOT INVITED
