    Rather than include non-athletic sports in the Olympics, I'd like to see an olympic circuit especially for non-athletic sports. Contests of the mind deserve equal billing to contests of fitness, if you ask me. Plus, then they won't be muscling in on the classic Olympics, so fans won't have cause to complain.

    Ehh, FFVI is overrated. Especially the cast. Now VII on the other hand-/brick'dnovathat'sjustasoverrated

    Honestly, my favorite party is still FFIX. They're not perfect - A lot of characters fall by the wayside after their one big scene (e.g. Freya with Burmecia/Cleyra) - but I still feel like I got to know them better than any other team. Even in combat, they all fill such unique roles, yet they all work so well together. I can't imagine a combination of party members I wouldn't try together. Hell, even Eiko and Garnet on the same team has its merits! Considering the differences in their Eidolons, anyway.

    Runner-up for me are the teams in Disgaea 3 and 4 - Not much to be said for the combat side, since Disgaea's a bit odd in that regard, but they're the first parties in the series imo with real synergy, and it's just fun to watch them bicker, pick on each other, forge little alliances and so forth.

    Think of it like the seed of a plant. You plant it, nurture it, watch it grow and produce fruit, or flowers, or whatever else - then you harvest it, or put it on display. It gets put to use. But there are more seeds left behind. Hearts are infectious things; whatever stuff they're made of, it's the sort of stuff that grows. Sprouts up when nobody's watching.

    When a heart is extracted from a body and corrupted, it becomes a Heartless. The body left behind is a husk, a Nobody. But in that husk there may still be a seed, some small remnant of the heart, and it's not inclined to stay small.

    The Heartless aren't exactly surgeons - Their work is messy, primal. Like an animal scarfing down a juicy apple. What they consume becomes part of them, turns into nutrients for their body, but nobody ever said they eat the whole thing. Apparently, there's just enough left to grow.

    CnC appreciated of course. Especially on the sig, since it was an experiment. Will try to find sources if asked. (I keep poor track of them, but I get them all the same way so hopefully I can find them again :'D) May also be able to provide .psds for some. Unfortunately, since I've used a lot of these as my avatar in the past I'm reluctant to offer them up to others, but just lemme know if you have your eye on one and we'll see what comes of it.

    Mmmm baby. Can't decide which is my favorite, but I'm thinkin' this one right now:

    [IMG]

    Dark blues and bright reds might be my favorite color combination, next to autumn & sunset colors. I also like how it's bright, but without pure white space. It's almost kinda... spacey. I think that's the word I'm lookin' for. Idk BULLET POINT: IT'S SICK AS ALL HELL.

    Very glad you're into KLK btw ; u;

    Good to know, and maybe that'll convince me to give it another try - but yeah I cannot possibly enjoy it more than BrD's combat system

    The shit you can do with four moves in a turn is just hilarious, perfectly suits my beatdown lifestyle ;*

    Why Nidhogg Is My Patron Game (And Also Why You Should Buy It)
    • It features fencing, which is sick as all hell
    • It is sprite-based and minimalistic, two of my favorite things for a game to be
    • It acts a little like a fighter, which I love to death
    • It also has slight platforming elements, which I also love to death
    • The Nidhoggr is one of my favorite mythological creatures
    • The soundtrack was composed by Daedelus, who if you didn't know made the track I got my first username from
    • Grumps played it, Maximilian played it, DreadedCone played it
    • YOU should play it
    • $15 on Steam buy now

    Gaming section crosspost here if you want postcount for talking about it

    Nidhogg is the epic award-winning fencing tug-of-war, full of graceful acrobatics and clumsy stabs. IRL yelling and excitement may occur, in this ultimate two-player showdown of fast-paced fencing and melee attacks. Beware, advantages in Nidhogg are often fleeting, as new opponents continually spawn in your way.
    ~From the Steam page

    So yeah, this is Nidhogg. Made by Messhof, who appear to specialize in old-school, Atari-style games for the new age. Just picked this up not too long ago and it's phenomenal, more people need to hear about it.

    Basically you're a fencer fighting for the honor to be devoured by a hulking pink serpent known as the Nidhogg. Combat takes place in short skirmishes, with a mechanically simple yet mentally complex push-and-pull sort of system - and only moments after your opponent is defeated, s/he respawns only a few feet away. You must defeat a gauntlet of your foe to reach the end of your path, where you are cheered on and chomped on in celebration of your victory.

    However simple it appears to be, this game has it where it counts: The gameplay is as fun as it gets, and they're not kidding when they say you'll be shouting at your monitor. Features online and offline play, a single-player arcade mode, a tournament mode for groups of four or more, and achievements. Keyboard and gamepad controls are available, and they both function well.

    Soundtrack by Daedelus, who if you didn't know was the inspiration for my first username on this site, Nouveau Nova. So obviously I'm gonna have a special attachment to this game ; u;

    15 bucks on Steam right now, and well worth the asking price. GO GET IT SO I CAN THROW SWORDS THROUGH YOUR EYEBALLS.
