Remember, remember, the fifth of November, but always the motive forgot I know of no reason, the hero in season, is some Spanish Catholic twat #ruinseverything
omg you delightful little nerd
I appreciate it :L And yeah I'm not even gonna give him the satisfaction. What a twat.
You're probably right and I am just dumb :'D ty Yeah, not the first time Disney's gotten that complaint. Which is why I hope they finally ponied up the dough when people saw that Hikaru didn't intend to return. Otherwise it'd just feel... tainted. D:
Ah ah ah ah. Stop. Right there. Necessary? No. Not in the least. None of that is necessary. The story remains unchanged, the plot still functions, nothing vital goes unanswered - It's just fluff for people who'd like it. The Lingering Sentiment makes no impression on the plot of KH2, or even on series canon, because he exists anyway and Sora doesn't learn anything new from him that he wouldn't have learned otherwise. None of that secret footage tells us anything we'd miss if we never knew it existed. The Roxas fight? Great addition - not necessary. And the Ansem Reports are just more of the same. The game was complete before, and the assertion that it retroactively wasn't because the creators found room to stuff some more things in is, again, absurd. I could find more things to stuff in any game, that doesn't make it incomplete. Again? Rude. Assumptive and rude. I am not "blind by rage," which is kind of an awkwardly constructed phrase to begin with. You sound much angrier from where I'm standing. You're... not around much, are you? Hatok and I have nothing to do with each other. We quarrel more than we pal around. But you happen to be arguing a point against him in which I think you are ostensibly, woefully, wrong. I also notice you're arguing it like a hooligan, so I stepped in. To the one valid point here... I mean, they could just import. Seems a bit much to spring for a whole big HD re-release if that's the only valid reason left. It made perfect sense. And that's really all you deserve for your rudeness: a flat denial. Read it again if you don't understand, I picked those words carefully and I shouldn't have to simplify. Now if you wanna discuss this like a civil chap, maybe we can; otherwise I'm not gonna derail the thread any farther over your behavior.
First off, rude? Also, wrong. The versions that originally released in the U.S. were complete, functional, whole games; they did not need bonus content and they definitely did not need a retroactive graphics upgrade to be considered complete. The mere suggestion is absurd and it borders on offensive. Is every game not rendered in HD somehow incomplete? Not a full experience? Missing something vital? And what exactly is added to these games in Final Mix that contributes to the story? What changes it so irrevocably that its absence renders the experience lacking?
I believe it was her husband who said that Disney doesn't pay enough. Or was it her father? I forget. Pretty sure about the Disney bit though. Either way, if she actually is returning, I hope it's not because she caved in and settled for less. Gal's gotta earn a living, and she deserves a fortune.
Instant thumbs-down, or can you endure if it gets better? A lot of webcomics get their start when the artist isn't very good - some even intended as practice - and end with jaw-dropping scenery and visually charming characters. What's more, many comics start with a simplistic premise or with no clear goal in mind, and ultimately settle into a consistent and enjoyable narrative, or gradually become more complex until they bloom into storytelling masterpieces. Question is, can you stand the wait? Are you all right with a comic that takes time to get its bearings, or do you stick to stuff that's solid from the get-go? What comics, if any, were you previously unable to get into because of a slow start? Do you consider it worth the trouble if the story picks up and the artist learns a thing or two about anatomy? Do you ever prefer to just skip the mediocre bits and get right to the good part? Or do you find a comic's humble beginnings to be delightful in their own way?
I think I read copypasta like that on /v/ once
I VOLUNTEER TO SHOUT DUMB INAPPROPRIATE COMMENTARY OVER IT "Nova no one wants you to do that" OK I'LL JUST DO THE TYPING EQUIVALENT OF THAT IN THE COMMENTS "Nova seriously" SNERT FART JOKE JYNX IS RACIST HORK
Fair enough. I jes' wouldn't repeat that quote outta context, heh.

...That... That's motivational to you? ... O_o
Sheesh... Sorry but don't ever take up writing, guys. :'D To answer that question, we need to answer two more: (1) Is there a way for a person to be permanently dispatched in the Kingdom Hearts universe, and (2) would Xehanort be inconvenienced by death. Because really, if you can kill him a dozen times and he'll just come back in another form, why bother, right? The first answer seems obvious to me. Presumably, nothing lasts forever in KH; people age, thus implying they can die of age, and some characters have not been shown to return after their defeat. So what keeps people coming back? Well, we know that when a heart is consumed by darkness, it becomes a Heartless; you could say a death takes place, where the original person is killed and reconstituted into another form. Further, what remains of their body may be animated and become a Nobody, if any will remains. Both of these transmigrations have conditions: To make a Heartless, you need darkness, and to make a Nobody, you need will. Presumably, a person without the will to live at the time of their death will not leave anything behind, and if their heart remains untainted they will not become a Heartless. Matter is never created nor destroyed, but it rarely holds still for long. The KH story has gotten us used to a strange set of rules, because it deals with a strange set of people; but if you ask me, the KH universe at large can't have that many people with the will to go on after death, or enough wickedness in their hearts to corrupt their soul and revive them in a terrifying new form. Further, even in the case of the main series cast, they all have their limits. I imagine if you keep up the pressure, eventually they will die and be unable to return. Xehanort in particular pursues his goal with almost dogmatic fervor, and until he is forever stripped of his drive and ambition, I doubt he'll truly be killable. In less words: Break the spirit, break the man. As for the second question: Would it bother him to die? Well, that depends on what he truly wants. We can claim whatever seems obvious, but if I'm not mistaken he's never really said it outright. We know he's orchestrating the battle that will forge the X-Blade, which begets Kingdom Hearts, so we can assume he wants to open that path. He is systematically replacing the consciousnesses of every Seeker of Darkness with his own, implying he wants absolute control over his side of the fight. Put those together and we can infer he wants the absolute, undisputed right to control Kingdom Hearts. But in the end we still don't know why. Does Xehanort simply have an insatiable appetite for power? Does he want to rid the world of its ills by unifying its consciousness? Is he orchestrating this battle just to get all of the world's darkness in one place, then lose to the hero, and seal it away forever? (Unlikely, but considering my sister story has a villain like that and I've already predicted some ridiculous shâ–ˆt before I'm letting the epileptic trees grow where they're planted at this point.) And, the question you're probably asking, who cares? Well, anyone who wants to beat him should care. Know your enemy, know yourself, etc. If you know what makes him tick, you can figure out how to make him stop ticking. Otherwise you might just play right into his hands. I think part of the story of Kingdom Hearts III will be finally elucidating just why Xehanort wants into Kingdom Hearts so badly, be it personal gain, some radical reform of universal law, or otherwise. Once the crew knows that, they can end him. The exact weapon or spell or gadget they use is trivial; at that point it's only a matter of will.
Dunno if you're still having trouble with this but I thought I'd throw in my two cents. The real killer with the gauntlet is that every enemy is a problem target, so it's hard to prioritize. But you have to stay on the attack, because if a room full of them gets you on the defensive you're never gonna get off it. Figure out which you find more annoying, the Invisibles or the Angel Stars, then pick one, lock on and stay on that sucker 'til it's dead. Try to start attacking one when the others are far away; if you get the right rhythm, none of them will be able to stop you from slaughtering their mate. If you let an Invisible get away, it goes ghost and starts chomping at your life bar; if you let an Angel Star get away, it joins the friggin' baker's dozen of them spamming energy balls and tornadoes from the far end of the room. That said, if an Angel Star starts blocking, better to just magnetize to another target; the time spent waiting for it to become vulnerable again is not worth it in the least. And because of that I personally would recommend starting with the Invisibles. But again, depends what's more annoying, an enemy who constantly clashes with you or one that moves like a gnat and hasn't heard of hitstun. As I will recommend in nearly every circumstance, spamming Strike Raid works wonders in a tight spot. That is the only time where I would say don't bother sticking to one target; keep the lock off and just let it rock in whatever direction it wants to go. You're more likely to clip two, three, even four targets that way, which can only make your job easier. Aside from that, just keep training, keep learning, and manage your items carefully, and you'll get it eventually. Unless you already have, in which case - good job! :L
I can't decide if Xemnas is harder or easier than Sephiroth, so I will tentatively say they're about even; while Xemnas doesn't hit quite as hard per strike, he is much more aggressive and he has a much wider variety of attacks. As mentioned, he has a weakness to Gravity and several of the new finishers (Gravity Break and Zantetsuken work for sure). Whenever he's hit with one of these attacks, he's stunned - but only long enough for a three-hit combo, so don't bother equipping any Combo Plus abilities. Air combos are best, as they are faster and landing cancels your recovery. For other equipment, I'd recommend you go in with Strike Raid and a full stock of Elixirs, as you can use these to yolo his last health bar - maybe last two if you play the best game of your life. Swap out the Elixirs for Megalixirs if you're having trouble; keeping your teammates healthy means Xemnas has more targets, and if he turns his attention to them for even a few seconds it could be the difference between life and death. The first time he uses his little force choke has a very specific window, and you can trigger it with a combo finisher. Once you've depleted one of his life bars, every time you do a combo finisher just back up as far as you can; with any luck he'll whiff and you'll be safe for a while longer. After that though he could decide to punish you with it any time you miss an attack or try to bumrush him, so be careful. The less of those he lands, the better. I believe I beat him at Lv80 on Proud with no Second Chance, so if you're not shy about using SC you should be able to beat him at... what, 60 on Normal? Let's go with that.
It's not exactly certain what's holding Ventus together at this point; it may be that Castle Oblivion is preserving a memory of him, rather than his full and complete self, thus freezing him in time. As for Aqua, yeah, I think we're going with Dark World Shenanigansâ„¢. Sad to say Below is probably right and they just didn't think of these things at the time, because the Land of Departure crew was basically retconned into the series.
The thing is, at some point it's gonna be a free-for-all, and that means fun fun fun because there will be tag teams, people will gang up on people or have 2v2s or 3v3s. That in mind, here are a few of my predictions - some of which are brazenly stupid and/or unlikely, because after basically writing the ending of KH3D before it came out and totally calling the "Nobodies have hearts" thing I have NO FEAR OF BEING WRONG. Additional Lights Roxas & Xion - I think it's entirely possible Sora and Ven will cooperate to try and imbue them with their own distinct bodies and identities, in which case they may arrive in time to join the fight. Terra - As much as Master Xehanort makes a big deal about exactly seven lights fighting exactly thirteen darknesses, once the battle proper begins I doubt the head count will stay the same. At some point, someone's going to free Terra. And in the process they might be lucky enough to find... Eraqus - Now this one's a stretch, but technically he is hanging out with Terra. So if there's hope for little big, there's hope for big big, right? Prereq for this one would be, the rest of Eraqus is actually around to receive his heart. But hey, you never know. Additional Darknesses Lexaeus, Zexion, Vexen - Considering it was not in the plan for Xemnas's trusted cabinet to get iced at Castle Oblivion, I imagine he'd still want them around if he had the choice. And since they were all in the same place when they awoke from their little Nobody nightmare, it wouldn't be hard to 'Nort them again. Marluxia - Would Xehanort make the mistake of trusting him twice? Depends how desperate he is for the win. Would Marluxia jump at the chance to seize power for himself yet again? Absolutely. The prophecy says seven and thirteen will clash, it never said anything about the thirteen seeing eye-to-eye. He's strong - ergo, he's a candidate in my eyes. Cross your fingers, kids. Sora, Riku, & Kairi vs. Asod a.k.a. Destiny Islands Grudge Match 201X. This is the guy who first got them all stranded from home, and I imagine they've all still got a bone to pick with him. Plus it would be really heart-warming to see Sora and Kairi step in to help Riku tame his darkness. Sora, Riku, & Kairi vs. Xemnas If the above doesn't happen, then this one almost certainly has to. Not only prolonging the search for each other but also attempting to drive them even farther apart, Xemnas has done more than enough to make the main three hate him in equal measure. Then again, maybe that's his plan. Maybe when he talked about the power of hatred, he meant other people's hatred. DUN DUN DUNNNN. Nah prolly not Roxas, Xion, & Lea vs. Xemnas a.k.a. The Vengeance that Never Was. Similar situation to the above, he's responsible for pretty much all of their misfortune and it's time to settle the score. Plus everyone kept telling Roxas he wasn't ready to fight Xemnas, well, now he's got backup. Excuses officially invalid. Ventus & Aqua vs. Terranort a.k.a. We Can Bring Back the LIIIIIIIIIIII-IIII-IIII-IGHT~. I mean this one's a given, they've gotta bring Terra back at some point, or at least try. That and we really, really need a reason to re-use and remake Dismiss, because that track is just... NNF. Right in the heartstrings. Master Eraqus vs. Master Xehanort Now of course this one's provisional to my Eraqus prediction coming to fruition, but if it does happen then there's no way we can let the battle conclude without the O.G.s going toe-to-toe in a free and pure light vs. dark slugfest. I doubt Eraqus still wants to invite MX over for tea and exams after everything that's come between them. Marluxia vs. Xemnas Another which is contingent upon my predictions proving true, but now I notice that out of all the 'Norts, Xemnas seems to have painted himself with the biggest bullseye. Everybody has it out for this guy, adversaries, subordinates, you name it. Guess that's what you get for proclaiming the virtues of anger and enmity and spouting pseudo-Darwinian gobbeldygook all the time. Marluxia vs. Master Xehanort Now this one directly ties in to the last one: I imagine Marluxia catches Xemnas at a vulnerable point, maybe he's been fighting for a while, maybe he's just not paying attention - and defeats him. Master Xehanort, annoyed, steps in and obliterates Marluxia in an utter curbstomp of a battle. Just to demonstrate how truly terrifying MX can be, because let's face it, he could use the press; the only serious battle he entered in the series to date, he intended to lose. Riku vs. Lexaeus & Zexion Again, I have to be right about the returning members, but this one seems fitting. "Remember us?" Lea vs. Vexen Fire vs. ice. Who doesn't wanna see that? Not to mention, if Vexen does make a return appearance he'll likely be out for blood, and there's no better place to start than your killer. Imagine if he tried to make an Axel-fied clone of Lea on the spot. Old vs. new, body vs. Nobody. How sick would that be? Yen Sid vs. Maleficent This one's kind of a side battle, but I sincerely hope Maleficent doesn't become irrelevant in the final chapter. What's more, I wanna see Yen Sid fight. I don't care if he's over the curve, plenty of former badasses have come out of retirement with splendid results, and he can't have earned the title of master for nothing. Sora vs. Asod, Xemnas, & Master Xehanort This is what I imagine the final battle looking like: a gauntlet of Sora's deadliest foes ending with the man who started it all. Asod and Xemnas may even tag-team him, but MX will definitely be a one-on-one fight for all the marbles. Xigbar vs. Everybody Xigbar wins.
