Yeah, that's one of the reasons I liked Days. His whole leaving scene seemed really generic in KHII, and it was nice to put some feeling behind that. With regards to the time travel, there are two things I'm thankful for: (1) Because of the way he claims it works, Xehanort can no longer use it. (2) He was following a strict set of guidelines as to how he affected the timeline. He couldn't just change whatever he wanted. Establishing those two allows him to be a looming presence in the entirety of the series, without raising the question of why he hasn't already won if he has this immense power at his disposal. He wasn't really aiming to win, just to set events in motion that would yield the desired result. Maybe there were variables, such as which characters would become the seekers of darkness, but there was never a chance for him to drastically alter the outcome of the series thus far. Not only can he not just appear on the Destiny Islands and end the heroes' lives, he doesn't want to; he needs them for the final battle, otherwise he can't get what he wants. It's a nice way to make him intimidating without undermining the efforts of the rest of the cast, and it shows at least some amount of forethought, for which I'm thankful.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I SAID I feel like the grammatical mistake here makes this truer than what you likely intended to say

STUFF AND THINGS Loketests are beginning for arcades. Early build confirms the return of Potemkin, May, Venom, and Chipp Zanuff in addition to those appearing in the trailer1. Millia Rage and Sol Badguy will also be playable in this initial build, but it seems Ky Kiske and ZATO-1/Eddie will not. Confirmation that pretty much every GG mechanic is back and as beautiful as it's ever been2. One interesting tweak to Dusts: You can now jump after your high-flying opponent, as before, or quick-dash towards them along the ground. Interesting response to the use of Dusts competitively, as some characters find it more practical to use that launch time for set-ups, ground combos, oki, etc. Clashes are also being expanded upon with two new mechanics: Repel, which occurs when a "strong" attack collides with a "weak" one and forces the weaker attacker backward, and Danger Time, which happens when two "strong" attacks collide and causes a sort of stand-off, with the first one to land a hit receiving a Super Counter that leads into huge damage. Not sure how weak or strong attacks will be classified, but it sounds like an interesting twist on the clash combo vids of yore. Xrd is currently being considered for next-gen release3. Spoiler: Screenshots Roman Cancel Clash (left) and Repel (right) Danger Time Sorry 'bout the small size. Maximillian commentary
I dunno about that. Melee weapons are underwhelming against special infected. They kill Chargers slower than guns, they make it harder to kill Hunters before they get a pounce, they put you in the Spitter's puddle and the Boomer's explosion, they're hard to kill a Jockey with while pushing him, and they don't even reliably sever Smoker tongues. Not to mention killing a Tank or Witch with melee is basically all bragging rights and no practicality. They can potentially clear a zombie horde, but they also leave you with a dinky pistol when downed, so they can't even clear hordes when it matters most. Contrast the magnum, which has better utility in killing special infected, usually one-shots ordinary ones, and stays with you when you get knocked over. Melee weapons mostly work in specific loadouts where they fill a niche, or on teams otherwise lacking them. Beyond that, not having a back-up gun can be crippling in later levels of most campaigns, particularly Dark Carnival and the DLC campaigns where it's easy to get swamped and spend a lot of ammo taking out several hordes back-to-back.
It's not a war sahsdfshjsdgshgksjh And I'm sorry but it's premature and immature to say anybody's won at this point. PS2 was an underwhelming hunk of plastic on release, and look where it went from there.
So is anybody just not interested in taking a side, or even making a war of it? ...No? Just me, got it. I want to own a PS4 and Wii U eventually. Maximillian also got me interested in the new Killer Instinct, so at the very least there's some incentive for me to consider the merits of an Xbone in my house. I'd just rather not miss out on any of the experiences coming down the pipeline. ...Well, except for the Ouya, which is a glorified mobile console and doesn't interest me in the slightest. :v
