Then I wonder how he was planning to count them among his number in the final battle. They'd have to return to their proper times before long. That leads me to think that the union ceremony in 3D was supposed to serve some purpose beyond getting all the seekers of darkness in one room... which I already kind of suspected anyway. That may also mean that we're going to see quite a few more Organization members than first expected return as seekers, and bearers of Xehanort's heart.

I reeeeally want to see what Cat has to say about this
Yo what the fuck hahahaha You figure they'd at least go with the dress from that time he crossdressed
My cat will howl like a fucking dying cow until I let him in my room. Then he will pace in front of the door and continue meowing as if he wants out. Today I decided to prop the door open with a box so he could go in and out at his leisure. And then this happened. I feel as if this is vaguely symbolic. THE PROPHECY HAS BEEN FULFILLED HE WHO RESTS UPON TWILIGHT HAS BEEN REVEALED TO US
Actually, I think the system should be even more restricting than in KHII. Honestly, why are you giving me a choice when I can eventually equip everything anyway? Instead of being a war room where I sit and meditate on the best strategies and tools for a given situation, the Abilities screen eventually becomes just another tedious micromanagement menu that I have to update periodically. BbS and 3D missed a brilliant opportunity to add depth to the combat when they gave you the ability to set your own elemental resistances... then allowed you to max them all out. Make me choose, Squeenix! Force me to decide if I want to be impervious to this guy's icicle attacks or not get totally obliterated by that one chick and her Dark Firaga spell that takes up the whole screen! You're an RPG company from the analog age, why are you so bad at combat design?! "Sameness is tiresome; variety is pleasing." I'd prefer to take the hit to my AP and see each player develop their own ability set that they can't live without, rather than have so much freedom that everyone looks the same in the end. It makes the game more fun to play and to watch. Of course, I sincerely hope the abilities themselves are not taken from Kingdom Hearts II, as all of those abilities sucked and I left half of them unequipped because it actually made the game easier to play. The special attacks come to mind in particular. I miss Blitz... So simple, so efficient.
I listen to things that give me an adrenaline kick. Can't stay sad while the bASS CANNON FIRES WEEUWOOOOOOOOO
KHII. I didn't actually struggle with any of them, so KHII takes it by default for being the only one I will consistently quit out of boredom. Although I recall BbS getting pretty dicey during certain fights for which I was ill-equipped.
Nobody on this forum should need a guide. You have access to a forum full of people who've played the game. Ask us if you're stuck! I will be more than happy to help with boss strats, as we all know I am one of the best KH players on the boards-*brick'd*
I'm sincerely glad that everyone took the time to break it down, but really, the problem is solved from the second Master Xehanort says this: "All of this was decided. My twelve selves would welcome me here on this day, when I would return a complete person. It is the future which lies beyond my sight." As of KH3D, he's hit the end of his time traveling shenanigans. He preordained everything up to that moment to ensure not only that the final clash between light and dark occurred, but that he was at the helm of the dark forces; and now he's spent. No more stable loops. No more placing himself at temporal landmarks. No nothing. Now it's just him and his many clones, rarin' to duke it out with the guardians of light. Everyone who was jumping through time is done as of the end of Dream Drop Distance. They're done their jobs and slotted neatly into the timeline, with little to nothing left unaccounted for. The only thing that confuses me is why Master Xehanort (implicatively) refers to his elderly form as his "complete" self. You'd think he would reserve that title for the version of him possessing Terra. The only thing I can figure is that the elderly Master Xehanort we see in 3D is the one possessing Terra, and the possession is simply so complete that he no longer needs to retain Terra's form. Seekernort did something similar to Riku towards the end of the first Kingdom Hearts, eventually gaining enough strength to take on a unique form and obscure that of his host. So it can happen. But then that raises the question of how Xemnas and Seekernort can exist alongside that version, who is the whole and complete form of those constituent parts. Well... It doesn't so much raise the question as magnify it; the question was already raised, since Sora slapped the sh#% out of both of those guys already and they should be dead. In fact, that was clearly the catalyst for Master Xehanort's resurrection. But then... why are they still around? Is Xehanort that much of a baller, that he can just recreate them with a thought? Or do they come from something - or someone - else?
Unfortunately, in the early stages of Riku's story you kinda just have to power through, like the ornery chef said. It helps if you combine your cards before attacking; they don't have to result in sleights, but a normal combo with a power of 15 is more likely to go through than three individual strikes with a power of 5 each. And if you have any 0's at all, be sure to ration them out; only use them to stop attacks you can't afford to take, like opposing sleights.
I can't stand Lord of the Castle. Honestly, I think it sounds generic and lame, like it could belong to any KH boss. Scythe of Petals is more uniquely Marluxia's, and it still has an air of finality about it that makes it a good climactic battle theme. Of course I love Graceful Assassin as well. In fact, those first two themes are some of my favorites in the series, where Lord of the Castle is one of my least favorites. Funny how that turns out.
I'm sure at least a few of you have heard of this one... About halfway through the plot of KHII, as you're gearing up to go to places like Halloweentown and the Pride Lands, a new episode becomes available in... I think it's Twilight Town? I believe it's Saïx's introduction that kicks it off, but I'm not 100%. Any rate, it's the point of the game where you start backtracking through all the worlds. Thing is, you can set plot-sensitive events in motion before you've visited certain areas - which will then become locked before you've ever had the chance to go there, and must be unlocked again by re-treading the first batch of available worlds. And when you finally make it back and visit the worlds properly, you can potentially play through the entirety of the story there, first visit and second all at once! Has anyone ever had this happen? Did it give you a different result, like outright skipping the events of the first visit? Have you ever been unable to continue playing as a result of this "glitch?" Did you get it to happen with different worlds?
This came outta nowhere but LET'S POST IN IT ANYWAY WOOP The fight with Demyx is one of the only times in KHII where I consistently enjoy the gameplay, especially on Proud. It's a challenging fight, not an obnoxious one. Demyx is a competent zoner from a distance and has some damaging close-range strikes to boot. You have to pick your moment and always mind your distance from him, or else you get a water jet up your arse for the trouble. The AI makes you think, which is rare in this game. The only annoying thing about it is how easy it is to cheese him out with Lightning, as it instantly stuns him. If you opt not to use it, though, it becomes a very fun fight.
A lot of people have said this or something like this already - Jim Sterling and Miles923 jump to mind - but I think an equally big part of MS's abysmal performance before and during E3 has to do with the left hand not knowing what the right hand was doing. A famous-overnight example is Xbox Support being totally baffled by the absence of a power button on the One and not knowing what to tell people asking about it, but there are many others. Too many people making statements, too many scandals on and off the show floor across all days... It smacks of a panic in the Microsoft ranks. Maybe they didn't know what was going on, maybe nobody could give the PR people instructions fast enough, maybe everyone just disagreed on which features needed to stay or go and what should be said about the system. The sad part is that this probably isn't going to stop with Don Mattrick jumping ship; it'll naturally calm down since the conference is over and everyone's gone home, but will it vanish completely? Doubt it. And I sincerely doubt the new games division head has the werewithal and leadership qualities to wrangle the confusion. Microsoft just got caught looking terribly unprofessional for a matter of weeks, and that's not an easy wound to mend. Just the same, in times like this we have to be thankful for baby steps, and Mattrick's behavior was poisonous for the company. I maintain that I don't want to see MS's games division go under, for the sheer fact that there are nice, affable people who love the Xbox and all the games on it, and they deserve a good gaming experience. Hel, I retain some love for early Xbox; it was host to a couple of Dreamcast IPs, including one of my favorite games of all time. I don't want a whole console to drop, even if I hate the people making it. I just wish those people would get the f#%& out of the way and let it breathe. As far as I'm concerned, any whole or half-step in that direction is worth the celebration.
