So uh. Little off topic for this thread but. Just noticed that I totally called it. I even called the bit where its announcement was premature, actually. Though we did technically see gameplay. But it sounds like they're pretty set on 1.5 being the main course for this expo. Oh well, any news is good news.

Have you ever heard me talk about Dark Souls you'd swear I hate it Spoiler: I'm putting this in a spoiler tag because I know you were screwing around but I started typing like you were serious and people should have the right not to receive that noise if they don't want to We're hard on the games we love because we play them long enough to know them intimately and see their flaws down to the finest detail, it's only the rare person who can snap themselves out of that garbage and consciously say, well, despite its faults it's still great and I still love playing it The SMT series in general has problems with murderous RNG (including unpredictable and unfair instagibs) and bosses who null basically anything cool you can think to do to them until you're reduced to buffs/debuffs and playing "Find the weakness" over and over, but in spite of that it's still a fun series thanks to its one-of-a-kind aesthetic, eclectic score, unique gameplay and fair-to-extensive replay value The difficulty is a prime source of complaints, but the bits of the game that are legitimately challenging and not just cruel make it a fight worth fighting, and when you finish you feel like you've conquered a mountain, not just checked off another item on the to-do list I'm surprised one of the horse freaks hasn't come in here yet Doesn't one of the horses say some dumb joke about percents

Actually you're all wrong It's not noticeably a vanity movie (aside from the premise, which would be stupid to count), and there are little to no brainless pop-culture references And there is nothing wrong with crude humor, I loved The Haunted World of El Superbeasto so clearly I'm not averse to dicks & butts The problem with This Is the End is it is dark and gruesome and way too fucking morbid to be funny in the least I mean there's black humor and then there's James Franco being denied entry to Heaven mid-ascension because he started bragging about it and getting his nose bitten completely off his face by Danny McBride There are also like seven jump scares and a lot of horrific and depressing fridge logic and by the time I got out of the movie I felt sick and miserable and I could feel my heart thumping in my chest and it was just not a fun time at all Also may we briefly pause to reflect on the fact that, between the movie with Michael Cera in it and the one with Jesse Eisenberg in it, despite the fact that the one with Michael Cera is making fun of Michael Cera, the one with Jesse Eisenberg is still way better TL;DR FUCK THIS IS THE END IT NEARLY GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK GO SEE NOW YOU SEE ME INSTEAD FILM OF THE YEAR ALL YEARS
