...Well... The photo captions sure do work in it. Fine, I'll try it out for a while. I guess we can call this fixed? In a roundabout way, but.
Mario had a great run for a while. Of course SMB3 and Super Mario World were friggin' classics, is it even possible to not like them? To be honest, I haven't played much of 64, or Sunshine, or Galaxy, but knowing what I know about the format and having sampled a little of each, I'm not turned off to them. It just happens I haven't had time to sit down with them and really dig in. It's these New SMB games that really bug me. For two big reasons: (1) 2.5D is ugly 99.9% of the time, and this is not the .1%; (2) If you're gonna make a precision platforming game, the controls need to be precise, not floaty and slidey and crazy unpredictable. The number of NSMB videos in the world dedicated to spills and bloopers are a testament to how difficult it is to land those jumps. I liked it better when Nintendo used the Mario brand to try crazy new ideas, knowing they'd meet with at least some success because, hey, it's-a-Mario! How can he fail? But they've pretty well stopped doing that entirely, and now I just yawn when I see the new titles. There are too many platformers in the world, even today, that surpass that old-school Mario magick Nintendo keeps trying to recapture. Dustforce, They Bleed Pixels, Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe, VVVVVV, Super Meat Boy... The list goes on.
I think it was more to reinforce how Roxas felt like an outsider everywhere. The Cheshire Cat's advice, if delightfully mad, would be sound for anyone else - but the rules were different for Roxas. He was different. And it may have turned out that the Nobodies did have hearts, but it was the feeling of lacking, of longing to be someone else, to belong somewhere, that drove many of them.
It eats up too much CPU. If you can tell me that's fixed, I might consider it. Firefox runs notably better with multiple tabs open, so that's a point in its favor, but on average it would always slow down everything else I was doing at the same time until I closed it. E: Nah, that didn't do it either. Christ, I guess I might have to switch... This is gonna be annoying...
Mm... No, that didn't work either. Agh. What is wrong with you Chrome.
...
Of course they are, but we should be able to understand how things work well enough to follow the story without having to jump from system to system following all of these little benchmarks and writing down everything we see. Spin-offs are supposed to be optional - an add-on to the original work, not necessary to comprehend it. This is what causes so many people to get lost.
I hate them both, so I'd prefer to find an actual solution, but thanks.
...Ok SOMEBODY NEEDS TO TELL ME HOW MUCH THE PS4 IS GONNA BE OR I CAN'T CONTINUE THIS CONVERSATION BECAUSE I'VE SEEN LIKE SIX DIFFERENT REPORTS AND THEY'RE ALL DIFFERENT NUMBERS
GOD IT LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL I JUST PLEASE LET IT BE AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT IF IT'S NOT ;_; ARE YOU BACK SONIC ARE YOU HERE TO STAY DON'T SCREW WITH ME Goofy name aside, I like the idea behind the Parkour system. And the faithfulness to divergent paths is of course a plus for me. Not to mention the more precise controls, the secrets... Ugh this game. It's like if Jesus went "Guys it's ok, I'm on the way," and I'm just sitting here going IT BETTER NOT BE A HOAX.
Gods, it's been a lifetime since I opened IE... but that seems to do the trick. So I'm only getting the problem in Chrome. What could cause Chrome to flake out like that on my end? Any way to troubleshoot that? E: Tried refreshing in Chrome, that doesn't appear to help.
...Well. I can safely say this has my attention. L.A. Noire with a supernatural overlay, no confusing interrogation scenes, a focus on stealth, and a protagonist who doesn't accuse every sniveling woman he meets of being a murderer? Strap me in and call me along for the ride.
Yeah, so uh... this is odd. Ever since the update where they moved all the buttons and ext. links to the bottoms of dashboard posts, I can't caption photos. Everything else works fine; I can upload a photo, add tags, set it to publish at a certain time or in a queue, fiddle with the advanced settings and set a click-through link until my fingers fall off. Everything checks out except the text box for captions. The uh... the you know, the highlighter, the thing your pointer turns into when you hover over text? That shows up. What the Hel is that called? I just realized I don't know. But I click on the box, and it doesn't bring up a typing prompt. It doesn't accept input of any kind. Just sits there. Please tell me Tumblr didn't do this on purpose, else I'll be really confused. It's just a glitch, or a kink in the update, right? Oh, I'm using Chrome, if that matters. Haven't tried it in anything else yet.
All right, now, it's one thing to go for the simple answer, and quite another to stop trying. Anyway, liberal translation or no, the timing and circumstances remain odd. Good point. Sora has his princess. Wonder if she'll soon be queen... ...Does the Cheshire Cat count-*brick'd* I used to think that wasn't Mickey, too - either that the answer they gave was a lie, or Nomura hadn't thought hard enough about it. But it rings true when you consider Mickey says a lot of those things in person later. Now I think it's more interesting if it was Mickey, because that puts him in a situation that no one can explain, and none of the characters have asked him about it. Sora's the only one who would know, and he may not even remember. It's starting to look more and more like the good king knows what manner of storm waits on yonder horizon, and has been working tirelessly to batten down the hatches. Hel, who knows. Anything's possible. But I think it'd be more poetic if he really was just a child. Literally poetic, because it was said in the Kingdom Hearts creation myth that, after the Keyblade War tore the worlds apart, children rebuilt them with the light left in their hearts. Historically, children have played great roles in the KH mythos as creators, and as guardians of light.
It's ok I do that with my actual mouth so I feel u I have learned when speaking to just make jokes all the time or shut up That's another good trick That's a lie it's a terrible trick and I am a bad role model Oh good then I'm writing you correctly in KHVUL I was worried about that
F$%& NOMURA WHY DO YOU DO THIS WHY DO YOU EVEN TALK AT INTERVIEWS JUST LET PR HANDLE IT OR SOMETHING YOUR CEREMONIES ARE RETARDED *deep breath* I guess... I guess they're necessary then. God that's a crock. Important details like that shouldn't be laid out in 2nd-string spin-offs half the fanbase haven't played. It's like, what, does the plot have a required reading list now?
