    MAX # KIDS: 8

    MAX # PARTICIPANTS: ???

When I run a role play, I run it like a role playing game. The number of players I allow means a lot to me. That does not mean, however, that people who fail to secure a slot for playing the game will not be able to participate. I fully intend to call upon anyone who expresses an interest when I need someone to perform NPC shenanigans. I don't want anyone left out c:

So, for instance, if Jack is up to shenanigans and he sends DD off to run shenanigans parallel to his own (a.k.a. parallenanigans©), then I may start messaging people from a list, asking if anyone would like to play DD. He will still be on a predetermined track I've laid out for him, but if he interacts with any characters or otherwise requires unique on-the-fly input, then the volunteer will take care of that.

Also, I'd like everyone who's playing (which I believe now includes FKB and Fearless?) to start thinking about obstacles in their home or daily life that might prevent them from jumping right in to Sburb. You know, like John having to go through his Dad, Rose having a faulty internet connection, or Dave losing his copy and having to fight his Bro for a new one. Some people might be able to dive right in, but I'd like there to be some urgency to it for a handful of the characters.

If you'd also like to talk about who's going where in the server-client ring, be my guest. Just make sure somebody runs it by me when people have an idea of where they want to be.

    Because you don't play right

Instead of being androgynous you just go "BUT LOOK CLEARLY I AM A FEMALE"

I am kind of amazed that some people still fall for it

P, please use spoiler tags >:C We have a lot of new people picking up Homestuck and they already run enough risk of spoilers from us chatting about it everywhere!

My problem with Vriska is that she often foregoes conscious effort and seeks to predict or gamble her way to victory. That and she doesn't consider her teammates very often. It might be a spectacle to watch her work, but it doesn't endear her to me as a person, and it smacks of a crippling flaw, which is something many of the seemingly perma-dead trolls share.

I like Jane, and I want to like Jake but he just bothers me. Don't know that you can say the bunny's done more harm than good, though; it saved Jack once and it saved John once. Like most other things in the HSverse, it seems irrevocably woven into the never-ending spiral of successes and failures the kids experience.

Ok, so what we got is we got this dude here (sauce here), who is normally a chick, but either way s/he's a real go-getter, very devious, very playful. S/he wouldn't hesitate to hit dat if s/he wanted it. Always a good candidate. And you can keep those, consider it a gift from me to you, mess with 'em if you wanna touch 'em up a tad, so on and so forth.

Bro, your artwork kind of blows my mind, have I ever told you that

I love your art style. Much more realistic than most people tend to go for these days, but not ugly realistic like the rest of people go for. I think what I like most besides that is your firm grasp on perspective. Lots of nice, subtle angles on those drawings there.

    If I had any money I'd totes hire you to do comics ; w;

    Epilepsy

Well, I learned some things I didn't know from your post. Thanks for sharing c:

I can't imagine people would think you're joking. Are there seriously people who don't know epilepsy is a real health issue? That's... troubling. I mean, I figure they would have heard about the banned Pokemon episodes that caused seizures in children, or something like that.

It's ingrained in many of our heads from an early age that college is the place to be. Get your degree so you can get a good job; learn lots of stuff so you can speak intelligently among your peers; meet lots of interesting and open-minded people and build connections for your future. Just about everyone has a reason to go. And it sounds like a nice deal, doesn't it?

What are your experiences? Does it turn out to be as glamorous as it sounds? Are all of these positives tied exclusively and without fail to higher education? Should they be? Should we not seek to forge the skills necessary to meet new people and make connections independent of environment? Should we not be seeking to learn in and out of school? Is the system serving a purpose?

I suspect a debate may happen at some point, but I posted this in general Discussion for a reason. I seek opinions, no matter where they come from. Feel free to speak your mind here. What is college worth to you?
