Makaze with the haymaker I'll do you one better. Not all relationships need to. Yep.
Tut tut, dear. Where's the challenge in that? You'd be bored out of your mind and you know it. Ok Nomura you just keep the fuck away from my clothes
Makaze you realize you wouldn't have the luxury to debate this at length with a genie, right Good thing you're doing it now, because he would just say TOO LATE
Your nitpicking will not phase an Evil Genie, Mak Donald's You better hope your powers are coming from a nice guy
Then you know what I'm going to say. xP
... Let me guess. Couldn't hurt to ask?
I missed it. Meh, I make the same wish every time, and it never comes true.
Magick .

Spoiler Oh god Cal is still there. Oh god Cal is still there. DOUBLE ENGLISH So yeah anyone else wondering if scratched!Earth will interact with nonscratched!Alternia? That would be badass.
A child with an over-active imagination can have no greater fear than what she cannot see. I was afraid of the dark--or, more precisely, what I had room to believe was in the dark. That and most insects. I've grown out of that for the most part, though I still get skittish around bees, wasps, and hornets, and spiders still creep me out. Actually, I had a lot of fears... I was a fragile child. But I maintain that the dark was the worst. Probably because I still don't like to wake up to a power outage in the middle of the night.
If no one's opposed, I'd like to throw my hat in the ring for GM. With a little bit of research I think I could come up with a fun and soundly-structured plot. Whether I'm chosen or not, I don't know that I'll be playing unless a slot needs filling. I would suggest either two sessions of four players each, or one of six. Keep it simple and small-ish. I'm all for a 15-18 age range, sounds like a solid space to work from. 15 would be my absolute minimum there. Having thought about it, it would probably be more fun to have them as different ages. Keeping to the player's location sounds like a smart move; easier to write what you know. It'll also make the dialogue more meaningful, as players can talk about what sucks in their hometown or what local events they're anticipating.
Jeez, that's the second time a service I send money across was hacked. Really gotta try and keep a lid on my info from now on...
For the curious: Apparently it's a mecha about a boy who can extract tools from his friends. Plot summary reminds me of Gilgamesh for some reason.
blurba blurba forgot the next part DANANANA OTHERWORLD SOMETHIIIINGS YOU Go into the sand, and the dust, and the sky Go now, for there is no better plan than to do or to die

Right on, then. Really? Hm... I guess I can't say I'm surprised. It's kind of archaic. Like I said, the closest contemporary analogue is the concept of a protagonist in fiction. My own shorthand definition is, "If it'd make a good read, it's heroic." Whereas the one I'd present for serious discussion is the one I've taken several pages to properly define. Any rate, I think that's about all I've got. Unless there's more, thanks for the good conversation, and the post count~
Do you know if there's a non-Bandcamp mirror of the album? My Bandcamp is not working properly ;_; It's a site-wide issue and I'm one of the ones experiencing it after they claimed to have fixed it. If you need to PM me to share a link, go ahead.
Sounds about right. I would also posit that there are plateaus on the way; some self-made, others evident in retrospect. A person can take several journeys in one lifetime. To be a hero of the highest caliber is not necessarily to reach the greatest height or achieve the greatest goal, but to never stop moving, to always be active in the pursuit of self-betterment. A man can do one great thing and spend the rest of his life stagnating, and I would only reminisce about his heroism, never call him one in the present. There are things I wish I could have done, but I distinguish between those and accomplishments which I recognize as skillful or beneficial but simply have no desire to pursue. My scope is limited; resisting this notion only weakens me. Nietzsche is quoted as saying, "The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently." I respect and recognize a deep spiritual revelation that does not align with my own, and if the person shares this revelation and affects positive change in others, I would consider that heroic. I have no desire for the whole world to think the way I do or master the same skills as me, nor do I desire to cater to every thought or explore every discipline; but I recognize parallels in effort, achievement, and sharing wealth.
