You're thinking of My Life as a King
Little King's Story is a Pikmin style fantasy exploration action comedy city building dating sim made by the now defunct Cing. It's... such a good game
    And nobody played it
I saw it in the bargain bin for 8 bucks the other day :(

    Divergent

    That is... incredibly optimistic

Honestly, I had that same view a year ago, then I had to do a research paper on the Hunger Games and realized that the sub culture it formed is basically the exact same as the one the book criticizes.

It's not that it's not viable, it;s that people are incredibly lazy, and would rather just go buy a box, from a store they trust, and be done with it
Like, the people who will actually get a computer built compared to the people who will buy a console can't be that comparable, basically.

On the controller thing, I just realized I did a major herp, controllers, and gaming stuff in general lately, are jsut kinda inherently more expensive in Canada, what with our dollar

    Thread

    Divergent

Been hearing a lot of bits and pieces about this and it sounds HILARIOUS

For those who don't know, the premise is basically this: in the not too distant future, everybody is split into five specific skill sets, and if you have multiple skills/don't fit into these rigid standards it means you have SUPER POWERS and could overthrow the EVIL GOVERNMENT or something
So they hunt down and kill everybody with a varied skill set

    I just...
    what
    this is amazing

Gonna have to clarify WHICH point you're talking about. this thread has been moving at superspeed all day
Overall, the thing bout the argument I don't like is that it's a bunch if min/maxing. Twenty dollar controller, that'd be nice, but good luck actually finding one. Odds are it'll be dead flimsy too. Need a cheap but powerful computer? Build it yourself. Okay, but that's not a very viable option for the AVERAGE person.
The piracy thing. The implication is that cracks exist proves something about DRM, but there's no way the popularity of anti-DRM cracks outstrips the people who are happy to just use Steam or whatever.
Basically, it's taking a bunch of minorities, and trying to pretend they're majorities, and providing no REAL counter to why that is he case, beyond simply scoffing at people who say otherwise

Ah yes, and I'm sure the cracked versions are way more popular than, say, Steam

You CAN pirate console games, but it's a fair bit harder to do then nearly any PC game

DRM is far more of a thing with the bulk of PC gaming... it's also generally mroe accepted
