I got embroiled in a lengthy discussion with an online friend the other day when I accidentally let slip that I didn't think KH had any good characters. He brought up Riku, saying he went through an immense character arc throughout each game I said i was tired of seeing him deal with the darkness in each game He replied "well without darkness Riku would be a boring character" So that's the thing, isn't that kind of the sign of a BAD character? A character so one note that removing a single external element completely undermines their entire character? But this got me to thinking. Sora, on the other hand, does go through some rather dramatic evolution throughout the series. But a rather bizarre evolution that strikes me more as the series' writing getting more and more incompetent... but it's still an evolution, many people have argued it's even a good one. So, what do you guys think? Are there any characters in KH YOU would argue are good?
A very common descriptor you'll find even among fans of the game. But t's not really accurate. And not in that jerkish loophole way where I say "If something happens, that's a plot" A more accurate description could be "Re:Coded has a self contained plot" or "Re:Coded's barely affects the overarching plot of KH" Re:Coded has a fair bit going on... it's just a lot more focused than a normal KH game. But each world has a subplot, many major events happen within the game itself. Just because these things probably won't carry on to KH3 doesn't somehow mean they don't exist. This kind of stuff pops up a lot in the KH fandom, and a lot of similar anime type fandoms I've seen. There's little to no respect paid to the journey, it's all about those final few details in the last act, even if it's just an info dump. Even if it's never properly built up. It's all about quickly gathering up essentialdetails in some sort of rsuh to get to some ending or other. Sure, ask most people and they'll tell you all you need from Re:Coded is the ending and secret ending. But in my opinion, if you do that, then you're really missing out
Most places it's a minimum 5 dollar down payment
Still no word on a release date, but Gaescom gave us a new trailer This one is a direct comparison of SD to HD, including our first example of the remastered soundtrack!
The graphics were great for the PS2! SA2 barely holds up better than 06. At least the modern games aren't horrendously clunky
That guy was Amaury XD
Okay seriously, guys, stopping Heartless Angel is not that hard. You don't NEED Elixers >.> Just attack him when he uses it. They give you plenty of time
I'm getting some shaky reports saying Gamescom confirmed FFX HD will come out in October. Crrently looking for something more solid, but though this might interest some people
This is a terrible list
yay

The 3D series was better than I expected, but you can't really top the samurai jack stuff going on in the original
so you're playing the game and your challenge is to see how boring you can make it? >.> generally when I do a challenge run it's because I'm trying to make it more fun...
Hey, so I gave standarizing the midis to General Midi format a try, here's what I've done so far
A lot of this video seems to just be assuming that you can 'simply' add these feature. Retroactive development on a decade old game is NOT an easy thing >.> As for why there's no action? That's harder to animate The HD cutscene comparison thing was... weird. KH1's cutscenes aren't 4:3... And the rest is just wouldn't it be cool if But yeah, really only people who have ridiculously high expectations will be dissapointed by the 1.5 remake, anybody who has played ay other HD remake will realize that 1.5 has significantly more effort put into it than any other HD remaster so far
As for why, it's meant to be a sort of theatrical intro. The idea is that the real song starts playing when Jack Skellington is introduced, as part of his perforamnce
of course, they're not going to sound quite right by their nature as midis. This is just the notes, it won't sound accurate by default because it doesn't use he Kingdom Hearts instruments
