    Death Note

I saw on YouTube they've begun taking down some of the fansubbed episodes of Death Note because it's being licensed and dubbed... anybody hear anything different? I'm off to find somewhere to download the episodes (I only got up to episode 16); but is it true they're going to begin dubbing DN?

AHHH! MUFFINS! It's almost like an original Kadaj Family reunion, no?

By the way, I can fly by flapping my arms.

I don't know... I only found it on YouTube a few weeks ago, and there were thirty episodes in total... how many were aired on AdultSwim? (I'm not trying to prove you wrong, just so you know; I'm honestly curious.)

Yes, but was there really much further they could have taken the show? It's brevity is the main reason I grew attached to it... are you sure it was canceled, or was it just at the end of its storyline?

This is the what, fifth "best anime" poll? To quote Monty Python: "Oh my God, this is terrible! Will somebody please stop it?"

But of course, I can't resist adding in with Fullmetal Alchemist... call it loyalty to my gateway drug. ^_^ But Darkandroid and Zexion of the Twilight are right; Death Note is surprisingly well-done, while as much as I love Yu Yu Hakusho, it's incredibly long multi-episode battle sequences left something to be desired. And the D.Gray-Man anime is patently awful from what little I could stomach... Yes, the manga is amazing; however, the anime failed to capture the essence in my opinion, and the voice acting left even more to be desired than YYH's battles.

As for the others listed, I have to admit that I haven't seen them. Can this please be the last "best anime" poll? There's simply no way to list all the great anime as poll choices; it generally comes down to "what's the most mainstream" rather than "best". However, that's just my opinion, obnoxious and overbearing as it is. ^_^

I'd like to thank everyone who submitted reasons for my watching... I'll admit, I was reluctant, but you've all convinced me: as soon as I'm finished watching what's uploaded of Death Note, I'll start on Naruto... again, thanks to everyone!

    Wolf's Rain

This is a series I found recently on YouTube, after reading the first volume of manga based on the anime. To my surprise, this little-known anime was actually dubbed in English...

While simplistic in plot (wolves searching for paradise), Wolf's Rain surprised me by the attachment one forms to the cast of characters. Thirty episodes in total, it clearly knew when to stop and allow its storyline to end, which I can't say as much for many of the shows I've seen. Has anyone else uncovered this anime?

...You must be joking. My lovable ultimate-definition of bishonen was named... Dennis? *dies* O...M...G... "explaining that Kurama only pretends to be a girl when in the human world"... I swear, I may possibly die of laughter.

OOC: burnitup, are you trying to insinuate something? Zexion, please don't abandon this. I give you my word I won't do anything to disrupt again as I did earlier. I was simply attempting to portray Larxene's character as accurately as possible. Again, my apologies.

Larxene threw the impertinent Number Eight off her and drew her kunai, clutching four in each hand. "I am so sick of these random monsters!" she screamed, seafoam eyes flashing. She dashed down the beach, sand flying from her boots as she leapt into the air and bore down on the creature. She whipped her hands out, lightning exploding in fiery bolts from each hurled kunai; as soon as she threw one, another would appear in her hand. Electricity flashed between her antennae as plummeted to the earth and plunged all eight knives into the creature's skull, raking the weapons like claws all down its 'face'.

Nimbly landing on the ground in a crouch, Larxene surveyed her handiwork, a savage grin crossing her face. Blinded, the Storm Rider bellowed in pain before collapsing to the sand, shaking the very ground itself. She raised her hands toward the sky, then brought them down with an air of finality.

Huge sheets of lightning roared down from the otherwise peaceful sky; any others inhabitanting this island must have thought it the final climax of a battle between gods. The Heartless let out a pathetic, abject whimper of pain as the energy subsided, and dissipated into the island breeze as a rain of darkness.

With an expelled breath, Larxene collapsed to the beach, unconscious from the drain of expending so much power all at once.

"Children!" Larxene hissed at both Axel and Demyx. "Do you not understand that your foolish behavior is why we are no longer trusted by either the leader of the Castle That Never Was, or the leader of the Underground of Castle Oblivion?! Stop being childish! We need each other. All of us need to work together."

"Tackle... the forest, you say?" Larxene looked at the trees off to the side covering what seemed to be the rest of the island. With that simple statement, the trees seemed to become more foreboding and deeply evil. "And what exactly is in the forest that must be tackled?"
