Larxene stalked toward the dazed Flurry of Dancing Flames. "I have had enough of your constant meddling, your childish antics, and your immature behavior," she hissed, sea-green eyes somehow managing to spark without her activating her powers. "The only reason I haven't killed you is because Zexion wants to keep us all alive." Her hands clenched into fists, and she leaned in close, lowering her voice to a dangerous stage whisper. "But once you've outlived your usefulness, even if I had a heart, don't think I would shed a tear if something... unfortunate should happen to you." She backed away and looked to Zexion, Saix, and Xigbar, a clear 'must-we-keep-him-alive' look on her face.
Larxene cursed and hurridly blocked Number VIII's wild blows with a hastily drawn kunai. "You *******, watch where you're swinging those!" she screamed into his face. Rage boiled off her in nearly-visible sheets.
"I wouldn't touch that if I were you," Larxene noted as Saix scratched at the collar. She snatched a piece of bread from his ration pile and sniffed it thoughtfully. "You don't think this is poisoned, do you?" She reached over and took the radar from Zexion's hand. "Even if we find the others, what if they don't feel like cooperating?" Larxene sniffed. "Look at Axel. He was here, and now he's not."
Larxene chewed on a fingernail and shook her head. "It sounds like a good plan on the surface, but this man, this DiZ... he's your old master. Wouldn't he anticipate something like that?" She resisted the urge to flick the metal collar around his neck. "I have a bad feeling about this. It sounds too easy."
Larxene's eyebrows rose. "Really..." A sly grin crossed her face, but then it froze halfway there. "Danger... Zones? Meaning there's more than one? How will we know which room is his?"
"Annoying?" Larxene cracked her knuckles and rose to her feet. "I could think of several others words that fit him far better." She peered up at the rising sun. "Day two," she stated. "Only twelve days left before one of us dies." She turned and smiled at Zexion and Saïx; it was a smile tinged with malice. "That's a cheery thought, no?"
Eeek! Sorry, Darkandroid! That's what I get for not paying attention! (There are far too many people with 'dark' in their name on this site.) You'll post them here when you make them, right?
*holds up finger* Ah, but Roxas has Oathkeeper and Oblivion, AND he has an O-13 raincoat! So therefore... ROXAS!! ~Jade
Linali shrieked and activated the Dark Boots. The portal was gone; she didn't give it another thought as the werewolf snarled. A sudden grin crossed her face. Cloaked strangers and portals may terrify her, but monsters were something she was all too familiar with. She flew up into the air and whipped her right foot around, slashing a deep wound across the canine's face. The creature roared in pain and surprise, reflexively backing away from the female. Blood splattered in drips to the ground; a sizzling sound arose, and the cobblestones below began to smoke. One baleful yellow-gold eye fixed on her own onyx orbs, and then it lunged, wings straining to pull the massive monster into the air to get to her level. Linali flitted around the werewolf's head, easily avoiding its snapping jaws and lashing out with her feet. A tendon snapped in one of its wings, and as it collapsed to the ground its roars were more pained than ferocious. Linali showed no mercy and swept the off-balance creature's feet off the ground. With a crack, its ankle gave way, and the werewolf thudded to the ground, yowling. Its impact shattered several cobblestones and shook the very ground. Agonized growls emminated from the fallen creature, and Linali almost felt sorry for it. Its claws scrabbled weakly against the street in an effort to bring itself up, and its yellow-gold eyes glared at her with an evil malice. "My apologies," she told the werewolf, black eyes softening. "But your time ends now." She turned her hip and snapped a kick into the canine's head, the strength lended to her by the Innocence running through her Boots crushed its skull. With a final, pathetic whimper, the massive werewolf laid still at last.
Larxene sighed, but made no move to remove the incriminating marker from Luxord's hand. The Gambler of Fate, while strong, was not going to be one of the survivors in the end; she could feel it. What did she care if Saïx decided to go berzerk again? But then again... she she may be injured in the Luna Diviner's rage, thereby lessening her changes of survival. She sighed again and rose to her feet without her hands touching the floor. Larxene plucked the marker from the sleeping Nobody's hand and contemplated it for a moment, then frowned and tucked it deep into her pocket. May come in handy later... she mused, then returned to her seat.
Linali was torn between staying in an attempt to help the people, and leaping into the portal behind the mysterious white-cloaked stranger. Realizing there was nothing she could do, she deactivated her Dark Boots and slammed to the ground with more force than she had anticipated, stumbling a bit from the shockwaves rippling through the earth. She closed her eyes and dove into the portal.
OOC: WHOA I'm confused! Will someone please explain what's going on? Demyx squeaked in terror and pulled the paper bag containing the cookies over his head. "I don't like fighting," he said fearfully, voice muffled by the bag.
Linali looked around wildly; none of the Italians running by seemed to pay any heed to the two people seemingly standing in midair. "What's going on?" she cried.
I'm going to see the 300 this weekend... Darky, did you make those images yourself, or did you find them?
OOC: rat, you're supposed to start off in your own world... you're nowhere near me at this point. Linali floated backwards warily. "More powerful... than the Earl?" flashed disbelievingly through her mind. "This stranger could prove to be a powerful ally against him..." She paused and allowed the man to approach. "Tell me your name," she demanded. A slight edge of fear cracked her voice, raising the last word to an almost-squeak. Fear radiated off the stranger to envelop her like a cloak, which she roughly tried to shake off.
"Somehow I doubt that," Linali muttered under her breath. She raised an slim black eyebrow questioningly. "If you're not here to fight, what do you want from me?" Despite his words, she remained ready to attack. "Are you with the Millenium Earl?" OOC: The Millenium Earl; main villian of the series... ignore him, he doesn't enter into this; I just needed something in-character for her to say.
... no reponse.
I agree; thank you, Misty! :D As a female, I have to say that any girl who is offended by this needs to learn how to take a joke; it was hilarious! ~Jade
Jade stretched and sat down on the bed. "Kingdom Hearts, eh?" she asked. "I've heard of it, but haven't played much of it myself." OOC: This be true. I've barely gotten to play any of Kingdom Hearts... *sigh* Fortunately, I have a friend who explained EVERYTHING to me, so I write fanfiction and, by making music videos, have seen almost all of the cutscenes.
OOC: Apologies for my absence, everyone... And now, for a bit of recap. ~Designated Room #786~Land of Dragons-Camp Larxene's eyes snapped open from her feigned sleep as the troublesome Number VIII's breathing finally became deep and rhymic; he was asleep. "How irritating," she murmured under her breath, shaking her head at the blatant display of immaturity Axel had displayed by drawing on Saïx’s face. "I suppose spending so much time hanging with our youngest member reverted him to a more child-like mindset," she added, referring to Roxas. She stretched her limbs and cracked her neck, settling into a comfortable position to await the others' awakening. While the others had been engaged in their pathetic power struggles, she had leaned against a nearby wall and slept with her eyes open, knowing that her strange inactivity wouldn't have been spotted by the other Nobodies; they had been a tad occupied. Fully rested, Larxene cast her gaze around their impromptu camp at the sleeping Nobodies. Somehow, Saïx's assult on Axel hadn't surprised her, but the fact that his rage had extended to both Zexion and Xigbar had surprised her. His berzerker rage gave him a slight advantage in battle, but it clouded his mind, preventing him from always making the most logical choice; only Zexion's quick work in tying him to a log prevented him from making another foolish attack. Her eyes shifted upwards to where Xigbar hung upside-down like a bat. She had been surprised as well by his quick temper; the only ones who seemed to be keeping their cool were Luxord and Zexion. She looked at the former to see the card-wielding Nobody curled in the fetal position as he slept; he had been the only one not to attack another member. And finally, she looked to the smallest Nobody in their camp- Zexion. Aside from his vicious skirmish against Axel's iPod, he had also appearently recognized the wisdom of sticking together. "Sticking together," she whispered with a wry grin, bringing her legs in to sit Indian-style. "For now." Larxene rested the backs of her hands against her thighs and closed her eyes, breathing in deep in a semi-meditative state. She would just have to wait for the others to awaken. The faintest glimmerings of light began to rise over the horizon, hinting at another day. Day Two
