Should the death penalty be a punishment for crime? I believe that yes, it should, but ONLY for cases in which a life has been taken away. If you murder someone, you owe the world a life that can never be brought back. It's the whole "eye for an eye" philosophy (well, actually it was a code of laws, but let's not get into Western Civ. class here). Also, a less philosophical reason; I don't know how this works in other countries, but here in America, jails are paid for by the taxpayers. In essence, we are paying for murderers to live. Agreed. To narrow it down to what's "justified" would be in a murder case, or perhaps interrogations into terrorist attacks? I think any time it is absolutely critical to have the truth, or someone is being hurt by the information being withheld. Yes, I realize that we're treading into grey area with the personal privacy thing; indeed, if you have nothing to hide, why worry? However, there is the threat of abuse of power associated with a machine that can read someone's mind. Let's try and clarify my post here... anyone off the street should have to give their permission first, while anyone in jail would NOT be given a choice, IF it's a serious crime. And what defines a "serious crime"? In my opinion, any time someone else has been hurt by the criminals actions; physically or mentally.

I can tell you MY problem with CFF... I found this thread by Zexion of the Twilight that was a REALLY good RPG, but CFF spammed it until it died. Now, all this other stuff about people hacking onto his account and what not, I have no idea. I really should have just kept my mouth shut, shouldn't I?
