OOC: Whoa....xP. And is not Twilight who thinks is fruity to have them, is Axel :D. "Security risk?" Roxas questioned increduously, yet not looking at Max, but still had his eyes on Axel in a searching stare. Did he actually formed a plan with this dark man? And what kind of plan was it that required him to stay in this abyssmal place? To be honest, he was a tad disappointed, only not so much because they could stay in Traverse Town to talk instead, at least yet...still. So now that he found Axel was alive, he couldn't spend time with him after so long of him being declared dead? And it also seemed that he was willing to go ahead with this scheme, whatever it was, though it did peek his curiosity. Going in thought for a moment, he asked his friend intensely, "What kind of plan?" "I can't tell you exactly, but nobody can find out I'm alive and that I'm here, yes....even Larxene. Why do you think I couldn't go and get you myself? I cannot be detected by Zexion, that's a big risk and will hinder the plan completely," Axel answered quietly, not breakng eye contact with the blond. "I know I can trust you on keeping the fact that I'm not dead, a secret." Roxas narrowed his eyes, seemingly offended, or hurt at his words. "But you don't trust me enough to actually tell me what is it your planning, does it? What happened to 'I can tell you anything'?" Axel eyed him seriously, as he gazed at him blaringly at the accusation he was placing on him. "Members like Zexion or Vexen, can try any little thing to get the truth. Is not that I don't trust you, is that I don't trust the people around you." "But then, why did you show me you were alive? Isn't that crucial?" Roxas inquired, diminishing his sudden wall and defenses as he understood where Axel was coming from now, and couldn't really blame him for it, they can even try a truth serum poured on his drink or any sneaky actions to achieve what they want to know. Including, that he wasn't dead, so... "I did it for a couple of reasons, actually. Is not that crucial as you may think it is, it only puts a tiny damper on it, but me being found to be alive will only speed things up more than the pace we wanted, is all, which is why I found nothing to be that horrible on telling my best friend. If anyone asks, you can make something believable up, like I know you're capable of," Axel went on to explain, only to make a mixture or a grimace and a smirk, giving Max a nasty look. "And I was stuck with this a**, I couldn't take it anymore, wait until I tell you where he sent me to take a shower, hell, the apartment entirely. The only ones worth talking to are Moogles, and well...not that they're bad, they're actually handy, but the Moogles aren't you or Larxene, let's say. Though if I had to pick one, it would be Wiggles..."
Perhaps Zexion can have the voice actor who plays Gaara, Liam O' Brien. I think he could pull it off. As for Larxene, I thought Tiffany Grant, since she played Asuka Langley in Evangelion (and the Japanese voice actor for Larxene, Yuka Miyamura, also played her, so I thought it was fitting), and that was one psychotic character. Anyone who can pull off a evil laugh and some with a little girl type of voice fits good.
I truly agree. Science has gotten very far to the point where discoveries like cloning is only to help them to never die, and reached the fact that they can live longer. We aren't God(s), and I don't agree with this, I don't agree on cloning, period. I would never like someone that looks like me, not to mention a copy, to keep living for myself. They need to let it go, yet, I think humanity's greatest fear is Death, and are trying to prevent it as much as possible, hence, they keep going. I fear dying, but I know everyone has to some day, is the way of life and nature, we're born, we live, we die. Trying to change it will only cause not only overpopulation, but a rift (not that there aren't ones, we're already on Global Warming, but that's another topic).
OMG, I love them! I'm surprised that someone made a thread on it, so I had to click it. One of the best sci-fi movies, ever. Watched all three, and if they give reruns, I'll see them over again and over again. Even the Doc gets his own lady in the end xP. I use to have a crush on Michael J. Fox, since he looked hot and young in those days (can't say so now, since he looks way older).
I LOVE Roxas and Naminé, more than Sora and Kairi, even, despite my sig of them being in the middle (it's more of the fact that they're the main two of the trio. Maybe I should change it). In my opinion, Roxas is more complicated than Sora, more interesting, he even has greater flaws...I don't know, I just like the fact that he's not always optimistic and childish, seems to have a brain to actually think about what's happening around him. Naminé...is flawed (is it possible for Kairi's Nobody to have the faults that makes a character go in-depth? Yes, it is, which makes her so much more likeable to me), not that much, mind you (unlike Larxene, where in my opinion, if they ever bothered to go more into her character, you'll find ideas of her being complex), is opting only for the loneliness, she was selfish in wanting someone for her own, and altering the memories so she can have her hero, someone to love her like Kairi has (I think she found it with Roxas). I do agree that she was digging Sora alot in CoM, cared about him, I don't know how anyone could deny that, but in KH2 I think she considers him like a friend (definitely didn't get the vibes, hell, she even spoke past Sora at Roxas, not paying so much attention to the spiky brunette), and is now more partial to Roxas in the end. The fact that she says all happily to the blond, "We'll be together again!", says a lot. Then there was the hand grabbing (which alot of Clerith fans compared to that of FF7: AC). Even Roxas was gazing at her in the way you would look at someone you like. Can't ever forget the CGI ending where through their others, they smile to each other as well :3.
Back to the days of the BHK xD. I never really thought much of Roxas, really, I did know that he was a connection to Sora, so I thought it was his long lost brother or something among the lines of family, like cousins. And would become a companion on your journey, another warrior of the keyblade. And it was strange cause despite the resemblance everyone mentions in the game, Sora and Roxas never looked that much alike (Roxas had narrower eyes, slimmer face, and more...pointy nose?), however, that seemed to change in FM+, so no qualms anymore.
"Max...do everyone in here a favor, including the Moogles, and shut the hell up," Axel grumbled in irritation, quickly scrambling up the second he noticed the gravity was back to normal, though his limbs felt like they were floating, his brain was like air, and he felt sick to his stomach, and yes, the type that makes you hurl. It was a good thing he hadn't eaten anything...oh great, another flaw to worry about. Food. Now instead of being a bit more skinny than the rest, he might look like he had anorexia...if he didn't appeared like it already from before. Trying to balance himself properly, shaking off the side affects, he sent Max a dirty look, "That was a bit unnecessary, don't you think? It wasn't even my fault..." "It was your fault...we've been stuck suffering for your suppose death. I just wonder what will be Larxene's reaction when you come back now," Roxas stated a bit drunkenly, also having to get up, though he stayed down a while, since when he moved, a sudden urge to vomit filled him, and his body felt surreal...airy. He also had a headache, and had to agree with his best friend, that was a bit unnecessary. Gravity can kill you if using too much force. Still, now that Axel finally showed he was alive, they can leave this place, and abandon Max with his moniters...and Moogles. Strange, he hadn't noticed them until now... Sending a smile back to Axel again, with the thought that now he got his friend back, he walked towards the redhead, peering at his face when he went to stand beside him, almost excited, though it was hard to tell, as he wasn't as opened like his other, unbeknownst to him. "Well, we'll see Larxene's reaction then. I have to say, I didn't trust her love for you before, but she misses you, I can tell. I have loads to tell you too, especially what Larxene did at the meeting, I can explain when we go to Twilight Town, in our usual spot, and-" "Roxas." The tone of Axel's voice made him stop abruptly, and he stared at the fire wielder, who looked at him seriously and grim, his green eyes seeming to shift from Max to himself. Blinking, Roxas asked quietly,"What is it?"
I just think it can be possible for another heart to beat with yours depending on the situation, not that it only goes for Sora specifically. That's why Sora having hearts isn't that farfetched, since he carried Kairi's the whole of KH1 without his notice. The Awakening scene has nothing to do with the Princesses giving Sora their hearts, the Awakening is just simply that, a paranormal plane that Sora experienced in his dreams, and then Roxas went through it as well, being his Nobody. There's a lot of theories about what is the Awakening, but that can't/isn't be one, have to say. The platforms of the Princesses he kept landing on were just there, and coincidentially enough *cough*, the Princesses were kept trapped by Heartless Ansem in the game. The only thing I'm positive that the Awakening is, the birth of your fate or destiny, as when Riku was drowning in darkness in the islands and Sora got the keyblae, the "unknown voice" spoke again to him. I'm hoping we'll finally understand what really is the Awakening in the upcoming games, or at least, the last one. But I'm going besides the point. Anyway... The Princesses' hearts that you see in KH1, escape from the dark keyblade Sora stabbed himself with, not himself (watch the scene again). The only heart he had from a Princess was Kairi's.
Still, I'm also one of the few who's opting that Roxas got Ven's heart, unless I misunderstood the scan where Terra yells what has Master Xehanort done with it (it also might explain why Terra, is looking over at Sora and Riku sparring on the beach, and says, "Forget me, friend " . I do not know the exact quote, but it was somewhere along those lines) Can it be possible for Sora to have two hearts inside him ? o.O He kept his, and Ven's went to Roxas. The only questionable thing is how can it be possible.
I don't think the theory stands ground so much, because Nobodies don't have hearts. Period. Nomura hasn't even stated or hinted otherwise. The emotions and that they can't feel is the only question that should be discussed, though in my opinion, Axel might have remembered how it felt like from his memories, coming from Saix's explanation (unless Axel was lonely and didnt have friends D=), and what he "feels" are just shadowed echoes, not real, but they're there in some way. That's the way I see it, anyway.
Axel saw Roxas smash to the floor with his body all of a sudden, his keyblades disappearing, but manage to save his head from any harm with his hands in time. It seemed he followed after, as a abrupt compression overwhelmed him, the air around himself getting heavier to the point where he couldn't mange to stand up, suffocating him, sending tingles and goosebumps through his body, and he went down to the ground also, yet learned from Roxas by blocking any damage to his face with his hands just the second he lost any more free movement. If he tried hard enough, he could twitch his finger and move his body, but not much, so it wasn't that bad. Yet, he wouldn't dare shift his head, Axel was acquainted about the process of what not to do in this situation. He could hear Max yelling, but his ears felt block, the type you get only when you drive along the mountains, and the pressure of the height you're in clogs it, exactly the same way when a plane flies off and you're a passenger. Axel was aware he could at least move his eyes, which were staring at the floor...and will be staring at the floor until he can move. His mouth could function, so he yelled, his voice sounding muffled to him, "Damn it, Max, lower the f*cking gravity!" He knew what it was, and he experienced it before. Axel lived and fought with Xigbar, for goodness sakes. And that unusually took him back to one time when the man was hunting for a number eight, or more members for the Organization, and discovered him. That seemed so long ago now...and of course, when Larxene came in the picture, who got talked about for awhile being the first and only, female member. Back then, he never thought in a million years that he'll be in love with her in the time that came, as he wasn't exactly interested...interested at nothing at all except getting a heart, but he had to admit, she did intrigue him... And it was amazing how he can think of this when he was having gravity pull him down. Roxas didn't what the hell was wrong, except that his bones didn't have the strength they used to have, and moving was like having a boulder on top of you, better put, a boulder around the air, which was a lot considering his scrawny figure. This had something to do with gravity, he can guess that much, only that was capable of doing this, and it was apparently Max that did so, he could hear him shout, or he thought it was shouting. The voice sounded distant, as if his hearing was sealed, and as he tried to move his head, not wanting to eye the floor the whole time, he felt a searing ache in his brain, and stopped. Roxas forgot about that. That it hurts when the skull has that much pressure thrown on it. He then heard another distant voice, the familiarity telling him it was Axel exclaiming curses. Well, this was something. It wasn't like he was seriously going to kill him.
Roxas blinked his eyes, not saying anything as he, for once, lowered down his weapons, but didn't make them disappear. There wasn't any other reason for how anyone can know that, unless they took his memory, but even he thought that was going a bit ahead of himself, nobody could do that, at least, not Max anyway. Feeling a sort of hope filled him, among happiness mixed with the tint of sadness, he didn't know what to think now. This still might be a trick...but maybe it wasn't, perhaps he was really here...he wanted him to be here... His mouth dry, and his vision getting misty as a type of burn swelled in his eyes, he croaked quietly, wishing he wasn't making a fool of himself right now, "What's my favorite soda?" "Orange soda. And you have your own secret stash under your bed, may I remind you," Axel answered with a small smile, excited now that he was finally getting through Roxas, a sort of warmth filing him from the fact that he was reuniting with his only and close friend. He stepped up to him, this time more confident, looking at him with all the honesty he could muster. "It's me, Roxas..." He was now spilling a few tears silently, not out of sadness, but out of happiness that his best friend was really alive, that all the thoughts of being alone, and bored, and not doing anything wouldn't happen, and...and that he wasn't going to be replaced anymore because he's here. Alive. Letting out a shaky breath, he stared at Axel with a smile, but there was another emotion controlling among his crying as the realization hit him, and laughing in gladness, tasting the salty drops in his mouth as they fell, he raised his keyblades, "I'm going to kill you." Axel paused. Then he widened his eyes. Only to look confused. "Wha-?" But he didn't get to finish as he had to immediately dodge a pointy and abrupt attack from the keyblade wielder, and he stared at his friend in complete shock. "Roxas!?" "You were alive all this time, and here I am, suffering because of your dead carcass!! I had to go through guilt, the fact you were dead, losing a best friend, trying to defend your place, only to be brought here, and YOU WERE ALIVE? You were perhaps watching me too, in those damn moniters, and you did nothing!!!" Roxas shouted as he charged at him with drastic velocity, his tears drying from the wind, twirling his Kingdom Key to aim a blow at the redhead, only for him to duck. He had no idea what he went through, only to get kidnap by a stranger, taken to this place, and find him breathing. Roxas didn't know whether to give a manly hug or throttle him. All this time... "I-I-I-well-" Axel stuttered, bewildered at Roxas's reaction, but he didn't get to finish as he had to dodge another slash, his body in overdrive from the acceleration and surprise of what was happening. "So you want me dead now?! What the hell?!"
Axel would've killed Vexen anyway, he was just playing with Marluxia's head since this would benefit for gaining his trust, and stopping Vexen revealing to Sora Twilight Town. He killed Marluxia as deserved (Sora, actually), but the Basement group weren't traitors, yet were in fact being loyal and helping to stop Marluxia and Larxene from their plans. Axel killed them for...simply necessity. He just mudered. Trust me. Is different when some begs for their lives and you kill them still, and all you do is smirk and enjoy it. Not to mention disgusting. He does't turn to the light side, he never was in the light side (turning the hero into a Heartless again doesn't equate to that either), he just helped Sora (or better, his drug Roxas) after realizing he was being selfish. I'm sorry you feel that way for Zexion, but it doesn't lessen the wrong of what Axel did. Period.
"Prove it," Roxas growled, not swaying away from his guard, staring Axel down with a untrustful eye. That would explain a few things, after all, nobody knew what really happened, with the talk of murder, or if the machine truly sort-circuited, and how he was here in the flesh now, but it might be just well thought of. Didn't he say they spied with those receptors? They could wind it to their favor, and he was yet not to be skeptical, so he prepared for any wrong moves. Axel sighed tiredly, rolling his eyes. "Okay, what do you want to hear? The Travese Town incident, the time we first met, or when you were sleeping, and I was peering at your face closely because it was twitching, until you woke up suddenly, and we bumped heads, showing no mercy to me at all? You didn't think me as a friend back then...told it to my face and all, that was a real burn, by the way. How about the time we spied on the Superior, as he always went somewhere, which we eavesdropped being called the 'Room Of Sleep', or how you went to Wonderland, telling me you stupidly followed the damn white rabbit. Or..." He trailed off there, looking at him expectantly.
No, Axel is not more honorable. In fact, he's far from it. He killed his own comrades, some begging for their lives, they couldn't defend themselves (which made him look like a coward instead), but he laughed and killed the whole way through in Castle Oblivion. That's not honor. And in the novels...the written novels, Riku asked him if what Saix said was true, that to get back Roxas, he was willing to turn Sora back into a Heartless again, and he replied yes. Then again, you seem to be a bit blind on who Axel really is.
OOC: Fire, for Sweeney Todd -- Sweeney Todd And I lasted long, cause I was eating ^^;. "Don't turn your back on me!" Roxas exclaimed furiously, ready to slash Max with his keyblade as he dived for him in rapid speed as he swung his arm, but was halted from getting his hit when a hand grasped him hard and tight on his wrist, on a stopping gesture, and the blond's eyes narrowed. Roxas called his Oathkeeper in his other free hand just as quickly, and swerve his arm in a fast turn to slice the fke Axel he knew was the one who grabbed him. As the sound of the action resonated in the air like a sword swishing, he noted that the male already let go in time and made a graceful jump away from slashing distance, though he still had that funny look on his face. Roxas just stood deadly, ready to go head to head. "Tsk. And Roxas, you shouldn't have turned your back on me," Axel tauntingly adviced, waving his index finger in the form of a "no". The kid was getting rough, though, and he knew that he needed to explain this fast enough so he will end his attacks on them. "Listen Roxas, I know you think I'm a fake, since I'm dead, I know...but even if you won't believe me, let me tell you, that I'm alive, and have been stuck in this world from the time I woke up." He didn't say anything, just kept his eyes and senses on the two opponents here, and merely gazed at Axel grimly. Likely explanation...still, he hadn't made any move to attack him, and neither did Max. Taking the silence as a good gesture, Axel continued, "I don't know what truly happened, except what Max told me. That the machine Vexen invented to save a Nobody, and to save me, malfunctioned, and since Max was spying on us with those receptors you see around you...he...he saved me, just in time, before I died along with the contraption. He kept me in a platform until I woke up, where I really thought I was dead. Turned out, I managed to live, the machine was finishing the job on healing me, before I guess, it short-circuited. This world here...is Traverse Town, and Max grabbed one of the districts and made his own territory, so nobody can get here unless he made it so, and nobody, like Zexion, can smell my scent."
OOC: I haven't seen it either, but I know the story....or musical. Horrific, vengeful, romantic, and sad xP. *le gasp* You don't know who's Sweeney Todd? Before he knew it, Roxas found himself thrown over a portal, and landing on a floor, his body crashing in a thud. He blocked most of the contact with his palms, his hands held over in front of him, so it didn't necessarily hurt, but he still gave a groan, his knee made a connection to the ground. Yet, knowing the situation he was in, a sense of anger flowed through him, and he got up to his feet in a second, ignoring the pain, summoning the Kingdom Key in one hand in a spark of light as he turned to face the person who brought him here, placing himself in a stance. What the hell was this? He was about to charge, more calculated in a way to see what would he do first, but a familiar voice stopped him, freezing him completely in his tracks. "As much as I would love for you to kill him, Roxas, he's unfortunately needed, and did me a favor," Axel interrupted, calm yet a bit anxious to see his best friend again, getting up from the stool he was sitting on and heading towards him. He remained a distance though, knowing Roxas was still on defensive, and making more steps will only alert him. Axel sent a glare to Max, as if thinking he could've thought of a less violent way to get him here, but the fact of the matter was...he was here. Finally, one of the two would know that he was alright, and giving a happy, but sad smile to Roxas, he stared at Max wryly. "And 'Demon Barber From Fleet Street', Max? Wow. Funny." Max...? Wasn't he the one everyone was talking about...? Roxas remained still, his stomach constricting very hard, and his breathing becoming uneven. He couldn't even swallow properly, and he eyed Max, concentrating, his hand tight on the hilt of his keyblade that it was digging into his skin, and yet not daring to look behind him to see if this was some trick to get to him. Yes, he was not going to fall for someone doing Axel's voice, despite the usual dry and sarcastic tone, because anyone can copy it easily. Axel was dead. That was the truth of the matter. But he still needed to see who his assailants were, both, so he jumped to the side as he twisted himself around, and get a good view, only to widen his eyes when he saw the redhead standing there, looking at him amusedly. That was just a fake...he glowered at Max heatedly then, preparing to attack him once more, and the imposter,as he glanced at them both dangerously, "I'm not going to fall for that. What the hell is it that you want with me?!"
Roxas was just about to sit on his bed and contemplate what events that happened so far, not that there wasn't much to do in this castle anyway, especially without a friend around. Strange, how he never noticed how quiet it can be with Axel not here, but it had to be something to get used to, no matter how he didn't want to. However, the slight swoosh of a portal prevented him from doing what he had planned, and sharply turned around to the noise, finding a guy he had never seen before there, and that didn't belong to their Organization. Preparing to summon his keyblades, his body tense and his mind focused, he shouted, narrrowing his eyes, "Who are you?!"
Vexen placed the dark infested piece of the machine into a clear, zip bag, almost like a forensic scientist discovering a item whose secrets needed to be uncovered. He had finally found a puzzle to the right lead in for what occurred to Axel, and in his finding, will pay a visit to Zexion for the power of his "scent", and put the mystery to res;. was Axel killed? If not, or if so, who was there? After studying it himself, he had found the wisps belonging to a wielder of darkness, not just simply the essence. Does who have it as their power, gave a strong aura when left behind, and this...was definitely strong. Before visiting his comrade, due to the cleaning of his lab and discarding the remainders of his machine carefully, he had a thrist, and so went to his own refrigerator, the zip bag in hand, as the other opened the door to it ajar, the cold air passing through his skin. There wasn't much, of course, only water, a couple of food, and...his white wine. His eye lingered on it as he thought the idea over, yet in the end, he cautiously reached for the glass bottle, and grasped it, taking it out. Closing the refrigeratoor door, the glass of the bottle now hazing into a cool mist for the change in temperature of the warmth for being outside, he headed towards the cabinet. Vexen wasn't much for relaxation and chit-chat, but for once, he thought it will do to share some wine, not to mention, good wine, no harm in it. And if Zexion refuses, he'll drink it himself. Getting two rightful clean wine glasses out after opening the cabinet lid to get them, he took them softly in the hand where the bag holding the piece was. Thinking that he didn't need to do anything else, he quickly portalled out, materializing into Zexion's room, in the spot where he knew his table to be. Placing the items ther, he dusted off his hands, only to look around the dim room, not spotting the female who was there with him. "Zexion?! I need to speak with you." Saïx silently stepped forward, walking until he was beside his Superior, looking at the heart-shaped moon as well. How bad he wanted his heart, and now, his wish might be in danger due to some lover's foolishness. Larxene. In plain honesty, he hadn't predicted the disagreements of the members, perhaps Roxas, also the discourteous female, but the rest not. Speaking quietly after a moment of silence, yet stern, he answered, "Not yet. For Number XII, I was initially thinking something...harsh, due to her insulting words to you, and myself, perhaps turn her into a Dusk for the day, temporarily, but then...she's a different case now." With this, his gaze shfited from the moon, to the side of Xemnas's face. "I keep thinking that her rebellious nature will only grow, as now she would think of our Organization...corrupted. She needs to be kept an eye on, which I already began, being trailed every second. The point, however, is that if the punishment is harder...it will only lead her to...betrayal. There's always a last straw for everything." He took a break there, wanting for the Superior to take time and think through what he said. "I also doubt Number XIII, not being traitorous, but can also be swayed to join forces with Larxene, if she manages to think that far. We already witnessed they have a loss in common, Axel, and that is only the most powerful reason for our Keybearer to agree with the right words. Especially if given such a punishment as well, will only help the boy into the decision. Number XII can do what she wants, but...we know how important Roxas is to us, and how we can fall if used against us. Of course, it's nothing to ponder over, is just my thoughts on the matter, does not mean that it could prove true, Sir. It's all speculation on my part. I might be overthinking this..."
OOC: Alright then, see you. "Fine," Axel muttered bitterly to his departing form, and turned around from his departing, his trust for him diminishing every second that passed. He knew Max had his own plans and ideas that he wasn't telling him, and that opportunity...not that he really thought that Max showed it to him, it was more of the fact of having something to bark back, he did call him a idiot, after all, but that opportunity...had to include the guy who made the bathroom a forest. Besides that, he trusted Roxas, and he knew what he was doing, especially as he picked the less of the two that Zexion is closer with. He knew the kid will cover for him, Roxas has wit. Though he was at least expecting for Max to question why and for what reason, not to agree so easily. As he sat down in the stool where all the receptors were surrounded, the white glow mirrowing off his green eyes, he saw that the Throne Room was empty, and he missed the meeting. Oh well, he'll hear it from Roxas soon...
