inb4someonementionspewdiepie But yeah, I kinda got over the original Amnesia's scary tactics and whatnot. I hope to revisit that sometime and eventually play A Machine for Pigs...

I think for the American society as a whole, remembering 9/11 gives us something to fight for. Especially with Syria and us on the edge of a potential WWIII *knock on wood*, we have to remind ourselves of why we want to value democracy, despite the many flaws and conflicts that are in the system as of now. Sure, justification for war is never something we are 100% sure of, but I know it helps build our country together, even if just by a little bit, for each passing year of the anniversary. We'll move on the next day, go back to our daily lives and focus on the present issues, but it shouldn't hurt to step back for moment and think about what has happened and what we can do to prevent it from happening again.
PFFT WHY WOULD THEY EVEN CALL IT 1.5? DID THEY TRY TO MAKE A SEQUEL BUT ONLY PUT 1/2 EFFORT INTO IT?? AHAHAHAHAahahahahahahahehehehe... hehe...heh... ;-;
During one of my previous semesters of college, I went from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM. I practically lived there.
Yeah, I agree, although unfortunate that the game itself garnered much less marketing attention than its Fabula Nova Crystallis brethren *coughlightningsagacough*. But anyway, sounds neat. However, I also have a feeling that it still won't get localized anytime soon, hinting that they may have already scrapped their planned sequels with Type-1, Type-2, etc. through obtaining those domain names prior to the original game's release.
I guess quotes are made famous/infamous based on context, the delivery/execution, the soundtrack of that moment, the lighting, the effects, etc. But what makes good quotes stick is that they are able to heighten and stir the dialogue/scenery's theme, message, or atmosphere. Take The Lord of the Rings: Two Towers and the scene at the end where Frodo asks Sam what are we holding on to? or something like that. Sam then says "That there is some good in this world..." The context being that they are in the midst of battle field and are already put off track to destroy the ring; his relationship with Frodo as his protector, but most importantly, his supporting friend; and of course, the struggle of the peoples of Middle Earth in a battle against an evil that still seems too overwhelming to overcome. Even not knowing what tribulations and challenges will come next, Sam musters up all the hope that's left within himself (which Frodo lacks in return) and is able to respond to him in a way that keeps them going on their feet for the last part of their journey. That moment was able to turn hesitation and doubt into hope and certainty.
Aww lawdy, never forget the time I saw this on Broadway. Perfect energy.
Yeah, I've learned the tough way that the food service/hospitality industry is always gonna be a b*tch. There are unpredictable hours you might be staying, people you'll dislike, and overall get treated and sometimes paid like crap. It was my first job, so I definitely have a set level of expectations as I look for my next job this season. One thing that will definitely get you on track are cover letters. It's basically introducing yourself and highlighting what skills/abilities you have. It'll help you stand out from the rest as the hiring team looks through dozens of resumes and applications. It took me at least 3 hours to write up my cover letter, but it's definitely worth the struggle and perfection. It reflects the effort you would put into work as you put into the cover letter. I haven't worked for that long cumulatively (5 months total), but this is the advice I hope will be found useful.
FINALLY SOMEONE IN THE SAME BOAT AS ME ;~;
