I always use the world-provided party member and kick out Donald. He's annoying.

I give all boosts (Defense, AP, Strength, Magic) to Sora.

The only party member I didn't use was Ariel in KH1 and Mulan in KH2.

    Auron and Riku are Beasts.

    End of story.

If you're going to explain it like that, you might as well explian then entire game that way. Really, at the bare minimum, that is what it is. *eyeroll*

I hated Atlantica too. I didn't really care to much for Olympus Colesium either.

I'm sure you did. It would be virtually impossible for game programmers to acheive something like this.

    Wow! Great story!

Only advice I have is to remember punctuation. It got a bit confusing when you forgot periods ans such.

It seems like you're going too fast. Maybe slow it down a bit; explain more. Try not to make things happen as suddenly, and describe the emotions of the characters a bit more.

Other than that, it's great. Continue! I'll be looking for updates.

    AWWWW

    I was an inspiration?

    Yays!!!!

I could kind of sense that you had read my story by the part when you talked about them going to the islet to think.

    xD

Anyways, good story, It's a great Idea.

Maybe you should watch and make sure you don't get mixed up between paste tense and present tense. And try not to make the paragraphs as long. That made it harder to read.

    Thankies!!!

    Here's chapter 5

(LOL...Told you there would be hardly any wait)

    Dear Sora and Kairi,
I'm sorry to have left you again so soon after we were reunited. I will miss you guys more than you know. I can't tell you why I left or what I am doing, because that could put you in danger. All I can say is that I know more than you think, and that's part of the reason that I left. I don't know when, but I know we will see each other again. It is important that you follow Mickey's instructions; I hardly have room to talk about this, as the reason I am writing is because I am about to break them, but that makes it all the more important that you don't. I miss you guys. I'll see you again.
    -Riku

Sora held the paper in his hand. His breath seemed to be caught in his throat; he was shocked. He looked at Kairi, her eyes still watery, and decided to say it upfront.

"He disobeyed Mickey." He stated simply, deciding to take one detail at a time, because his thoughts were going in so many directions so fast it was easier to take his words slower.

"I realize that, Sora." She paused, as Sora looked down wondering what to say next. "But you did too." Kairi continued, without Sora realizing that she was going to.

"What? How- Oh." He corrected his own thought for him. "Oh" he said, crestfallen, after realizing how many rules they'd broken and the kind of situation they were in.

For a while they didn't talk; just sat in the bushes exhausted next to what used to be the Secret Place. How could Riku do this? What was going to happen because he and Sora broke the rules? Will they ever see him again now that he destroyed the portal? Will Mickey know they broke the rules? Were there new rules now? Sora didn't know what was going on, and again felt like he was overrun with emotions and thoughts. Deciding that he didn't need to say anything, he got up and started walking back toward the islet, not even turning to see if Kairi followed; he knew she would.

They both sat against the tree this time, Kairi up on top and Sora standing up, resting his head behind his arms. Kairi was fidgeting a lot more than usual; she didn't know how to ask Sora what she knew she needed to ask him. She doubted he even knew. She sat they on the log, picking at one of her nails and swinging her legs slightly, when Sora interrupted her thoughts.

"Kai?" he said gently, as though not wanting to angry her. "What's wrong?" he asked.

She should've known better than to fidget. Sora knew her too well and could tell this meant that she didn't know how to say something but needed to say it.

She took a deep breath. "Sora, have you ever been to a castle?" she asked.

Sora stared at her. "I've been to a bunch of castles." He responded, in an I-don't-get-where-this-is-going-term.
    "No, I mean one where...."
"Where what?" he asked, still confused.
"Where you came for somebody...somebody you promised to protect?"

"Are you talking about Hollow Bastion?" he answered after a minute of thought.
    "No!" she answered, annoyed.

They were looking at each other now; Sora confused as to where Kairi's questioning and frustration was going, and Kairi annoyed that Sora wasn't getting it even though she couldn't quite get it herself.

    Kairi decided to continue.

"Well what about a charm? Did you ever have a....Star shaped charm or anything?"

Sora nodded, still giving Kairi a look of concern.
"Yours." He responded simply, referring to the sea-shell charm she lent him back in Traverse Town all that time ago.

"No no no no no!" Kairi spat, obviously frustrated.

"Like..." It was hard to find the right words. "Where you made a promise, but the person...told you it was all wrong?"

"What kind of promise?" Sora questioned.

"I don't know!" Kairi responded. "just to take care of somebody..." she added afterwards, quieter.

It was then, when Kairi added that little sentence to the end of her answer to his question that a realization hit Sora.

"Wait a minute Kairi, you might be on to something here!" Sora exclaimed before becoming lost in thought.

"Of course I'm on to something!!!" Kairi practically screamed. It took him this long to figure that out?

But then Sora realized what his realization actually was. (Ha! lol crazy sentence!)

"No, Kairi, before I....I mean, after I.....you know, the cave?" he said, suddenly sounding nervous.
"Yeah" Kairi answered, starving for him to finish.
"I....... I had this weird thought....." he continued.
    "Go on" she urged him.
"That I...made this promise when somebody was afraid of a shooting star hitting them that I would always protect them."

"Yes!" Kairi practically burst with excitement.
"But who'd you make it to?" She added, wondering what his answer would be.

Sora blushed. "Well, it was...I mean, I know I didn't, but when I thought of it, it seemed so genuine, but now I know it isn't....I probably just hit my head or something-"
"Who did you think you made it too then?" Kairi interrupted, still completely clueless as to what the answer would be.

Sora's face turned an even deeper shade of red. "You" he said, sheepishly.

    "Me?" Kairi whispered, in shock.
"No, it couldn't have been me." She added, reassuring herself, though she wasn't quite as convincing as she'd have liked. "I would have remembered too." She said strongly.

"I know." Said Sora, still embarrassed; but now it was his terms to ask questions.

"But what makes you say this?" he asked her, still very confused.

    "I-" she didn't finish.

    "What?" Sora pressed.

"I had a...dream." she finished, completely deflated.

"A dream? That's what this was about?" Sora asked again, confused.

"No! I mean, yes, but It wasn't a dream! I was unconscious, and you don't dream when you're unconscious, it just felt more like a...like a" she couldn't think of a word to finish the sentence. "Memory" she sighed, feeling as if she hadn't done it justice.

"Okay. A memory of what?" Sora asked as if interrogating a 5 year old.
"It wasn't my memory." Kairi continued.
"Well whose memory could it be then?" Sora thought out loud.

Kairi opened her mouth as if to speak, then closed it. She thought about it for a couple of minutes, then shrugged.

"I couldn't tell you" she responded.

"And what about you? What made you decide to destroy that cave? That's definitely not like you." She added, a new thought coming to her mind.

Sora shrugged too. "I couldn't tell you either." He responded.

It was still burning hot outside; they were both sweaty, tired, confused, and now, after their talk, had more questions than they did answers. Kairi sighed and walked off of the islet, deciding that arguing over questions that neither of them had answers to was not going to help. Sora followed her.

She decided to go to the cove, take off her shoes and let her feet stay in the waves. She sat there on the beach, looking out. That had been doing that a lot lately. Sora hung back behind her, leaning against a coconut tree. It was then that a warm, smooth, bottle shaped figure hit Kairi's foot and she immediately picked it up.

    Yay! Chapter 4!

It's a very short one. But 5 is written. I'll release it tommorow, I promise.

    Cold.

    Cold, cold, cold.

That was all Riku felt. It was all he could think about.

His cheek was pressed against the cold ground. It felt like sand, but the sand was not warm or soft like the sand back at Destiny Islands. No, this sand was cold, hard, and uninviting. He was lying on it, able to feel every place it was touching his body. His eyes were closed. Everything around him felt dark. As he began to regain all of his senses, he finally opened his eyes and sat up a little to get a good look at his surroundings.

He was right; he was on sand. But it wasn't normal sand. This sand was gray and spread out awkwardly over a blank landscape. There was no sky, but at the same time there was one. It was like an endless black landscape with small fragments of the light as the only lighting in the entire place. It stretched out on every side as far as Riku could see.

Just as he finished taking in the entire place, a familiar feeling crept over him. He felt sad; like there was no hope. He felt the weight of darkness pushing on him, as though he was carrying it on his back, pushing harder, begging him to give in. He felt alone.

His eyes widened in shock, and he summoned his keyblade without even thinking.

He was back in the Dark Realm.

I know, not a very good chapter. It's not very well-written either.

But it had to be done. Chapter 5 is one of my favorites. It turned out to be better than I thought it would.

    Comment!!

There will be almost no more wait, I promise!

I've decided to make a thread clearing the entire thing up about this. I'm sick and tired of people asking things and arguing about this issue. (Actually, it shouldn't even be an issue, becuase there was a cutscene in KH2 explaining it all). Hopefully people will see it and they won't have to argue any more.

I'm putting it in sort of an FAQ format I guess? :/

I'm not righ aligning the FAQ like I righ align most of my normal posts because I want it to be as easy to read as possible.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1.) Who was Xehanort?
Xehanort was one of Ansem the Wise's original apprentices. He showed up without memory of his past. He began experiments about hearts and heartless that Andem the Wise didn't aprove of. He eventually began calling himself Ansem and wrote the Ansem Reports unlocked in KH1. His experiments got himself and the other apprentices turned into heartless.

2.) What about Ansem in Kingdom Hearts 1?
The character that called himself Ansem in KH1 was actually Xehanort's heartless. He called himself Ansem becuase of Xehanort doing so before becoming a heartless. He was not really Ansem at all.

3.) Who is Ansem the Wise? What about DiZ?
Ansem the Wise is the real Ansem. He was the master of 5 apprentices doing experiments on Hearts and things along those lines. He forbid them to continue, but they did not. Xehanort began writing reports under his name, so he decided to go into "hiding", (for lack of a better word) calling himself DiZ, which stands for "Darkness in Zero."

    4.) And who is Xemnas?
Xemnas is the nobody of Xehanort. His name is an anagram of Ansem, only becuase at the time of his creation, his original being was calling himself that. He is the leader of Organization XIII, yadda yadda.... I trust you know his fate.

5.) What about the rest of Organization XIII?
The first 6 members of the Organization are the nobodies of Xehanort's apprentices.
    Org. member | Apprentice
    Xigbar-------------------------Braig
    Xaldin--------------------------Dilan
    Vexen-------------------------Even
    Lexaeus----------------------Aeleus
    Zexion-------------------------Ienzo

The other members (besides Roxas, of course) original names are unknown.
