I remember getting turned off after some critic compared it to James Cameron's Avatar of all things. But hopefully I won't judge a book or movie by its cover, so I'll just have to see when it comes out.
This. Also, it's not so much regret as it is just forgetfulness and seasonal savings, but I remember getting Assassin's Creed II just about many months after it came out. I was really enjoying to the point where I was raving about it to my friends who already played it and declared it "old news." In terms of old, old games, I regret not getting Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast. My Dreamcast broke before I realized how awesome it was playing it on my friend's system. :c
