*allowed Also, be my guest. We have turkey-everything. Everything.
I've been eating dinner at midnight for the past week and a half. Trying to get rid of these Thanksgiving leftovers has me goin' craaaazy.
I'll just go by the last person who answered, hehe~ (lol ninja'd) Wrong. 1.732 Rounded it up and it would have been ~2. Dat equation equals 19.71
Just π, right? Forgive me, it's been a year and half since I've taken math. I'm allergic to Math. EDIT: Oh, and what is the square root of three? c:
Now that I think about it, there was a time when I was interested in Minoring in Linguistics. If anyone here is a Linguistics Major/Minor, any advice in the field would be cool. c: But anyway, after taking many Latin classes, I can understand some level of French, Spanish, and the like, because certain words and grammar are kind of similar. I've been meaning to take more Latin as I got into college, but eh, ain't nobody got time for that. Besides, it's use is really not for speaking it in conversation than it is to translate 2,000 lines of poetry per semester. :x I've also been teaching myself Japanese (*surprise surprise*) since I was in 7th grade, so I suppose I can speak it fluently... writing in Japanese is a whole different matter, however. I have a penpal in Japan that speaks the Kansai dialect, so I can speak and understand it decently. I also been trying to take Chinese classes, but again with the whole college thing, there never seems to be a convenient time for me to go to lectures. :| I know very miniscule phrases in Cantonese, since my Grandma used to speak it, but that's really all.
Just incorporate TMNT into your studies. For example, two ninja turtles plus two ninja turtle equals four ninja turtles.
It all depends on how you answer these questions: What is art/entertainment? What is its intended purpose? I've been told that films were first created to simply make money at the box office. But lately, as we go through social movements and other changes into today, movies' existence has become ambiguous and vague, from teaching morals, to praising values, as well as give a different perspective on certain beliefs. Thus, the "definition" of art can change, along with its intention. In my opinion, whatever you like, you like. Whatever you hate, you hate. If a movie makes me think, then so be it. If I just sit there enjoying the graphics over the story, then so be it. If a movie makes me "turned off" or if I fall asleep during it, then so be it. For me, entertainment applies to many aspects of my life. It can be used to inspire me; it can be used to bring people together; it can be used to send a political message; the list goes on and on. So, how do I view it? Sometimes, I would have to analyze the crap out of movie/piece of music/or other art form to justify my reactions. Sometimes, I just have to leave my mind blank and fill it in with whatever the art form feeds me also to justify my reactions. It's a pretty philosophical approach, I admit, but that's how I come to enjoy it and/or at least try to accept the piece of art for what it is, even if the world deems it as "crap" or "the best thing ever."
Sometimes... sometimes I think that I was just like this woman in a previous life. I have no idea why. But I can feel it... mmm. guuuuuuurl
I tend to be the guilty one in terms of talking during the movie. But I really only *whisper* a comment or two to my brothers or friends at a part that really stood out to me. And sometimes people's reactions actually enhance the viewing experience because it says that a movie is engaging. In my book, that could be a good sign. However, it really should be expected that some people never pay attention to the beginning "Turn your damn phones off" among other announcements. I remember somebody brought in a f*cking laser pointer to a screening of The Avengers and not even the security's presence stopped them. Regardless, if I want to see a movie in theaters, I usually would try to go a couple of weeks after the opening weekend, so the crowds dwindle down and whatnot. Overall, I just think part of the reason is that we're naturally social beings. I remember my Indian friend was telling me that theaters in India have people always talking during the movie as a way of socializing with friends and family. We may have different cultural values in the West in terms of theater-going, but sometimes, if someone is being loud, there seems to be nothing we can do about it in the given situation (except complain to the staff and security if things turn out really crazy or bad... I guess it depends on the theater hehe). Anyway, that's just my two cents. I hope your theater-going experiences will become better. Life of Pi is actually one of the next movies I want to see in theaters. o.o I hope it's as good as the book.
I feel cold in my house... my fingers are about to snap off from frostbite... On the brightside... ... Christmas is almost here.

GETTIN' SOME CANDY #YOLO
Ooooh boy, the term "doujin" certainly expresses a completely different context for me... But I have absolutely no idea what there is out there. :|
Three-hundred-fourty-nine.
I remember my friend taking German I and his professor allowed the students to make all the Hitler and Nazi jokes they wanted during lectures. Just to get it out of their systems.
Simba Confronts Scar - The Lion King Musical (Broadway Recording) Probably one of the best fight scene music arrangements ever. Dayum.
No, no, that's the kind of chemistry they do in Breaking Bad. c:<
Yeah, technically, I only had to take one science credit (and that was Chemistry 101). But, I've been pressured to take a science minor and the only science I am relatively well at is Chemistry. And considering I suck at math and the sciences in general, as well as being a Theatre Major, I'm pretty much going 17-18 credits per semester. D: Here is my schedule as well for the sake of nothing in particular. Monday: Movement for the Actor (12:30 - 2:00) Theatre History (2:00 - 3:30) Juried Auditions (4:00 - 6:00) Tuesday: Chemistry 104 (9:30 - 11:00) Honors Seminar (12:30 - 2:00) Dialects for the Actor (3:30 - 5:00) Wednesday: Movement for the Actor (12:30 - 2:00) Theatre History (2:00 - 3:30) Thursday: Chemistry 104 (9:30 - 11:00) Chemistry Lab (11:00 - 2:00) Dialects for the Actor (3:30 - 5:00) Sooo, all in all, Thursdays are hell. :x
