"Agreed," Zoey replied to Dana. She turned just right and reached her hands out towards her weapon as she saw the familiar light blue soul come towards her in her other form. She felt the wood slide against her palms and wrapped her fingers around it, spinning the staff around to rip apart the bandages trying to snake around Zoey to catch her off guard. She felt the air shift as the bandages receded back, and took a wide defense stance. Zoey could see a silver outline that strangely resembled a huge hammer hovering above her and gripped Dana tightly. "Wrath of the Pharaoh!" A deep voice resided from within the coffin. "Here we go." Zoey muttered under her breath. The bandaged hammer came down and Zoey dodge-rolled out of the way. As she was dodging each hit, she could hear the Pharaoh chanting, "Wrath. Wrath. Wrath. Wrath." On the fourth time the hammer came down, the bandages receded back into the coffin. Zoey saw an opening and calculated quickly what to do. She couldn't get close enough to the enemy because of the bandages that kept coming out, and Dana was kind of like a spear... So... "Dana, get ready to fly. I'm going to throw you, stay in your weapon form." She raised her arm in the air and looked right at the red kishin egg that seemed to be emerging from the coffin at a gradual rate. "Ready..." Zoey pulled her arm back as far as she could. "GO!" Dana was flung in the air, spinning with a twist as Xara pushed her forward to impale the enemy right in the head. Mikio saw the silent command from his partner and nodded his head. He vanished in a flash of white light, his body turning into the claw weapon in Matthew's dominate hand. The farther they went down this maze, the more dangerous it could be later on. He wanted to be ready in case something happened, and he figured his partner would too.
The meister heard Dana scream and turned to her weapon. "Dana!" She was about to charge, only to be attacked by some bandages, hitting her in the arms and legs. She cringed and jumped back, going on the defense as she flipped on her hands and landed on her feet, crossing her arms across her in an x formation as she was hit again, almost in the face. The girl panted as she regained herself, assessing the situation in the shadows and silvers she could see. Dana was hanging upside down by her ankle, the pharoh had a good hold of her with the bandages. If Dana could transform, Zoey figured she could (unless she was just being lazy, but she didn't seem to be enjoying what was happening one bit). And since Dana probably couldn't turn into her weapon, Zoey would have to fight to get her weapon back. She was so stupid! She should have told her partner to transform and stay in her weapon form. Next time. Now wasn't the time to think of that. Zoey felt the breeze shift in the air and realized bandages in drill form were coming down on her. Zoey dodged rolled and ducked, using all of her senses she could to judged where the next blows would be, and how to get to her partner. She then grabbed on a bandage that had impaled into the ground, yanked it, and then felt it rip under her hand. Well, that was a good sign. The bandaged drills came down again, and Zoey used them to jump up on them, making her way to Dana. She jumped and grabbed on the bandage holding Dana's ankle and yanking it as hard as she could to get her weapon freed. Mikio blinked as he looked at the riddle. He scratched his head and then pressed his fingers under his nose, starring at it long and hard. He then titled his head to the side, trying to look at it upside down. He probably looked silly, especially with how tall he was, but he figured this had to do with direction and not math. Or longitude or latitude, otherwise there would probably be a map instead of a compass. "South?" he said quietly, reading what he found with those numbers, letters, and symbols upside down. "I could be wrong though..."
Well this was getting rather frustrating. More and more people were dropping like flies each time they attacked. She wanted to help them, she really did, but she felt something locked inside of her. As long as she could still fight though, she was going to give it everything she got. This enemy, who ever she was, she wasn't going to go down easy. She ran to the target again, landing another hit and then backed off. All they could really do was attack, block best they could, and keep going at it until something else happened. Xara dealt 25 Damage.
Xara gasped when the attack surged at her and braced herself, but was surprised to see she didn't get hit at all. Instead, she witnessed others being worse for the wear, even one falling unconscious. Xara gripped her keyblade tightly, not liking the looks of this at all. She couldn't help the others getting hurt, but she could attack what was in front of her. She watched as others went to attack, and then came back in full swing once more, landing a blow to the witch before hopping back once more to give others a chance. Xara dealt 25 damage!!
This was it, this was the chance to prove herself. Xara clutched her keyblade and ran forward to the witch, dealing a blow to her. She then jumped back to let others do their thing and to try to avoid any attacks from the offense side. Her eyes looked to the bubble in the middle of the room, holding a girl in place. She wondered briefly if their was a way to free her... Xara dealt 25 damage.
One minute she was standing there, the next thing she knew was that familiar darkness was back. Xara tensed and nearly jumped when she heard the voice of a angry woman. Well, that was probably the witch. Before she could blink or do anything, Xara was whisked away and trapped in some weird place. She banged and pounded against the chest, only to be set free not long after. Xara jumped out with her keyblade in hand, glancing around her. "Thanks!" She said to the boy she briefly met. She then saw two chests, one out of her reach, and another close by. "Hey! Go get that one, I'll get this one!" They were going to need all the help they could get at this point, and Xara felt as if she needed to get more experienced people than her on the job. The purple haired girl then ran over to the chest with her keyblade in hand and tapped on it, unlocking it and freeing Luna. Luna was freed.
"Well, I had mine all along. Never got it taken from me," Xara said quietly after everyone else in the small group responded to her questions and more. She extended her hand out and it appeared in a flash. She did a double take though when it wasn't the simple one she had, but it had gears and cogs lined up on it. "Whoa! It didn't look like this before. It just looked like a plain big key, I swear." She stared closer at it and glossed her hand over the metal work. How strange... She smiled to herself and looked up at the others. "Guess I still wasn't exempt." She waved her hand and it vanished. She looked up to see someone else come towards them and gave a little wave. "There's so many," Xara observed outloud. "So... any idea what we're supposed to do now? Are we supposed to go open more doors or something?" Green eyes glanced around the hallway of the castle, trying to figure out what was to be expected of them at this point. There was no letter this time to tell her where to go or what to do.
Xara was relieved that Hikaru seemed to have recognized her. She nodded her head, glancing at the other faces around her. Some seemed just as confused as she was, others seemed kind of out of it. "So... I kind of overheard some stuff... we had to go through a trial?" She asked, scratching her head. "When I met up with Ananta, she said something about not being able to summon her keyblade... something about a witch's spell?"
"Now, your first question that was asked of you," Master Leo began as he paced before his pupil, "'What is most important to you?' In the past, you answered that helping people was what you held high. But has your answer changed since then?" Xara pressed her lips together and glanced down, thinking hard. "Yeah," she finally said after a moment. "What's most important to me now... Is making meaningful friendships... Or even just one meaningful friendship." She laughed nervously and rubbed the back of her neck. "After you disappeared, I didn't think I needed friends... And then being stuck in that dark place with no one to talk to for so long... It was really lonely..." She lowered her from her neck, and pressed it to her chest. "And it was almost... as painful as the time you disappeared. But I want to try again, to make a friend I mean." Master Leo stopped walking and faced his back towards the young girl. He smiled sadly and tears almost flooded his eyes, but he could not show his pupil his emotions at this time. It would make the vision all the more harder to leave. "Your second question that was asked of you all that time ago was 'What do you want most out of life?' You answered that you wanted "one awesome story" to tell your home-world someday." He chuckled at the wording and stroked his beard, his back still facing her. "What say you now?" The girl's hands pressed together and she continued to sit criss-cross on the cold, white floor. She fell into deep thought and closed her eyes. If being in the darkness had taught her one thing, it was how to meditate and really think. "I want to find my purpose in all of this," Xara finally let out. "What am I truly worth in all of this as someone who holds this... keyblade. I mean, seeing all those people at that pillar of light? The look in their eyes... They looked defeated and... lost." She shook her head and continued on, "I missed out on so much, I just know it. And... how am I supposed to live with that? All I did was stumble around in the dark the whole time, literally." She laughed halfheartedly and stared down at her hands. "I'm still surprised I can wield the keyblade at all." The old man's face grew serious as he listened to his old student reply. "You will find what you seek in all due time, my dear," he answered gently. "Last question," he stated, turning around to face his pupil fully. "You were asked What do you fear of most?, and you said to freeze up in situations or not know what to do in a middle of a crisis... What.... Do you say now?" "To let everyone down," Xara answered without hesitation. "To not find my purpose and... and having to..." She looked to the side and sighed. She couldn't answer it fully. She gradually stood to her feet and looked up at her old friend. "Having to be all alone out there... again. I don't think I can do it..." Tears started to come to the girl's eyes. "I don't know any of those people... Or if I'm going to be of any help. Something bad happened, and-" Hands were laid on her shoulders, stopping the girl's panic spree of words. "That's enough," Master Leo whispered gently. "My child, you are only thirteen years old, nearly fourteen... You should not be expected to know the worlds and everything about them right now this instant." Master Leo shook Xara's shoulders softly, forcing the girl to look at him. "You are doing the best you can. And you will continue on this path and find your way. You must believe in yourself, and stop being so hard to that wonderful soul inside of you." Things will come in time." Xara was suddenly hugged and she blinked rapidly. She sniffed and hugged the old man back, closing her eyes to enjoy the moment. "Now... It's time to go... You must wake up..." ~~ There was a flash of light, and Xara stumbled out of the door she had went into what seemed like a bit ago. She blinked and realized something tickled her face and went to swipe at it. Her fingers were wet, and she realized that tears were coming down her cheeks. She sniffed and rubbed at them with the heel of her palm, and then paused when she heard voices talking. She looked up to see the group of people she saw at the pillar of light, or at least some of them. Not knowing what else to really do, and feeling kind of out of it, Xara walked hesitantly towards the group.... To the leader, Hikaru. That was at least one familiar face she remembered. Everyone else... not so much. What do you want out of life? Xara took in a deep breath and waved uneasily. "H-hey there," she called to the group standing around.
"Less danger the better," Mikio mumbled under his breath as he looked around, following close to Matthew. "Left sounds good to me." ~~ Zoey jumped back away from the casket. Her eyebrows furrowed as she stood in a defense stance and stretched out her hand towards her weapon. "Dana, time to get done with this place."
Xara was pushed gently to stand back as Master Leo held her by the shoulders. "Let me have a look at you. My, how you've grown," he said with a twinkle in his eye. The girl smiled as tears of joy still fell. She wiped them away with the back of her hand and sniffed. "Where have you been all this time? I've been worried sick about you-" "No time to lose," Master Leo said as he patted Xara on her shoulders. "Remember, this is only a dream and you're going to wake up soon." Her heart fell within her. "So this is not real," she whispered softly. Master Leo smiled a bit. "Ah, my child, this is real. I may not be really here, but I'm there." He pointed to her chest with a knobby finger. "And, because I'm there, I'm here. So right now, this is very much real, and at the same time not. You can't stay here forever with me, you have a new mission assigned to you." Xara glanced to the side, suddenly feeling a bit down. "What mission? All I did was go to one of those worlds, and then something happened... and all these people I've never seen before are there. And they don't know me, and I don't know them. But I have a feeling I missed something-" "Stop," the old man said firmly, taking Xara by the shoulders. "You're being so doubtful! That's not you at all. Look at yourself, you nearly began to cave what you have fought off for so long." Xara glanced at her arms, seeing small wisps of darkness rolling off her pale skin. She gasped and stepped back in alarm, only to see the darkness vanish all together. She still brushed it off as if that would get rid of it and then hugged herself, shivering at the thought of being taken over. "There, you see what I mean." Master Leo calmly walked over to the tween and pulled on her goggles a bit. "Keep your head straight about you. You have gained something some others have not; the ability to survive the darkness. However," he let go of the goggles, letting them snap against Xara's head. "OW!" The girl grabbed at her head and crouched down, rubbing at the stinging sensation on top of her head. "You walked in without the proper knowledge to protect yourself and left your heart nearly vulnerable to its power! You're lucky to still be here the way you are, and not totally consumed by its power." Master Leo tsked as his can floated to him from against the wall. He grasped it and began to walk around the room while Xara sat on the floor with crisscrossed legs, massaging her sore scalp with one hand. "Yeah, but I didn't, quote 'walked', into the darkness willingly," Xara agued, mumbling under her breath. Master Leo raised his eyebrow as he paused his pacing, glancing over his shoulder at Xara. "Ah, but who, my child, ever receives trouble so willingly and expectantly?" He turned fully to his student and raised one hand in the air, summoning an orb of light. "There are many bright and beautiful days," he flexed his hand until the light transformed into a dark and gloomy purple orb, "and yet there are also many sad and dark ones as well." Xara watched from where she sat, frowning a little. She touched her chest gently, realizing that she had felt those sad and dark days when Master Leo was gone. Her teacher looked on knowingly and continued on, "With the knowledge there is a darkness in the light, and a light in the darkness, that is the first step in protecting yourself for what will come." He flexed his wrist again so the light balanced out the dark gloom. "The light will sometimes try to persuade you to abandon all darkness, and the darkness will try persuade you to abandon all light. But the truth is, everyone needs a little of both to truly live... and that, my dear, is part of the reason you hold one of the keys..." Xara blinked and held out her arm in front of her. Her keyblade was summoned on the spot, and she held it carefully in her hands. She was proof that one could survive the darkness for who knew how long she was in there for. That thought placed a weight on her shoulders as she realized the responsibility that was given to her. She would have to be focused at all times and do her best to catch up as soon as possible. "But that is not all we need to discuss," Master Leo said, waving his magic away. "We need to talk about your answers to those questions you were asked so long ago..." The purple haired teen glanced up at her teacher. There was so much to talk about, yet so little time.
Zoey scratched her head when she listened to her partner rant. She wondered what Lord Death would think if he was actually watching them and listening to what Dana was spouting off. At the rate they were going and how they were handling this mission, Zoey didn't think they would be treated to ice cream. Maybe they really did go into this too quickly. But she wasn't going to be the one to drag her partner down at this rate. What was done was done, and they were nothing to go back and change it. They were going to have to make due for what they had. A giggle finally escaped from her and she covered her mouth to stifle it. "Chocolate with sprinkles? Heh. I don't think he has the power to make them taste a certain way. They just are what they are or what your mind wills them to be." There was that pessimistic side trying to come out. Zoey forced a smile and shrugged her shoulder. "Okay, left it is," she said, touching the wall as she walked. "Should we just stay left and see where it goes?" "A-agreed," Mikio said to Matthew's and Chaol's words. Seeing that no one else had really moved, he began to carefully move his way to the left as planned. They were going to walk ahead of him, right? He couldn't be the one to lead the group, that would just be too awkward and weird. Even though he seemed like he could be in authority because of his height, he felt too shy to actually be parading around this place. Strange though, the last thing he was expecting from this was a maze. Hopefully it wasn't like that scientist's idea of putting a cat in a box and... what exactly happened again with that? His mind was wandering again.
Xara ran away from the mob as fast as her legs could carry her. She thought she would forget how to run since she was in a place where she didn’t need to for so long. That part was still fuzzy to her. How long was she in the darkness for? Those thoughts were swept away when she continued on through the streets that seemed so foreign, yet so familiar to her. She couldn’t be taken to the Council, not yet. She didn’t get her answers yet or her purpose for holding this strange weapon. She knew the name of it, Keyblade. She sort of knew the purpose of it, to defend other worlds from the darkness. But she didn’t know anything else from that. If she were to go in front of the Council now, she wouldn’t have the answers they wanted and needed from her. And who knew then what they would do to her out of fear and misunderstanding. The tween found herself running through the alleyways, deep in the heart of Tanamzu. Her legs were beginning to feel tired and her lungs were burning for a break. Xara glanced up to have a look around her while slowing down from her hard run. There was a familiar, abandoned building entirely made out of glass windows in a dome shape. The windows had held their integrity, despite the area around it crumbling into nothing. Green ivy had grown around the window, obscuring the view on the inside like a secret. The girl recognized this place. She panted as she felt herself walking towards it, ignoring the droplets of water beginning to fall on her from the rain that had rolled in. Though the pain and the familiar ache in her heart began to appear, she pushed onward. He’s not here anymore, you dimwit. He left a long time ago. But what if- NO! Do you hear yourself? He’s not coming back. He abandoned you. He went on to do better things that to train you- HEY! Aren’t you listening to me-?! But Xara had walked into the shadows of the abandon botanical garden. She felt her lungs work against the humidity the further she walked in. Her eyes blinked to adjust to the darker lighting and she walked in circles to have a look at the familiar place. Everywhere she looked, something was glowing in the darkness; the trees with the leaves shimming in light greens, yellows, and oranges, the pebbles underneath her like the blue and white stars of the galaxy, roses, daisies, violets, tulips, and more glowing in their beautiful colors, fireflies and butterflies fluttering about in a quiet manner, and even some bushes glowed under the black light. A sound of a creek flowing brought a sincere peace over her soul, and she followed the path of shining pebbles to a place where only she knew about. Some vines had overgrown the path and the plants pressed against the glass, but she still knew where she was. You are too hard on yourself, little one, she heard the familiar voice of her memories say. I am not little! And I need to get better if I’m going to make a difference here! There was a chuckle that annoyed her old self, and she heard herself growl. Hey, I mean it! I know, and that’s why I am here. I am merely a guide to help you achieve what you desire. It is, however, a good idea to take your time… She walked over to an old willow tree that stood in the center of the garden, standing as tall as it could but drooping with age. Xara walked under the curtain of leaves and branches, making her way to the center where the trunk stood. On the trunk there was florescent artwork of a sun, swirling clouds, a moon, and stars dancing around in a never ending story. Xara walked around it until she found a place where the trunk indented into a cavern of sorts. The purple haired girl smiled as she walked forward and pressed her hand on the live tree, ducking and walking into the dark carven. She looked down to see white steps light under her feet as her shoes made contact, and descend down in a spiral. It was still here, after all this time. What do you mean?! I’m ready now! Patience, my child. When the time is right, you will find what you must do. For now, take the time to find yourself within. Xara walked down the steps into the willow tree, smiling as the stairs continued to light under her feet with each level. The air was becoming cooler, and easier to breathe in. A tree with a shallow root system is easy to push and pull down. But a tree with deep roots, like this willow, will stand tall no matter how one pushes and pulls away at it. The narrow stairway opened into a large circular cave made out of lightly colored stone. There was a beautiful mural painted of the universe with galaxy clouds, planets, stars of various color and sizes, asteroids, and the very small world of Tanamzu among the stars. The industrial world had all but melted away in here to show how insignificant they really were. But that’s not what caught her attention in this room. In the middle stood a figure in an old cream colored robe with gold threads oriented around the hems and sleeves. Xara felt her breath catch in her throat. She didn’t want to believe it, but here he was… “So like you, my child, I will teach you to stand strong like this willow. So no matter what you may do, no matter where you may go… You will be able to stand for what you believe in and be a beacon unto those who will someday look to you for guidance.” “Master… Master Leo.” The figure raised his hooded head and turned to the direction of the fourteen-year-old girl’s voice. She could see his wrinkled face and a smile form on his lips before he turned fully in her view. Carefully, he took off his hood to reveal a bald head with cancer spots and a kind face. “Hello, my child. It’s been far too long.” Xara’s green eyes were brimming with happy tears. Her aching heart had soared into heights she thought it could never reach again. “Master Leo!” She ran to him as he opened his arms out to her. She wouldn’t let him out of her sights again. Her arms wrapped around him and she hugged him tightly. She couldn’t hold it back anymore and sobbed, her shoulders shaking. “You’re here! You’re really here!” The old man smiled and gently patted his pupil on the head before hugging her back just as warmly. “Yes, my dear Xara. I am here…”
Oh snaaaaap. That would be an interesting story too! I like the theme that is going on here with the story requests. xD I'll do my best with this, thank you for the application! Hahaha, don't worry, I'll keep it platonic. I like the freedom to figure out how this is will play out. Thank you for the application, your story will be done soon~ Seriously everyone, I like the themes of these stories. An alternate plot, followed by the thoughts of a character during/after the story! This is going to be fun to try and write it out. Keep up the Apps! I'll get the stories eventually.
Hm... HMMMM. The gears in my head are turning on this one. Seems like a pretty interesting idea. There was so much talking in that scene that when Lea showed up, I was like "OH THANK GOODNESS, SOMEONE TO MAKE IT LESS COMPLICATED! Thank you sweet fireylocks." But I think I can figure it out. I'll probably ask you for some input. Stay tuned! c: And thank you for giving me the opportunity to write! Aw! Thank you so much, Fearless! I'll try my best to keep this afloat. With that being said, I like the idea of a fluffy afterthought oneshot. It seemed kinda weird for Sora not to talk about it or think much of it after it all happened. I mean for crying out loud, he was having a tea party with a goofy hat and glasses right afterwards like nothing happened! XD And I'm totally comfortable with the pairing. I love it and think it's adorable~ I'm not like Hollywood though and make it too much of a big deal if I can help it. It's a simple and clean ship, nothing too fancy or too much and that's what I like about it. I will take on this idea. Seems like a really interesting one-shot to take on and it'll help clear some stuff up the fans might be wondering about if I do it right. Thank you for this awesome opportunity! c: stay tuned!
Gees, what a mouthful of a title Spoiler: Makaaaa, OF. THE .PEEEEEEEN! Howdy! I'm Maka, Maka the- oh wait, wrong fandom. AHEM. I'm Maka, also known as Friendly_Heartless in the dark days of May 2008 KH-Vids. I noticed a lack of activity in the Writer's Nook of late and I wanted to spice it up a bit, try to shake some life back into it, y'know? The only way I know how to try to revive it is writing stories; particularly Kingdom Hearts Fan fiction. Now, the problem is, I'm experiencing a bit of a writer's block. You see, there's so many characters and so many possible stories that I'm a little lost on what to write about. So I'm enlisting YOU (my fellow forum peers) to help me get started on this wonderful journey of stories that were meant (or were not meant) to be! What's in it for you? Well for one, I'll give you credit for the idea, I'll even dedicate to you if you want me to. Two, you get to be entertained to see how someone takes on your story prompt. Three, if this gets off the ground, I'm planning to make a fanfiction.net account and link all the readers there back to KH-Vids (and your story idea shall be famous, maybe. Your name will be known by the newbs as the gods of this world, blessing them with fanfiction they crave). Hopefully that'll bring some wonderful, new friends and we can see some life back in this place again. I'll tell you now, I'm a bit rusty with my story writing. But the more stories you send me to write, the better I'll get! You'll see. Plus, you'll get entertainment out of someone trying to write your idea of a KH fanfiction. Before we get started, there's a couple of things to keep in mind about all of this: ♥ 24 Years Old Hag ♥ Full-time Preschool Teacher by day ♥ Creative Ninja by night ♥ Played Kingdom Hearts? Yup, KH1, KHCoM, and KH2 ♥ Sushi is the best food ever ♥Experience with Writing?: Been writing since I could remember. Didn't spell very well at first, but I got better. Writing was my first way of communicating with the world. Now if you're still interested, let's get started with my rules for this Workshop and what I will be willing to work with and some things I will never write about, ever. ✘ I will only write rated K (for kids)- T (for teens) stories ✘ I will not write rated M (mature) stories ✘ I will not write vulgarity (some swear words, maybe.
