Namine turned to look back at Roxas, her soft smile staying on her lips as she gazed up at him. "I'd say you two deserve some relaxation time too, since Kairi and I got ours in earlier," she said, recalling that she and her best friend had sat on the couches while the boys were making dinner. Well, they had been on the couches some of the time. Regardless, that time had been relaxing.
Yuppers. xD
Namine nodded, hearing Kairi's encouragement for the boys. "It's so easy that I wouldn't hesitate to send you two in the kitchen right now to make some brownies," she said, looking at Roxas with a smile before she turned her head to look at Sora, whose eyes had widened. "You're making us do more work?!" Sora asked, afraid of going back into the kitchen with Roxas. After all their bickering earlier, and the bread, he didn't want to do any more cooking or baking. Namine laughed softly, shaking her head. "No, not tonight. Some other time," she assured him. Both of the boys were probably tired from making the meal earlier, and besides, Namine at least wanted to spend some time with her two best guy friends. She was sure that Kairi felt the same way, too.
I'll have you know that as soon as you got off, my house turned into an oven. xP I was wishing I had a pool.
Namine smiled softly, shaking her head a little bit. "Baking is a lot easier than cooking," she told him. It really wasn't all that complicated, whether you were making cookies or brownies. Mix stuff together, get the right measurements of each ingredient...It was a pretty easy job if you followed instructions.
Howdy. ;3 Enjoy the pool?
Namine had looked over in time to see Sora enjoy the last brownie before she focused on Roxas, seeing the content expression on his face. She couldn't help but smile, the girl leaning forward and setting the empty plate on the coffee table as she spoke. "Someday, you two need to learn how to make brownies yourselves," she said. Since they loved the treat so much, they should have learned how to make it for themselves.
Sora ate what was left of Kairi's brownie and enjoyed it, the brunet enjoying what must have been his seventh brownie. He had a sweet-tooth, and he wasn't ashamed about it. He just wished that he had brownies and cookies in his own home; it would make life in NYC much more enjoyable.
"Alright then," Sora finally said, a soft smile appearing on his lips when he saw how genuine Kairi was with her answer. The brunet bent over slightly and gave her a light kiss on the top of her red hair before he reached for the brownie, gently taking it out of her grasp and taking a bite out of it.
Alright, then I'll see you later!
Sora glanced down at the brownie, seeing how delicious it appeared. "...You sure you don't want it?" he asked, making sure that Kairi didn't mind him having it. If she wasn't hungry, then he would take it, but if she was just being polite by giving it to him when she wanted it herself, then he wouldn't take it.
Okie dokie, I'll come back on about two hours after you get off.
"If you're hungry, you should eat it," Sora said, holding Kairi's gaze. He wouldn't sink so low as to take food from her if she wanted to eat it; that would have been awful of him. He would never be inconsiderate with Kairi, even if in this case, it was just a brownie.
Hmm...should I check back in about an hour, or is that too short? Two hours?
Sora shifted his gaze to the brownie in Kairi's hand, the teen realizing what she was doing. He looked back up at her after a brief moment, though, shaking his head a little. "I don't want to take if from you," he insisted softly. It was kind of her to offer him the treat, but he had more than his fair share earlier.
'Kay. xD How soon do you think you'll be back?
Sora saw Kairi's gesture out of the corner of his eye, the brunet shifting his gaze away from Roxas and the brownie to see Kairi looking at him expectantly. A weak smile appeared on his lips as he started over, the brunet walking around the back of the couch and then going around it, standing next to where Kairi sat.
:3 So, when do you think you're gonna jump in the pool?
Sora rolled his eyes at Roxas's pleased expression, the brunet actually a little jealous that he had been given a brownie. But he wasn't about to ask Kairi to give him one of hers; he had eaten a lot of the snack earlier, so it was only fair that his other friends had some too.
Haha. xD Very good, then.
